Thank you so much for this. My husband is a big guy like you, and I was worried about the space in an inside on the Wish- especially the bathroom. I think we’ll pass on the inside cabin. We have sailed inside on the Magic and Wonder with no issues. My TA said this was much smaller, and she’s right. Keep the content coming!

Thank you 🙏🏻 so much for demonstrating this video. My hubby is a larger man 5’10” and 480lbs. I was worrying about him feeling comfortable in the restroom and such. We went with a balcony stateroom on the Fantasy. I am almost tempted to request an accessible cabin to make sure he has more room and wouldn’t have trouble entering the shower and such.
The good news is the Wish has the smallest inside rooms…we enjoyed inside room on the Wonder with split bathroom 👍🏼

I absolutely appreciate this video as a large or "fluffy" person myself!! I tend to shy away from fun vacations due to my size (a work in progress atm) and seeing you willing to film this for all of us just made me feel more at ease at planning something in my future! This was so incredibly needed. I know I would appreciate it so much for you to review all categories of rooms on all ships that you can. Not only the rooms, but I’d love to see how the armed chairs work in different areas of the ships. Those of us who are of size really appreciate this advanced information because it can be embarrassing not to be able to fit into a chair. Thank you for the unique perspective. It’s more than appreciated.
On the Wish, we found that the tables in the dining rooms are extremely close to one another and it was difficult for me to even get to the chairs. In Arendelle, we were fortunate to have a table that had one side open to a walkway. Otherwise, I wouldn't have been able to fit through. 1923 had tables with bench seating on one side and chairs(without arms) on the other. From what I saw, any table that had chairs with arms also had chairs without -- I would not have been able to use the ones with arms.
The Walt Disney Theatre where the live shows were presented had the worst seating I've ever experienced on a Disney Ship. I had to twist at a weird angle to even get my hips between the arms of the super narrow seats and even then it dug into my sides the entire show. The second night, I couldn't replicate my contortionist act and more or less sat on the very front edge of the seat and leaned my torso back through the arms -- again super uncomfortable. We skipped the last night since it was Aladdin and we've seen it on another ship.
I will add that while we didn't actually attend a full screening of a movie in the other theaters, I did pop in to test if those cinema seats were similar and they were wide enough I had no trouble sitting in and they were extremely comfortable. I was very surprised and wish they could have used the same style of seating for the primary stage venue on the ship.
@@evermeet2599 Thank you so much for this! Are any of the other ships friendlier to larger guests? I’m getting the sense that The Wish isn’t where it’s at for us. Or for those in mobility devices. I wish Disney adopted the bench-style seating in the main auditorium as is seen on other cruise lines.
@@readbooks_eattacos For the most part, they are very similar. I was probably about 15 lbs heavier (about 390) when we did the wish a couple weeks ago than I was the last time I was on either the Dream/Fantasy or the Wonder. I remember the Walt Disney theater seats being very tight, but not like the Wish. However, it's possible they are the same and the extra 15 was just too much. Apart from the main theater, the seating on the rest of the ship was fine.
The split bathrooms are cramped and the showers (on the other ships) have curtains -- which can actually work for you because it's not an immovable glass wall. I joked with my wife while we were on the Wish that next time we needed to make sure the toilet was on the right side of the cabin as you entered because I'm right handed and needed more room.
As for the rest of the ship, I used the elevators most of the time vs the stairs and the Wish only has 2 elevator locations (~mid/forward) vs the 3 (forward/mid/aft) locations on the other ships. So we potentially had to walk farther to get to one and then backtrack. My fitness level is low and there were some stretches where there is no place to stop and rest. On the other ships, it didn't feel like there were quite as much distance between potential resting points like one of the lounges or a porthole window seat or something. Of the 4 ships I've been on, the Wish was my least favorite when it comes to flow and layout because of the extra walking to get from place to place.

If you do this again in the future, I would really like to see a comparison of Koda standing in the bathroom. It looks tiny in general, and I'm struggling to picture it fitting anyone at all! I'm not expecting her to repeat everything you do, yet it would be really helpful to see her in smaller rooms like that that the camera can't really show the width/depth of. It's much easier to get a feel for the rest of the room since I can see the length of the couch/bed while you're walking around.

Just got off the Wish this morning and I have a hot tip.
If you're looking for a fat friendly suite it is 8583. When you look at it online, it looks like all the others. BUT when you look at it on the guides by the elevators, you'll see that it has a weird outline. It is located near the crew area (hence the dark areas on maps) so there is an angle at the door. You walk in and there is almost a vestibule feel with a table and lots of storage space away from the bed area.
Lots of room on the side near the bathroom (door faces that side of the bed) and if you leave the door open to do your business you can watch the television mounted on the opposite wall. (I soloed the cruise so I could do it 😂)
My steward told me outside of accessibility inside suites that it is the largest inside stateroom on the ship.

We were just on the Disney Wish. The entryway was so narrow, we had to scoot our stroller in very carefully. My husband is 6'7" so he took up the entryway and he had to duck in the halls.

This is so great! I wish I saw this before going on the Wish. I was in the standard inside as well. I felt the whole cruise was really not very fat friendly and I have never felt like that on vacation before. I definitely left them some notes about getting bigger towels!
This information is really helpful. Thank you for your honesty. I will add that I have always found Disney to be accommodating of my size. The only place I was ever uncomfortable was the seats in the theater on the Dream. I loved the shows yet dreaded sitting in the seat. For reference I was a size 22, 5’5 at approximately 280 lbs.

Awesome video, Adrian!!! It is very important for fluffy folks to get an idea about how large the various staterooms are. Larger bathrooms are helpful. Being able to function in the room is helpful. 🥰🥰🥰
That is small for an inside state room. We had an inside state room last summer on the Magic, and it had separated shower and toilet rooms, which worked out better.
It was also easier to get in and out of the room without any side stepping.
I think even on those ships some of the rooms are single. I can’t remember which category those rooms were in that had the one bathroom, but all five ships have some rooms with one. Not very many of those rooms though.

Hot Tip: Leave your shower curtain open an inch or two. The air will circulate around the end of the curtain instead of blowing it into you.

I couldn't fit in the bathroom door on our Princess cruise :(
The side bar is no different on the Wonder with the 3 soap. body, condition bottles also. Only issue i have is the shower.. #2's were fine.. moving around was fine. Getting used to the lip on the bathroom door and stepping up and in was different. I truely feel just the showers are an issue for us bigger folks. That being said the public washrooms for doing your business are a bit bigger.. same with the showers in the spa.
