- There are so many covers of this on YT and a lot of them are superb. Its a testament to the sheer brilliance in the composition and especially the recording that Jean Michel put together all those years ago. Thanks to Louis for doing camera. Equipment used;

As someone that grew up hearing JMJ almost everyday, I can honestly say this sounds perfect. I can barely tell the difference.

Excellent video that not only has a exceptionally great Oxygene 4 cover plus it shows in the beginning of the video how it was made, including how the famous Jarre sounds were made with smallstone phaser, for those who are curious.

@mattsynth Cheers matt, always good to hear from you:) Funny how most of you guys love the setup bit, I should do more of it, I thought it would be bloody boring:) never doing a jarre cover again though , too much work and not enough enjoyment. And I mean that as a compliment to Mr. jarre, the notes are easy to find but the actual sound is very difficult to get right. I must have spent 3 or 4 days multitracking this..Ouch:)

It's a beautiful cover of Jean-Michel Jarre's Magnum Opus Oxygene pt. 4. You even use small stone and analogue synthesizers. I'm a fan and an admirer of JMJ's work myself. I happen to have JMJ's Oxygene trilogy CD-Box set collection, allowing me to listen to all 3 Oxygene albums on each their own CD's. I also have Oxygene 3 and a 2015 re-issue of the original 1976 album Oxygene on LP, allowing me to listen to the wonders and enchanting electronic tunes by JMJ himself, mixing the analog with the digital and mashing up the the old with the new...*Round of applause*

Having watched all your previous videos, I have always wished to be "the fly on the wall" as we say where I come from, to actually see how you prepare for your videos. It was therefore a great pleasure to follow the intro of this video, to get an idea of how you prepare. High quality work, as usual. My credits also goes to Louis the camera man for the great visuals. I expect to hear mr. Jarre perform Oxygene 4 himself live in his first outdoor concert ever in Oslo/Norway on Saturday 28th :-D.
