      It didn't even respond to the letter that its own sisters was writing.. it wanted so hard to be American n white..n forget where it came from.
      It seduced a weak White male.

    I have never met a strong person with an easy past. Thank you for sharing your story and the story of millions of Cambodians. My family also escaped this horrific atrocity. Life in the USA is a blessing ❤️🙏

    I read your book many years ago actually when I was in my teens. To truly help people you must first understand pain. Thank you for sharing your story with the World. I just saw the movie I felt i was transport back to when I read your book like 10 years ago

    IVE READ YOUR BOOKS (LULU IN THE SKY) INCREDIBLE WHAT YOU EXPERIENCED,YOUR HUSBAND WHAT A GEM. SO LUCKY TO HAVE SURVIVED TO TELL YOUR STORY FOR SO MANY PEOPLE WHO STRUGGLE DAILY WITH THERE PAIN YOU HAVE HAD SUCH A EFFECT ON ME. THANK YOU

    Great speech, meaningfull and direct! What You don't tell the world is that Khmers have been through suffering and killing for many centuries.
    You should also tell the world WHAT were the CAUSES and WHO were the GUILTY parties? Especially during that STUPID Vietnam War!

    Fact: the Khmer Rouge is only 3000 after Sihanouk join them they became 150000 strong. There is no mention of this from her. The spin stop here!

      Damn sihnanouk. His son Also asked the Khmer Rouge for help when he was losing the battle against hun sen in the late 90s

      Yes, what you say is true. But her role/mission/expertise is not giving in a historical account of the origins of the regime, or how Cambodian politics played out/is playing out. It's about the personal effects of war/trauma on a child, and ongoing disaster of landmines.
