Yeah, really good. And thats the message from Jung to, right? The pshycoterapist the Guy in this vide is refferencing. Most people repress their shadows, but ren is not doing that here, he has taken control and manage to use it for greater purposes.
Such an insightful comment. I knew what was happening but didn't really catch the significance of the angry side waiting for permission from the softer side. Thank you.
Man one thing I learn with all this is how much we love ren we don’t even know him personally. Yet he touched all of our heart with his genius art painting a picture that most people wouldn’t understand yet look at all of us right now white , black , brown , yellow. Purple, blue FEEL IT HIS MAN PAIN ITS REAL ITS SO REAL THAT ALL OF US HAVE THEM SAME PAIR OF SHOES . Ren is the only artist that actually made me want to be better just with his story how he over came his illness and came on top never sold out never broke character because he never played one. I was broken bad when I first heard hi ren I was relieve when there was some one out there feeling wat I was feeling and boom I found the renegade from all parts of the world yet with the same soul as ren it’s beautiful music saves life and ren did that for me. Listen to his makes me want to stand up to my problems and own it
Ren inspired me to make changes in my life too. Hand on heart no other public figure has ever reached me in that way before. It's like he loans us a bit of the strength he had to have had to get through the things life has thrown at him. It's truly a beautiful thing.
he restored hope in us. rekindled unity. showed us that it's not us, it's the world that's sick. when I was in my twenties we would have given up a limb before admitting we were having any sort of mental health issues. if someone asked if you had them it would be answered with a scoff and YOUre trippin'. Ren puts out a powerful healing vibe. it is one that we receive so we'll too. I love how RENegades are so supportive of one another too. Ren is a world treasure. lots of love to all the RENegades! and to future RENegades, so they feel it and find their way to Ren! ❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️
i was looking for a song to just fill my head standing on a train platform. i didnt plan on leaving that area ever again. i clicked on hi ren. never heard of ren before. i sat down and cried like a baby instead of jumping. i got up and walked home and got my shit together. i fully believed that song actually changed my life. it saved me. it saved my family even though they will never know it. i saw a light and in it was rens hand. i swear i felt him holding my hand as i walked home. it was light in a VERY SOLID dark place.
A year ago, Ren did an interview and was asked how he manages to be so hopeful and uplifting and such a great guy given all of his health struggles and mental battles that he deals with. Ren answered that he isn't actually that great guy all of the time. He has just gotten really good at knowing when to share himself and when not to. This is just a glimpse of what Ren deals with behind closed doors.
I’m definitely not artistically inclined but I know without that other side of me I wouldn’t really be me, and to sit within it and be okay with it definitely opens a whole new world to me, even if I don’t quite know how to express it hahah!😂
I am a chef. And pain can fuel amazing dishes and concepts. Spices like habanero, Szechuan peppercorns, mustard, horseradish, all have strong, almost violent flavors to the palette. But balanced with sweet and other flavors, they can evoke a myriad of emotions, creating a deeper culinary experience.
This isn't the first time he's done this. There's an interview with Kujo from 2 years back about a similar situation on a smaller scale. I also read from someone I consider a reputable source that he has changed his name once before because of a deal gone bad, but to be 100% clear, at this time, that's just hearsay. But after seeing everything I've seen and from reading Kujo's many comments (some of which are still up, some of which he has edited, some of which he has removed), and after seeing the interview with him from 2 years ago, I have a feeling this is a pattern with him, and this time, he bit off more than he could chew.
You’re one of the very few reactors that didn’t say they were wishing for part 2. It disappoints me that people would wish for a continuation of the situation just for the thrill of seeing another video, without any regard for the obvious toll it has taken on Ren. You seem like a decent guy and have more insight than many
I really love how in-tune you are with the multiple layers of symbolism - my wife was a psychotherapist also and opened my world to the skies-the-limit depth of multi-layered symbolism and it enriches everything with so much significance! Ren speaks across all layers and it's a treat for those who know how to see it
Fantastic reaction! :) The only thing I'd add is that I feel like the choir dying is because Ren feels like Kujo 'stabbed them in the back' because he stole their work. The screen flashes with them 'fallen' just as Ren says 'Legally'... I think that's the dig there. And I have a sneaky feeling that the choir will rise again LEGALLY in Ren's remake of Sick Boi. It feels like something he would do, to make things right with them, pay them, showcase them, but cut out all trace of Kujo's work. At least, this is what I hope with all my heart will happen, because the choir voices on that track are really iconic now, it would be very weird to have a Sick Boi song without them. :)
I think I read somewhere that Ren has hinted at re-releasing Sick Boi with them. I believe I read that it will be coming out in October. I've gone through so many videos and comments in the last day and my memory sucks. I really hope so though. Showcasing them and giving them their moment is definitely something Ren would do. He's a really good dude.
Thank you for your reaction. I've watched LOTS of reactions to "Hi Ren" so I could be mistaken, but I believe you are one of the therapists who pointed out that our "dark" sides serve a purpose in our lives. The context then was more how our darker side protects us by tempering unbridled exuberance in order to avoid missteps. In this case, I get the feeling that even as the "dark" side of Ren goes to battle, Ren's gentler nature is serving to protect him from going too far. That isn't explicitly shown in the video (after all, this isn't "Hi Ren #2"), but there is really no violence shown in the video - Ren is essentially telling & showing us how this situation made him feel.
Wow. I have listened to this song multiple times and watched multiple reactors and didn’t think I could learn anything new. The way you broke it down from a mental health viewpoint was incredible. I feel like I’m watching it and understanding it for the first time. That was amazing. Thank you so much for opening my mind . I have subscribed ❤
What a thoughtful, thorough analysis! I really enjoyed that. I liked what you said about the way Ren talked to Kujo's girlfriend being symbolic of how Ren felt about Kujo attacking his love (music). That was so insightful. Thank you for your support of Ren.
Jim did you notice at the end the last thing Ren did to Kujo was the pat on his head, but it’s actually deeper than just a double pat on the head - it was a symbolic double tap to the back of his head. An execution as they say. Ren is a master of putting so much into his art. Not only the lyrics, the music but also his videos are filled with deep, thought provoking meanings. He is so gifted. Great reaction.
Thank you for reacting to this and for supporting Ren! This song has just become my favorite Ren track and before today I couldn't pick one if you put a gun to my head before this song!!!! I'm hoping that he's selling this single and it counts towards the charts! A number one would be the icing on the cake!!!! 💥💥💥💙💙💙🔥🔥🔥 PS - Kujo has listed that he has songwriter credits on Sick Boi on Beat Stars!! Knox Hill posted the receipts showing this lie on his reaction to this song/video!!
21:04 I think it represents kujo stealing the choir sample. Ren's sense of justice is so strong he's even gone to bat to represent and defend what Kujo did to them. He times it with the word 'legally'. What Kujo did to the choir wasn't legal
I love love love listening to you break down Ren's music. He is so cerebral and it's so fun to watch you catch things that I didn't even catch and explaining things. Like the heart beat bringing life into his dark side and the portrayal of him walking into the dark as like him really giving in to the darkness and then dragging things out into the light for all to see. *chef's kiss* keep up the amazing work!
You have given one of the best reactions and views of this song. You also noticed details no one else has noticed, and the song has even more depth. Thank you :) I am an IP paralegal and this whole situation pisses me off on different levels. Ren had always been very vocal and conscious of giving proper credit, and for asshole to disregard other artists proper ownership is pure greed, ego and it has ended his reputation and career.
My favourite reaction, along with Dotta, so far. When Ren said he can fight his own battles... we stepped back, but wow, he really can fight for himself!!! 🔥🙏❤️
@jolieakea1640 watch Kingdom Come by Dotta, dissin Ren, then Ren King Dumb Come back. But in Kujo Beat Down he says with Dotta it's Zen, he's a friend... then Dotta reacted to Kujo Beat Down and loved it - hahahaha
Wow! I’ve already watched 5x and I never caught Ren in the chair!!! What an amazing catch. You’ve dug up so much that I believe Ren intended to be there. But it’s so layered. What I took from you right away was when you mentioned the heartbeat, that I had heard before, but didn’t give much thought to, and you said it brought something to life! This insight was so true and significant. I did have a thought about the choir, representing the Bulgarian chior who was also killed or taken down by Kuji. Hence when they were dead around him. Also in some of Rens words then, he mentioned “we” also being killed. It reminded me of something he said in his explanation video about it being taken from his audience and from the public and from the future listeners as well., whom sic Boi has helped and would continue to do. So those people could also be us! I also love your beautiful comparisons of Rens “soulmate” as music/art. It really brought to life why rims dark side needed to come out. Thanks again for this. it’s truly special to hear your insight.
Love the interpretation of the heartbeat being that the dark side has been given life. So many reactions and this is the first I heard it put that way.
I always look forward to your ren reactions! I love how this is a mixture of hi ren, sick boi and money game 3. It all comes together so seamlessly. Plus he is an absolute beast with the lyrics 😂💜
REN’s Righteous Rage is something to behold, thanks for your reaction and support ❤ nice insights: He’s been knocked down, he’s down in the dirt and he’s not afraid to be down there…and he knows what to do: get up and fight. Yes!
I watched the premiere yesterday and have watched dozens of reactions since and i think your reaction has been the most in depth and spot on one that I've seen. Thank you.
Hey Jim, I just want to say I get so incredibly excited to watch your reactions to ren, so many people don’t get it and you see ren for who he is, thankyou I appreciate everything you do! Definitely following
I work in psychiatry and your analysis is so insightful into RENs emotional state. I hope this gives him peace and he can move on as he says he wants . Somehow I don’t think Kujo will. He shows some psychopaths traits IMHO.
Great reaction. You have a really calm demeanor when dealing with heavy subjects that it makes it soothing to hear them coming from you. You're awesome!!!
One of the best breakdown reactions so far imo and I've watched over 40 since it dropped. I've subbed today, I don't know why the algo hasn't led me to you before. I've been following Ren for over 2 years. Anyway again, Great reaction ❤from D in the UK 🇬🇧
One of the thing ive learned from ren right from th very beginning is that he absolutely love to lift others up, to help others, especially when it comes to music...i can't count how many other new musicians i was introduced to because of him
I rarely leave comments, but really loved this Ren review. I appreciate that you can explain the emotional landscape for a person new to rap, and to Ren specifically.
After dozens and dozens of reactions: Eureka! This is by far the best one I've seen. Thanks a million! From La Habana, Cuba, a place where you can go to jail for the slightest cathartic moment, my best wishes, and hopes that your channel continues to grow.
I've watched a few reactions and so far yours is the most insightful. I'm in awe of your reaction. I hope Ren will see this. I subscribed today and I hope others will too. Thank you for supporting Ren!
Love the fact that he has such a strong bond with his friends that when he asked the guy who plays "Kujo" to shave his head, he said ok if it's for a music video, and the fact that most of the extras in his music videos are friends or friends of friends.
Ren brought me here and you kept me here. I love your analysis of his art. I'm currently in my MS in Psych program and love that you have brought your clinical expertise to the wondrous world of music. I highly recommend reacting to Crutch by Ren. He's younger and it really paints a picture of his vulnerability during his early years of his medical journey.
I heard the multiple voices in "free me" as the Renegades backing him up, being bound when he is, fighting with him to be free. Love the reaction - LOVE LOVE LOVE this song/art/beatdown.
You always bring some new insights and angles with your reactions. Loved how you caught that moment where Ren was tied up in the chair. So much happens so quickly in this one!
That’s so sick having the Sick Boi album on the wall with the rest of the greats! First time here. But I’m so glad I found this! Much love and respect!🖤
Always love to listen to you break down a video. I watched several reactions yesterday - lost count to be honest - but i was antsy to see yours. You always bring fresh insight and your way of explaining things is so down to earth and easy to understand. Ren's video is an amazing example of how to vent rage productively and so beautifully layered. There are many lines I will think about today and in the future' both his and yours. Got a good belly laugh when you had your mini geek out about Karl Jung; man I don't have your creds but I would pay to see that.!
Great reaction as always, love hearing different peoples views and opinions about not only this track but music in general, as we all pick up on different things (thats what makes us human after all)
“Demons run when a good man goes to war, night will fall and drown the sun when a good man goes to war, friendship dies and true love lies, night will fall and the dark will rise when a good man goes to war, demons run but count the cost, the battle's won but the child is lost”
Yes yes yes your the first reactor I’ve seen to catch the money game 3 reference. Subbed for that alone. Really like your insight into this and the tales trilogy. Thank you🙏
And not to mention, he found out the issue while he was completing a session with the SCT in Canada so adding that along with the mental, emotional, and psychological stress.
.... Before Ren, the only Cujo I'd heard of was a Rabid Dog... You should always be careful what you wish on your self.... And I love the way the choir sings "Don't F+?K with Ren"... Genius. Up the RENegades... 💜🐇🤗
You dont often get your say when dealing with these people, when you talk they just dont listen. This song has allowed me to purge the negativity thats built in me since childhood due to those types of people...cathartic 💜
I feel Ren's despair, loss!!! I deeply respect this dear brother!!!! He has absolutely helped me more than I can say with words!!! Ren has brought so much healing to me & many!!!! 🫶🥰💖🎵🎶🌹🔮🫂☮️💜
I feel that the extra voices you hear during the Fear Me, See Me part. is both sides of Ren plus the voices of the people that Ren feels were also hurt from all of this, those who found hope and comfort from "Sick Boi'
Thanks Jim! Really enjoyed your giddiness at analyzing this continuing education with Ren!❤ I think I enjoyed your reactionalisys more than the last 40 videos I've watched. Great messaging too. Thanks again!
There is so much symbolism throughout Ren's music and videos, I loved the Red tape on their mouth, as in Red tape - as in they are now caught up in lawful dealings, is what I see. Love your perspectives on Ren's soulmate. He is a gifted and blessed you man with regards to telling stories.. Found your channel tonight, subscribed immediately.
What an amazing reaction. Apparently I had missed quite a few things that I now notice and understand thanks to you. I love everything that Ren has done so far, but this one had to grow on me first, which it really did after listening to your take on it. Thank you!
I have watched several reactions to Kujo Beatdown, I love how they are all different, some focusing more on beats and music, some on words and rhythm and yours also looking at the psychological aspect of the meaning, love this, thank you
I've watched so many Ren reactions. Thank you. You said something that lifted me. I'm in the darkest place of my life right now. Dark thoughts. Very dark. Thanks for making me feel like there is hope.
I’ve watched a fair few reactions to this clip now… and this is the best one I’ve seen so far. (Lots of the others have been great, but I feel this one really picked up and pulled out a load of things).
You're impressively spot on in this from the start, but my like-button impulse was hit by the Jungian brainmelt comment. Gave me a laugh on a strange day - thank you!
Thank you for such a great, in depth reaction to his video "Kujo Beatdown" In the song 'Hi Ren', he says in life there are victims and there are students. I certainly hope his students learn in person that within the light, there is always the dark, and both need the other. He is a genius who, i would guess, does a lot of the reading required to understand the humanities enough to let us understand the sheer devestation this has caused him. I am so grateful I was a reaction to his "Hi Ren" video.
Ren is the walking inbodìment of" Never mistake my kindness for weakness "
%100❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
🔥🔥🔥
Also f*** around and find out 😂
I love that at the start, his anger was still asking for permission from his softer side to let rip.
Yeah he was ridiculing himself for being too nice, but that angry, vengeful version of Ren waited for his kindness to let go of hope that things could be resolved amicably before going after Kujo wuth aggression.
Good comments
Yeah, really good. And thats the message from Jung to, right? The pshycoterapist the Guy in this vide is refferencing. Most people repress their shadows, but ren is not doing that here, he has taken control and manage to use it for greater purposes.
@@84Joooli I'm sorry I have no idea who Jung is, I will certainly look them up as it sounds interesting :)
Such an insightful comment. I knew what was happening but didn't really catch the significance of the angry side waiting for permission from the softer side. Thank you.
@@jennyralgrievous6192 ua-cam.com/video/zHx9i3sQD8Y/v-deo.html just a tip of the iceberg :) about Carl Jung

We all are feeling protective of Ren. We're his brothers and sisters and mothers and fathers. Don't mess with Ren!
"Ren's soulmates' name is music. Her name is art." Love this ❤
A year ago, Ren did an interview and was asked how he manages to be so hopeful and uplifting and such a great guy given all of his health struggles and mental battles that he deals with. I'm a sculptor and I often wonder how much work I'd make without my dark side - it drives my art and pain can be formative and informative
Agree. Same for my photography. Everybody needs an outlet and having the capacity to turn your pain into art is a godly gift.
Pain is my muse as a painter. The more I hurt, the more emotion goes into my work.
I’m definitely not artistically inclined but I know without that other side of me I wouldn’t really be me, and to sit within it and be okay with it definitely opens a whole new world to me, even if I don’t quite know how to express it hahah!😂

One of the best breakdowns so far. I’ve watched about 20 😂
Not just me then 😂
Not just me then :-)
Dudes, same.
I agree.
Same brother but this one is one of the best ❤
Omg … when you said “just because you win one battle of the mind, doesn’t mean that you’re done!”
So incredibly powerful and true. 🌻💛🙏🏽
Kujo is so much less of a man that I can picture him changing his name and continuing to steal and cheat people...
This isn't the first time he's done this. There's an interview with Kujo from 2 years back about a similar situation on a smaller scale. Kujo was the rabid dog in a Stephen King novel.

Ren needed to get this out.
What a piece of performance therapy!!! 100% justified. I hope he found it cathartic.

Love the interpretation of the heartbeat being that the dark side has been given life. So many reactions and this is the first I heard it put that way.

We must remember, "We are Human." Kujo brought this on himself by blackmailing Ren.
Blackmail AND extortion. Then there's libel and threats of violence... Amongst a multitude of other stuff.
Absolutely!!!!!🙏🥰🫶💖
Hey Jim, I just want to say I get so incredibly excited to watch your reactions to ren, so many people don’t get it and you see ren for who he is, thankyou I appreciate everything you do! Definitely following
Glad you enjoy it!
I work in psychiatry and your analysis is so insightful into RENs emotional state. I hope this gives him peace and he can move on as he says he wants . Somehow I don’t think Kujo will. He shows some psychopaths traits IMHO.
"Greed is not something you can have a pleasant conversation with" 💯
❤ Agreed you have thee best reaction to this video. I really hope Ren can see your reaction someday.
Thanks for the sub!
Your reaction's so good and adds so much to it, aswell as covering this song so fast!! I was hoping you would cover this and you did!
Thank you so much!!
One of the thing ive learned from ren right from th very beginning is that he absolutely love to lift others up, to help others, especially when it comes to music...i can't count how many other new musicians i was introduced to because of him
File under "Catharsis"
I rarely leave comments, but really loved this Ren review. I appreciate that you can explain the emotional landscape for a person new to rap, and to Ren specifically.
After dozens and dozens of reactions: Eureka! This is by far the best one I've seen. Thanks a million!
From La Habana, Cuba, a place where you can go to jail for the slightest cathartic moment, my best wishes, and hopes that your channel continues to grow.
Thanks for your kind words!
I've watched a few reactions and so far yours is the most insightful. I'm in awe of your reaction. I hope Ren will see this. I subscribed today and I hope others will too. Thank you for supporting Ren!
Wow, thank you!
You brought some new insight with this reaction! Great job, thank you!
This guy explains layers and layers of symbolism that Ren uses to emphasize points. 👍
I would give everything to see Jung’s reaction to this video 😂😂❤❤
Wow amazing explanatory reaction
Thank you!
Glad you liked it!
Outstanding reaction
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
BRILLIANTLY BRUTAL‼️
💥🥊
Love this reaction and how you break it down from a psychological point of view.
I wish Ren looks at your reaction cause it was incredibly insightful.
The best analyze.
Tou got all the small details spot on.
Seen from my viewpoint 🙏🏻
Thank you for supporting Ren. This song is 🔥
I heard the multiple voices in "free me" as the Renegades backing him up, being bound when he is, fighting with him to be free.
Love the reaction - LOVE LOVE LOVE this song/art/beatdown.
Wow what a reaction ✨ Man you are amazing, I loved your analysis. Just subscribed
Welcome aboard!
Your reaction video is the best one I've seen. Top notch insight, fabulous.
Appreciate that!
Great reaction, as always! Love your support for our Boi 🔥❤️
You always bring some new insights and angles with your reactions. Loved how you caught that moment where Ren was tied up in the chair. So much happens so quickly in this one!
I'm barely halfway through this video...what a breakdown. You're points are so articulate and spot on
That’s so sick having the Sick Boi album on the wall with the rest of the greats! First time here. But I’m so glad I found this! Much love and respect!🖤
The battlefield of the mind love that comment. This is a fab reaction directing thr song and all it's parts love love love it
As your reaction was starting, I took a look at your Ren playlist and you have watched the perfect tracks to understand the references in this song!!
Renegade here...just subscribed! Love your reactions!!
I’m nearing 30 Beat Down reactions, yours is outstanding for your insights. I already subscribed way back with Hi Ren!
Great reaction as always, love hearing different peoples views and opinions about not only this track but music in general, as we all pick up on different things (thats what makes us human after all)
My favorite reactions! Proud to be part of the 5%.
You really are so insightful. I make my wife watch your channel for a couple’s therapy session 😂
😂😂😂
That’s awesome! 🙌
Great Reaction! Loved your Commentary on this Video.
Glad you enjoyed
Sick boi is back! Nice guys do win.
I watched lots of Kujo beatdown reaction videos & your explanations were some of the best descriptions of this beatdown ,, thanks
I appreciate that!
I love your your channel and your insights on Ren especially, and here you take it to the next level. Brilliant. Thank you.
I feel that the extra voices you hear during the Fear Me, See Me part. is both sides of Ren plus the voices of the people that Ren feels were also hurt from all of this, those who found hope and comfort from "Sick Boi'
Love your in-depth look at this. Very fascinating as a psych student.
Thanks Jim! Really enjoyed your giddiness at analyzing this continuing education with Ren!❤
I think I enjoyed your reactionalisys more than the last 40 videos I've watched. Great messaging too. Thanks again!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Brilliant reaction thank you music heals!
Halfway through and so far, hands down the best break down ive heard.
Brilliant.
What an amazing reaction. Apparently I had missed quite a few things that I now notice and understand thanks to you.
I love everything that Ren has done so far, but this one had to grow on me first, which it really did after listening to your take on it. Thank you!
Subbed, thank you for this reaction. Also, thank you for the positive messages that you spread. Ren killed it in this one. 🖤🤍✨️
I have watched several reactions to Kujo Beatdown, I love how they are all different, some focusing more on beats and music, some on words and rhythm and yours also looking at the psychological aspect of the meaning, love this, thank you
Best reaction I’ve seen. Loved your analysis.
Glad you enjoyed!
I've watched so many Ren reactions. Thank you. You said something that lifted me. I'm in the darkest place of my life right now. Dark thoughts. Very dark. Thanks for making me feel like there is hope.
You got this!
Ren just bringing his amazing theatrics alongside his outstanding music. He’s just awesome!
I’ve watched a fair few reactions to this clip now… and this is the best one I’ve seen so far. (Lots of the others have been great, but I feel this one really picked up and pulled out a load of things).
Wow, thank you!🙏
You're impressively spot on in this from the start, but my like-button impulse was hit by the Jungian brainmelt comment.
Hopefully you can get all the views thanks for all the hard work you’re doing to share with us. Thank you
