Another massively dope talk by the People's Party. I am not familiar with this comedian and leader but I am going to definitely pay more attention to her. Thank you for having her on the show.
(About the WH correspondents dinner) "I didn't do it for the people in the room. I'm doing this for the people at home" And the people at home enjoyed it immensely!!
THIS WAS SO DAMN GOOD!!! And so many Liberals AND Conservatives need to see this. Man, they hit on some good stuff!!! Wolf was always a unspoken genius to me. And I'm glad that she got the spotlight that she did! And, is still going!!! :)
Another Excellent Show! I Thank The People's Party and Brother Kweli for Hosting and having a platform for thought provoking conversations with intelligent guest. You're created a warm, inviting & comfortable space. Keep up the Great work!
Wow! I worked for Bear Sterns in the early '70's as a summer job during high school as a messenger. They were at 1 Wall St/40 Broadway. We were at the bottom of the totem pole. Talib, love your show. You went to my HS (BTHS). I graduated in '73, the last all male class. I really dig Michelle Wolf. She's my second favorite Michelle, after the former FLOTUS. Oh. You know what got Michelle over so quickly (9 yrs)? To me she looks like Charlie Brown's little sister Sally (Didn't you mention "Sleepy Eye"? Sally First appearance: August 23, 1959 Charlie Brown’s little sister believes the world owes her an explanation. Why does she have to go to school? Why doesn’t Linus, her Sweet Babboo, love her? And what’s the capital of Venezuela? Sally is always on the hunt for answers-and when she doesn’t get them, she comes up with a whole new philosophy: “Who cares?” Did you know: For 6 months, Sally experienced amblyopia ("lazyeye") and wore an eye patch.
Entertaining, educational, and inspiring! More power to comedy that helps people AWAKEN (...and I'm sometimes one who NEEDS that...) and be de-hypnotized, which is important, esp. in this day & age(!)

" White women might be the biggest problem in our country" We want to take on this victim role even though we've been the oppressors" Michelle Wolf 2019 ( The most honest White woman in America!)
By your statements alone you didn't watch this interview nor her conversations on Joe Rogan's podcast. Michelle Wolf believes in small government & rejects " Wokeism" & SJWs... WTF are you talking about?
At minute 45. I think that's one of the things that is wrong with people in this country is that people latch onto to labels. Democrats and Republicans ....
I seriously think she just doesn't realize that's it's a pseudoscience. Like if you believe in it that's fine, but you shouldn't act like everyone does lol
I have the same experience with my social media- if the post is a "Feminist" general post- attention- something about black women, their point of view or even something positive- crickets. It's really apparent.
They didn't say "all". Michelle made a general statement because it helps drive the culture in the right direction. You may feel like she's ignoring you and other good people, but there's just so many bad ones it's still worth talking about.
If you are talking about the co-host, I embarrassingly felt the same way! It's like that friend's friend that shows up as an extra for lunch and you are trying super hard to include her but she jumps in to conversations with little to no value comments....and you feel awkward because you really want to like her because she's your friend's friend. #sigh
Loved the convo!! Especially the point, although there were quite a lot, about how cancel culture projects backwards, applying current standards to historical cultural contexts. One example that drives me most bonkers = evaluating Saul Alinsky, a mid-20th century community organizer in Chicago, almost invariably by reference to an entirely fictional *Rules for Radicals.* While Alinsky wrote such Rules, they were all about organizing powerless ppl in particular communities at a particular time. Now they’re knowingly revised or just rewritten with today’s hot button *national* issues that Alinsky would not recognize and which would have been entirely irrelevant to what he was trying to do. By people not even born for another 40 years, no less.

Guy who is mixing your audio? The gate needs some work. Voices are getting clipped because the gate isnt releasing quick enough or the threshold is off.
Oh snap! I just realized who she reminds me of. *Melissa Villaseñor!* They don't look exactly alike, mind you. But they have just a little bit of the same presence.
Melissa is problematic AF though. She's one of those white washed Latino people that harbors a lot of b/s against black people. Her Twitter history was NOT GOOD. And it's disappointing, because she is funny and talented on SNL.
On the heels of 100 years of Womens Right to Vote (White Woman) look at the racist views of Susan B Anthony, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, up to how they treated the founders of Delta Sigma Theta in the Women's march.
I socialize with a very staunch conservative (aka racist) on my job and he have proven to me that he loves comedy and is very easily humored, just as easily as he is angered... I just believe that they/he takes the music, comedy or anything else that we as Black people do too seriously sometimes as serious as death threats... Like this guy said he called his Wyte son-in-law an N-word because he was not supported enough towards his daughter and that he was basing that on Chris Rock’s explanation in one of his comedy bits and I was stunned for a lil Bit because he seemed so genuinely dumb for a sec...
Smaller states are still enslaved in terrible ways. Shoutout to Talib’s production team. Nary a word missed. Perfectly mic’d. Perfectly lit.
Nice set too.
Yeah, however I wish they'd duck the mic / use a compressor better to fix the hum on Talib's mic, especially in the last part from 50 minutes on
