UA-cam is owned by Google and they’re trying to control the narrative. So when someone goes there and literally films their reality NOT what the media shows us, it’s a threat! The Harris campaign is trying to pull the wool over our eyes with the help of the media and social media. Never believe what you see on mainstream (legacy) media. They lie!!

Not only Poland, but also Austria, Holy Roman Empire of the German Nations, Saxony, and Bavaria along with a total of 8 kingdoms, were able to stop the Ottomans. As a result, the Ottomans lost territory for the first time in their history with the Treaty of Karlowitz. There is no connection between the 2nd Siege of Vienna and the separation of Greece from the Ottoman Empire. Before telling a false story, I recommend you investigate better, saying that Haiti helped the Dominicans to be free by uniting with them is like saying that the Ottomans helped the Greeks to be free by uniting with them, since before the French took over the western part of the island, since the 1600s the inhabitants of the eastern part of the island were known as Dominicans, when the Dominicans declared their independence from Spain immediately the Haitians invaded and committed many atrocities, forced labor, prohibition of Spanish and Christianity, many massacres among other things, after 22 years of occupation the Dominicans became independent from Haiti, and they continued trying to invade them but failing, the Dominicas are not racist, it is the historical resentment against the Haitians as well as the Greeks against the Turks, they in Dominican have free health and education, but it comes from the taxes of the Dominicans, but they tell their version of the story for convenience, it is like saying that the Ottomans came against the Greeks to free them, investigate more please

No, Haiti did not help the Dominican Republic obtain its independence. In fact, after the Dominican Republic declared its independence from Spain in 1821 (referred to as the short-lived *Ephemeral Independence*), Haiti, under the leadership of Jean-Pierre Boyer, invaded and occupied the eastern part of the island (today's Dominican Republic) from 1822 to 1844.
During this period, the Haitian government imposed its control over the Dominican population, which led to tensions due to differences in language, culture, and policies such as land redistribution. This occupation lasted for 22 years and ended with the Dominican War of Independence in 1844, which was led by Juan Pablo Duarte and the Trinitarios, a group that fought to free the Dominican Republic from Haitian rule.
Therefore, instead of helping, Haiti's occupation became one of the main reasons Dominicans sought their independence in 1844.

Haiti has more millionaires per capita than most other countries in the Caribbean or Latin America. Something like 10,000 millionaires with a population of 11 million. You say half a billion was donated to Haiti after the earthquake but never invested in infrastructure. That money went to the millionaires and the elite oligarchy, which is corrupt. Haiti may have been exploited by other countries but be realistic -- the enemy also comes from within.

Haiti's first invasion was bad but it was under the belief of freeing the slaves in DR. They would meet with DR officials to unite the island and create a giant free society. Alot of people I see try to focus on the fact that Haiti initially invaded the DR which I understand. But the ideology behind it was similar to the North of the U.S. wanting to invade the south, to end slavery. As the first Haitian occupation slavery and other racially driven policies would be reinstated in the DR.

Haïti's problems are a complex mixture of causes, some of which are extraneous, no doubt; but the core of the problems in Haïti is socio-cultural. The culture has to change otherwise this nation will remain stuck in its state of permanent neurosis forever.

I find it ironic that so many criticize the Dominican Republic for enforcing its border laws, yet no other country in the world does as much for the Haitian people. Instead of pointing fingers, the world should stop talking and start doing more to help Haiti.
    Another thing -
If the Dominican Republic heeds the calls for unifying with Haiti, the entire island could resemble Haiti’s current state within a decade. What then?

    • @youtube6817

Why should DR be forced to unify with Haiti?! That’s like asking any country in the world that shares a border to just “unify”. It’s an absurd thing to say when the overall language / religion /culture / ethnicity isn’t even the same.

Unify? Are you kidding me. It’s two different countries in every way. It’s like saying let’s unify Mexico and the USA. I hate when people say because we share the same island. We are the same people. Which is bullshit. Haiti was colonized by French 200 yrs later. DR was there 1st. Btw there numerous countries that share the same boarders are they the same people?

Great video Timmy, you are very brave to go to Haiti during such dangerous times. One thing I wish you did though: in another video, you asked BBQ "who are you?". Of course, he would never say he's a bad person, but I wish you had asked the regular people you've met, like the guys at the refugee camp: "who is BBQ, what do you know about him?". You would have got a whole different answer.

You are the only person covering what is happening on the ground in Haiti. I’m glad you made it out there safely. I never understood why the French didn’t take in massive amounts of Haitians as opposed to Muslims from the Middle East. The Haitians were put into perpetual poverty due to them paying France reparations. Why don’t they go to France? They know the language and certainly meet French standards of what an asylum seeker is. Jeremy was the perfect person to represent the country and guide you through the all of the challenges that the people face. You have the right guys money. They were all well spoken and sober young men who just want an opportunity.

    • @sierrafirerider

The French don’t care. The answer is they really don’t give a damn because Haiti actually managed to bark back against them. So they weasel all the money they can out of them and when Haiti is trying to ask for help, whoops, all of a sudden France can’t hear or see them.
