Everyone has done indomitus, but these are always a pleasure to watch (especially since you're doing them as blood angels - and better than the people I've watched!). Quick question for you, have you ever used contrast with primers other than GW's two contrast undercoats? Are the results any decent? I want to try contrast but all I have is an army painter light grey right now (grey seer is out of stock in my LGS)
I have painted metal paints over the primer (vjello metal colour is honestly the best metal range for me) and it has applied smoothly over that. Can’t say that I’ve used other primers though.
I've used Contrast over a couple of different primers and got some interesting results. Over Leadbelcher I've gotten some really cool metallic colours and over Mechanicus Standard Grey I've got some dirty grungy looking things. I reckon over a light grey you'll get similar results to Grey Seer, though it's maybe worth testing on some sprue first?
I'd love to see some more AOS models in the future. Also, Salamanders Marines would be pretty neat, maybe their new chapter master with the dragon scale cloak. Some Tyranids would be fun too. I love contrast paints, and your channel is the best I've found
Thanks so much! We've got Celennar and Teclis, Hammers of Sigmar, Vanari Dawn Riders, Vanari Auralan Sentinels and Lumineth Endless Spells coming up. I've got Alarielle in a box ready to go as well as the rest of the Sylvaneth range... As for Salamanders, I've got plans to do each of the first founding chapters it's just finding the time in amongst all the new stuff!
Warhipster oh man, I cannot wait that all sounds amazing! Your models don’t look like the standard Contrast paint jobs on Twitter or FB. This is my new favorite style of painting. It’s so relaxing
It’s a special kind of paint sold by GW - that’s basically paint without any pigment in it. You use it to thin the Contrast paints without disrupting their slightly special properties.
GREAT JOB for this tutorial ive only used contrast once it was on a sigmar figure free in the shop but you know how to use it properly i think its too fast i think it is for me haha

Great video - really like how it all comes together and a change of shoulder pad colour will make any chapter sing!
Absolutely! Same vibe as with the Primaris Librarian video. It’s just a simple shoulder swap and colour change 😁
Great video, I'm going to use this a a point of reference for my indomitus chaplain. 👍
Really love your videos and can't wait to see this channel blow up in popularity over the next year (can definitely see that happeing)!

@@grimharkness Why did I not think of testing it on sprue >< I facepalmed a little bit, but thanks mate!
@@archfrank honestly, it only occurred to me to do it some time last year!
Another great contrast tutorial dude. Well done and beautiful as always. Love your videos.
Thank you so much!
This is awesome, I love how you do your black armour!

Fantastic work as always!
You’re so very kind 😁😁
Love it man, this is great stuff.
Sorry I’m completely new to miniature painting. What does contrast medium mean in the paints used section?
It’s a special kind of paint sold by GW - that’s basically paint without any pigment in it. You use it to thin the Contrast paints without disrupting their slightly special properties.
@@Warhipster ah okay thank you. I feel stupid now 😂
Not at all! It’s a bit of an odd one and if you’re new to miniature painting then it’s possibly not something you’d expect to come across.
wow. my indomitus chaplain has a whoe different chestplate
Does it? That's interesting!
I like how the sponsor has my Instagram name aside from that very detailed looks fantastic!

Glad it was helpful!
