I've been doing a version of this that is SO much more complicated and has been taking me nearly 4 hours and so many foils...this is LIFE CHANGING THANK YOU
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I took my new client from previous highlighted blonde to a beautiful blended balayage. I’ve tried several techniques but this one is by far the best!
Looks great! Soo good to see you left the lightened ends OUT and not overlap on the bleach!! It kills me to see so many stylists do that and fry the hair. It may not happen at first, but they weaken the hair so much over time. I love your simple and easy approach that gave amazing and thorough results!!! We need more real life in the salon techniques. Subscribed ❤
You are so talented and you explain your process so simply that I actually understand it! You love for Jesus radiates and I am so thankful I found your channel! I will be binge watching all your videos during my down time.
Cosmetology student here 🙋🏼♀️ I’ve been watching some of your videos over the past few days and I just want to say thank you so much for the amazing tips!! Your work is awesome and these videos are so incredibly helpful 🥰💕
I REALLY wish stylists would show before and after with STRAIGHT HAIR, curls/waves can hide a lot. It’s hard to determine the true difference when you only show the hair after being curled. I am pretty sure the result is phenomenal though, this is EXACTLY what I was looking for and I appreciate you uploading this!
I totally agree with you! I always tell my clients when they show me photos that it’s going to look completely different when straight! great point to add the difference to videos!
it's the best reverse balayage on youtube ! and i have seen around 100 videos. the only thing i'd do differently is before shadow root application , saparate some weaves on the top area of her head without putting any shadow root on them, just stick them with hair conditioner to a foil. in order to leave some bright contrast at the roots area so the top doesn't look too dark compared to the ends.
Great job! This is literally a godsend! I just tried to give my daughter some fun blonde pieces and it was wayyy yo subtle looking, so literally the video "from highlights to balayage" is just what I needed to watch. Thx♡
Finally an awesome video. Very good explanations, a lot of information without nonsense talking like all the other videos from other people. Thanks so much, you saved my hair.
This looks so good and so natural! I love how shades eq level 10s are super sheer so you don’t have to be so nervous about them pulling darker! Great work ❤️
Tje result is amaaazing thank you for showing the process. Based on other videos on lowlight, i thought that we needed to add an orangy color to the mix to put back the darker pigment that was taken away with bleach, but here you just used shade eq 7n for the lowlight. Thank you again
it depends on the client, she was looking for an ashy undertone so instead of adding any warmth I did a neutral knowing it would come out ashy as opposed to neutral.
Absolutely amazing tutorial you are absolutely so talented I love all your tutorials thankyou for teaching us ,could I please ask when you colour over the lowlight with some powder Lightner does it create a real warm colour band?
Finally a pro!! Amazingly beautiful result 🫶🏼! Starting from the technique , to the colors and the explicit detailing and explanations! I would really recommend mentioning time needed , and in case there’s any substituted products other than what you’re using cuz i cant honestly find them in my country 😅 Much much love for your beautiful soul and talented hands💜💜💜
You make this look so easy, woww 😍 (lol not that I'm gonna try it tho😛, def more work than I'm up for, but also totally aware that I don't have the full skill set😅😅)
Thank you this is exactly what I’m going to do for a client next week and your technique is perfect. I think I will be using 6n SEQ as shadow root and low light. Do you think would be too dark??
So~so clever! Has given me some fab ideas, Poppy is the cutest (next to my gorgeous baby Rottweiler of course) sending you lots of luv from Australia xxx
Wow so talented! I love this technique, I always use shades Eq on damp hair, I’m so scared to use it on dry hair but you made it look so easy! While it’s processing it looks so scary to me I always want to rinse off early, how long did you leave it on for? I love this I’m def trying this on my client on Monday ! I can’t wait to try it! Just a little nervous to do the shadow root on dry hair ? Thank you for this video❤ wish me luck! 😊
Great video! On a side note, I'd love to see how to do a money piece/front hair with a fringe. Not a whispy shaggy fringe, but a straight statement fringe. I can't seem to find anything on any of the main hair channels I watch.
ohh, I haven't seen that either! I actually have a client with bangs who would be willing to try it! I'll shoot a video of it in a few weeks when she comes in!
ahh I loved this end result!! This may be a silly question but is there a reason some stylist choose to bring the lowlight down the whole strand versus midway when creating depth? I sometimes feel like when it’s brought down all the way some clients feel too dark
I love it! Might be a stupid questions, but do you have to mix developer with the Redken EQ stuff too? Or does it just go straight on the hair?? If so, what level of developer. They did horrible highlights on my hair and I’m trying to fix it😅
Hi this looks beautiful! Question for you when you do highlights and lowlights at the same time after done processing can you wash both out at the same time at the bowl or should we do the low lights first then the highlights and then tone?
you can wash both at the same time! if you’re worried about the colors bleeding rinse with cooler water, but i’ve never had an issue! i’m pretty quick at rinsing though
I like my grown out roots, the only thing that bothers me are the gray peeking through, I want to find a best method to fix it at home. I colored my roots with 7A demipermament in the past and I liked how it looked, but it might be smigde too dark and my roots looked even more visible the minute they started to grow, so it probably gave me only one extra month untill I had to visit a hairdresser. My roots are probably 6 months old now😅😂 but my hairdresser does good job sometimes and not so good at other times, so I never know what will I get, and for that reason I am hesitant to go there everytime😅

Great video - can I ask you what colour you would use for lowlights for hair with a LOT of warmth so as to stay on a cool tone? Thanks!

So beautiful! Great Job!
Absolutely beautiful work👏🏽
Hermoso trabajo!!!! no se inglés pero al ver tu trabajo y la secciones q haces en el cabello más o menos entiendo . Dios le bendiga.
Thank you this is exactly what I’m going to do for a client next week and your technique is perfect. I think I will be using 6n SEQ as shadow root and low light. Do you think would be too dark??
it depends on her natural level, remember shades eq processes about a half level darker so if you’re unsure mix it with a 7
Wow amazing! So thankful I found this❤️ great job
So talented Ashley 😃love ur work , and so enjoy the video’s .. 💖
So~so clever! Has given me some fab ideas, Poppy is the cutest (next to my gorgeous baby Rottweiler of course) sending you lots of luv from Australia xxx

You’re amazing! Love this❤️ really helps a new stylist
I love your work!!!!
Wow!!! Amazing!!!
Did you not root tap the front money piece and the back highlighted area after in the bowl.? Or at all? Looks great!!
no I didn't tap the money piece at all on her!
Oh that looks so pretty 🥰👏🏻 and i love ur fun haitstyle here ❤️
thank you 💗

Thank you for the sectioning tec!
This is awesome !! When she comes back would you do the same placement of highlight and lowlight or would you do something different ?
she likes to change it up a lot, so we would prob do something a little different!
ahh I loved this end result!! This may be a silly question but is there a reason some stylist choose to bring the lowlight down the whole strand versus midway when creating depth? I sometimes feel like when it’s brought down all the way some clients feel too dark
it definitely depends on the clients hair, if they have no depth in the ends it may be a good idea to bring some through
Beautiful job!👏
So gorgeous!
thank you!!! Go to wholyhair.com if you want to get on the waiting list for my future classes💗
Absolutely love
So glad I found this video, doing this tomorrow.. Thank uu !!!
I love it! Might be a stupid questions, but do you have to mix developer with the Redken EQ stuff too? Or does it just go straight on the hair?? If so, what level of developer. They did horrible highlights on my hair and I’m trying to fix it😅
you would use the shades eq developer
Congratulations on your baby
You’re like the third Olsen sister stg I was like Mary Kate?? Ashley?? 😂❤ love the hair technique
ahh thank you, i’ve always loved them!!! ❤️
Did you put the toner all over the hair after washing out the color and bleach?
So pretty!
This is beautiful! 💕
Excellent technique,thank you
🤩 love it!!!
Amazing job!!! What a difference!
Did you add the glaze only on highlights or all over the hair?
Pure art
awesome !
This girl is amazing
Great work ! 💕🇦🇺
Love this video!!
Wow I actually now know how to explain what I want when I go to get my hair done now lol
yay💗
Amazing work 🥰 how long was application time ?
about 30 minutes
For lowlights you use the redken formula that you use for shadow roots?
Great job.❤❤❤
Very pretty!
When you do lowlights don’t you want to fill warm tones ? Is it just 7n
Good work 👏 🙌 👍 👌 💪
Beautiful🌷🌷
How many foils on the small crown part would you have done to achieve this look
I like my grown out roots, the only thing that bothers me are the gray peeking through, I want to find a best method to fix it at home. I colored my roots with 7A demipermament in the past and I liked how it looked, but it might be smigde too dark and my roots looked even more visible the minute they started to grow, so it probably gave me only one extra month untill I had to visit a hairdresser.
