Midwife notes:
Keerthana took 4 hours to go from 5 to 7 cms, 6 hours from 7 to 8 cms, another 4 to reach 10 cms and then 4 hours to push the baby. This labour was long & asked more of everyone present in the room. Determination, grit, patience & faith. And Pranab made sure there was all of this in good measure.
We experience the power of mothers & babies during birth when we stop viewing them from the lens of textbooks. This wasn’t a textbook birth & it didn’t have to be.
Because births are just births.
