  • This girl will never learn.
The tragic pop idol Ai Kago became a household name in Japan after joining the girls' group Morning Musume when she was just 12. She became an overnight sensation, and at the age of 13, her annual income was estimated to be over 40 million yen. However, her mother and stepfather had squandered all the money away. When she was 18, she was caught by tabloids smoking while underage, and again when she was 19. She was fired from her agency and was kicked out of the entertainment industry. In 2011, she was hospitalized after an attempted unliving and married a man 21 years older than her, but later divorced him when he physically attacked her. Just as she started to appear on TV again recently, in August 2023, she was caught by tabloids going on a trip to Korea with high-ranking members of the yakuza group Inagawa-kai. Ai claims that they were friends of her friend and that she didn’t know they were yakuza members, but that’s hard to believe cuz the guy has his pinky finger missing. And a Japanese guy with tattoos!?
I understand that she comes from a complicated family, but at some point, you have to stop making the same mistakes, especially when you’re a mother of two.

I can see that she had bad influence from her parents. But I don't think she is a bad person .

i dont think its her fault, shes clearly been through a lot of tramua via the industry and her abusive boyfriends :( maybe she feels more secure with these men, or its her family friends/connections. regardless i wish the best for her and i want her to be happy safe and well!

I have sympathy. To be a child star in the public eye. And MoMoSu was EVERYWHERE. To have all your earnings squandered by the peoole who are supposed to take care of you. I am sure it messes with you. But at some point, one has to be reaponsible for themselves

Liked her in middle school days, crazy she hasn’t learned. I think she really needed a better support system and self reflection

I don't see any mistakes made other than getting caught. Japan is too uptight.
