I just wanna say "Thank you" for making this movie to let the world know of what happened to the people of Cambodia, of the lives lost, the families broken, innocents taken and about the culture that was destroyed. This movie and the movie "The Killing Field", definitely a very powerful movie to watch.
While watching this movie I didn't know Loung was a real person, it makes it all the more heartwarming. But what a fantastic experience for Loung to be able to see her family recreated this way ❤️

When i watched this movie, my heart filled with rage. The Khmer Rouge butchered, starved and beaten hundreds of thousands of innocent people under a brutal communist regime. And to think that this is what the liberals today want to bring to the U.S.
If you can get your hands on the book "Surviving The Killing Fields" it is an amazing book by the actor who played Dith Pran in the film "The Killing Fields". It is his story of his time under Pol Pot and how he escaped Cambodia and ultimately ended up being the lead actor in The Killing Fields.
Very touching! Surely picked a tear or two. 😢 Please, don't set the focus on a certain geographic point on this earth. Is about what we human do to eachother. 💔 There, is bigger leçon to be learned from. We, humans, really don't have to create these attrocities to eachother in order to learn about life. And I do not believe that the dark energy out of these wars ever serves anyone of us. I'm sure we can live in peace & harmony! 🙏👭👫👬🌍👫👬👭🙇

Greatness. We have seen so many photos of the mutilated men from the Khmer Rouge period, the film helped visualize how much the minefields played a part in it. One of the saddest scenes is when the young Luong character recalled the planting of the minefields, she stopped, understood what was happening and sadly watched many of the young people running in fear and being blown by the minefields. Gripping movie.
