Absolutely incredible. First time I watched it I thought "it's impossible", but thank you for making me not give up, but instead try harder and harder! I am still not playing this well, but I try!
My dear dudes, it is with great pleasure to me to inform you that i can now officially play the first part of this monstrosity. (it took me like two weeks for the first ten seconds or so lol)
The best shredders in the world all have a shared technique. That right hand. Malmsteen, Michael Batio and that group have the most efficient right hand motion and no wasted energy or movement. Tight control of the pick. Amazing skills
Terrific! I remember seeing this as a kid and being TOTALLY blown away. Same effect 15 years after! That solo section...that tone and insane vibrato. Just wow
24 years ago I started listening to Yngwie just because I lived in Stockholm back then, man the guy changed my perspective of guitar playing and took it to higher level, absolutely a legend, thanks for all the music and the guitar solos.
I started learning guitar 3 years ago, then I started to appreciate more of what Yngwie does I love arpeggios, it's knowing the different modes and octaves, this is a masterclass on applying it musically, brilliant
Amazing note selection from the maestro. Both performances of arpeggios from hell and far beyond the sun are incredible. This man inspired my to pickup the electric guitar even though I was a classical guitarist
Yngwie Malmsteen one of best and original, guitarist ever, so proud that he is from Sweden! If you read this, please visit Stockholm more often. The kids here dont know who you are and you are one of the most original musicians ever! Deserv it man!
Just insanely perfect! Just ripping through those arpeggios. Yngvie is the man!!!! I love his style! Such a cool dude with personality and talent. He is an obvious savant, musical genius, guitar wizard, teacher, artist and architect of music, what ever you want to call him.
Yngwie es sin discusión...... el Paganini del metal, simplemente inmortal, divino!! *Gracias por existir y poder disfrutarte desde 1984.......saludos!!
Been a fan since I found a cassette of yours in a case along the back roads of PA while riding my bicycle~ A fan ever since!! you totally rock...used to run and exercise to your music and make up words to the instrumentals ~ true story.....Loving this Piece....KAT in Florida
I dont get the people who say this would inspire people to quit the quitar. This should inspire people the play, all it takes its time, effort and dedication as with all activities in life. Edit: thats like saying," oh well Einstein's questions are to difficult so im just not going to do chemistry or physics." Maybe a bad example but you get the point im making.
Just googled "Stradivarius" for a job project and it eventually brought me here. I lived in Sweden in the 90s and of course, knew of him but never heard/saw him play. This was even more phenomenal than I'd imagined. Holy hell, he made it look effortless. Bravo, Yngwie! Helt fantastisk!!
Still to this day, the guitar playing looks so natural and effortless in his hands and the way he plays. As good as other players are, their playing looks like they have trained themselves to do it. For Yngwie it looks like he was born with the guitar in his hand.
It just doesn’t get more badass than this. I know a lot of the haters out there call Yngwie repetative but that’s only because he’s so good at what he does that he makes it “look” easy! This man is probably the best guitar player who ever lived. Because of his amazing musical knowledge, there’s not a note or mode he can’t play.
I used to wonder if he shedded with a metronome, or just used the old internal clock to get that insane technique. Love him or not, there's no denying his stunning talent.
I have seen other good guitarists play this and they see that they get tired ... instead Yngwie Malmsteen plays so calm and without problems.... amazing 👏👏👏🤘🤘🤘
Awesome!!!!!!!!! Yngwie malmsteen you are my idol ur music everyday gives me strength and visions to continue in life....you are a god of music and creativity
Yngwie Malmsteen is so amazing! Saw him live in 2019 at Arcadia theatre...Incredible! Cant wait for him to come back...caught a pick from him there too! This cat is the guitar GOD.
His right hand moves so smooth and effortlessly the efficiency is unreal
He uses a combo of alternate picking, directional picking/sweeping, and legato. Superb motion mechanics.
I remember watching this as a 16 year old saying "yeaaaa...I'm just going to be a drummer". Over a decade later and I am still a drummer 😂🤣
The thing I like about Yngwie and the entire neoclassical thing is that you are able to listen to both classical and metal together in a single piece.
10 seconds into the song and you can already tell why he's a legend.
Been your biggest fan for years but the more I listen, the more I can't get enough. Totally addicted!
Yngwie has influenced more people to quit guitar rather than play
Yngwie's picking hand is so efficient god damn, it looks like he's barely moving it
Rumor is the Devil sold his soul to Yngwie to learn his secret.
These are facts I believe
Brilliant comment Sir. You are my hero
Absolutely incredible. First time I watched it I thought "it's impossible", but thank you for making me not give up, but instead try harder and harder! I am still not playing this well, but I try!
absolutely fantastic, this footage blew my mind 15 years back and it still does so today. I guess you made it official with Molto Arpeggiosa later.
Dude is honestly still so damn good. It may not be your cup o tea, but to say he does not play with feeling or expression is just silliness.
My dear dudes,
it is with great pleasure to me to inform you that i can now officially play the first part of this monstrosity.
(it took me like two weeks for the first ten seconds or so lol)
for all the arpeggio flash, the thing I like most about Yngwie is that big showy vibrato. Love it
The best shredders in the world all have a shared technique. That right hand. Malmsteen, Michael Batio and that group have the most efficient right hand motion and no wasted energy or movement. Tight control of the pick. Amazing skills
Barely looks like it’s even moving and looks to be a really light touch?
Such a smooth, refined, relaxed technique.
Terrific! I remember seeing this as a kid and being TOTALLY blown away.
Same effect 15 years after! That solo section...that tone and insane vibrato. Just wow

In an ocean full of shredders, Yngwie is and always will be the BIG FISH!
When i listen to this, my brain enter a new state of musicness, thank you for the good quality.
Yngwie, you are truly a gift to humanity.
The playing is just as impressive as the composition.
the fact that he does it on a basic fender strat is crazy. no locking nut, no floyd rose, no nothing
BROOO THIS IS INSANEEEEE!!! THIS IS WHAT I WANNA HEAR EVERY MORNING!!!!
I started learning guitar 3 years ago, then I started to appreciate more of what Yngwie does I love arpeggios, it's knowing the different modes and octaves, this is a masterclass on applying it musically, brilliant
When Yngwie pushes himself and is really into what he's playing, he's an absolute badass. Awesome as hell👍
It might not be the first thing you notice, but the bass playing in this is actually really great too.
aah i've been lookin for this song forever!! amazingggg!!!
Amazing note selection from the maestro. Both performances of arpeggios from hell and far beyond the sun are incredible. This man inspired my to pickup the electric guitar even though I was a classical guitarist

I first heard Yngwie when I was about 12 years old. It blew my mind then, just as it does now decades later
That's what I am talking about!!!!
YJM is LEGENDARY...
Not a note out of place....
This man's bends don't get enough respect. The guitar is screaming
A modern day Bach! Especially dig the 01:38-01:44, so tragic!
Been loving this recording for over 20 years.
One of the greatest "Shredders" of all time. Absolutely steller technique and note choice
Great play technique, excellent dynamics, divine control of both hands, brains work, God forbid! Thanks for the great music, Yngwie !!! =)))
Phenomenal! I Love the Classical influence! Met Yngwie in Florida years ago- what a cool guy & amazing talent
this man is like "the guitar doesnt have enough notes"
sounds too amazing
He's one of the greatest guitar players and he isn't as famous as he deserves to be!
Good god almighty that is some spectacular playing fast yet clean and concise able to hear it all and not sloppy at all. Bravo😎👍🏻

Man, we love you... we truly do! Hope to see you live again really soon!
" he's too technical, plays too many notes and with no feeling." Translation : I can't nor will I ever be able to do that, therefore I hate.
Great!
I haven't seen this video since UA-cam first came about. Good stuff!
I don't care of your opinion, but, for me, this is the best piece for guittar ever.
A god amongst men. No one can touch this legend!!
Like an Olympic gold medalist, he makes the most difficult shit look so easy!
beautiful tone, perfect bendings and vibratos.
Sweetness. love it
"I love how he uses the J to distinguish himself from all of the other Yngwie Malmsteens". David St. Hubbins
