I love her facial expressions and the way she moves when she knows she sounds great and is feeling her oats. In her backstage videos too. I hope to hear her live soon.
She is just magnicifent! What a beautiful voice! I can't wait, now that her voice is getting bigger, to see her in operas like Il Trovatore, Don Carlos, Otello and Manon Lescaut. I think that most of what Caballé or Freni sang, she will be able to sing in the future. Best wishes for her always!
Her voice is loud but not big. She lacks the ping in the G-C range necessarily to sing much of what Caballe sang. I adore her voice but I don't agree with that comparison. I've seen her 3 times in Lucia and once in L'elisir d'amore. Soon I'm also seeing her in La rondine.
@@KajiVocals Since she lacks the Ping, does she also lack the Pang and the Pong? If Netrebko can do it, she can too. And don't tell me Netrebsko's voice is bigger than her voice or that she has better projection or more squillo than Nadine. Freni did all of those roles as well and she wasn't even a spinto, she was a lyric soprano like Nadine. Nadine is a lyric soprano with a big sound and easy high notes, not a coloratura or a light lyric, and especially not a soubrette or a Mozartian or an only bel canto singer.
@@lmf5299 Why mention Netrebko if she literally can NOT sing this rep or any anymore properly? Nadine is a very light voice with a high tessitura, her lowering her larynx a lot and raising the soft palate does not make her a large lyric soprano. And not sure what your comment regarding bel canto implies as bel canto singers are of all sizes. And Sierra does not and has never sung bel canto rep.
Nadine Sierra’s is one of this generation’s finest young sopranos and seems to light up the stage whenever she is singing. Sierra’s coloratura is effortless and her voice has a lovely fluidity. Opera Magazine Readers’ 2023 Award was presented to American soprano Nadine Sierra, in the only award of the evening voted for by the public. American soprano @nadine.sierra becomes the new ambassador of the brand for the Opera and classical music industry. In some respects, Nadine Sierra “journey” is the triumph of a deep monogamous love over wandering carnality. Vocally, Nadine delivered a blend of impeccable technique with emotion and feeling. Her trills were a delight, her top notes smooth and easy, and her legato milky. She easily soared over the orchestra, even at the busiest moments, and there was a vocal confidence there palpable in her delivery.
She makes everything sound easy and this music is not easy. She is the one of the greatest.

My wife and I have tickets for this Saturday’s matinee. It’s my favorite opera. I’m so excited.

@KajiVocals Really? And what kind of rep is Lucia di Lamermoor? Ugly Canto? Cattivo Canto? Come on, don't say silly things.
Gorgeous. Good on Sierra for having such a solid technique and taking her training so seriously. The same sadly can't be said for many others.
She is singing the song like just talking myself. And the song is not even a regular song to sing easily. She is the best.❤
Amazing! The extra trills she adds are interesting
So beautiful!

She is simple great!!!
Congrats! Very interesting vocalizations in the high register starting straight in the soft palate.
Her voice❤ her beauty ❤
She is incredible. Thought she was amazing from the first time I saw her like 10 years back… and still do
Sveet, young and with nice voice and good acting. Nice.
Excepcional🎉!!
Lovely
She is a mere wonder !
Nadine is a dream
qué es eso?
Gorgeous singing; ridiculous blocking.
너무 무거워요!
Hate the production and period, which robs the plot of it’s real theme, and she has a glorious voice, but…..
XVI century Mantua? Oy vey.
Ha! Ha! Yes! Well, at least it's not the American midwest 80s scenario that they used for "Lucia."
