I’ve skied the Grand Massif for 17 years and I’ve seen great seasons with snow all the way down to Morillon. When the snow reaches the valley the run from the Tete to base is lovely as well as Cascades from Flaine to Sixt, however the red down to Vercland from 1600 when the snow is right is probably my favourite run down to the Giffre . It makes Samoens as a base more accessible and La Reposette restaurant/bar at Vercland is always a superb place for food and drinks after a day on the piste!
    Love the videos

@@callummj6747 thanks Callum. Awesome that you have been able to ski the Grand Massif for so long… it’s definitely somewhere I’d like to base myself in the future.
You are right about snow dependant and in a good season there are some great runs back to Morillon and Vercland. I actually took the Vercland run this winter knowing I’d have to walk out the last few hundred metres 🙈 still it’s a story to tell.
Hoping to make it back when the snow is flowing! Have a great season.

@@Simonjburgess it a great resort to base out of, season passes I’ve had usually give you days in neighbouring resorts, usually 25 mins drive to les Gets, 45mins-1hr to Megeve and Chamonix once you’ve tracked the Grand Massif out.
Infrastructure has massively improved since the club med money has come into the Samoens side, the old connections from Les Carroz and Morillon were cold, slow and painful especially during peak times!
      Enjoy the season ahead

Such a cool ski area. Are there many joined ski areas in Japan? I remember Goryu/47 and Cortina/Tsugaike
