Greatest One-Club Players In Football History - Спорт
Totti is one of a kind. United or Milan players didn't have a reason to go anywhere. They were playing for the clubs that were winning big titles almost every year. Totti lifted only one scudetto in 24 years, yet he stayed loyal.
So did Steven Gerrard
And we can't forget he became part of the Roma staff for a little while
@@jiyefuuu Gerrard had a teams much much stronger then Totti has ever had
@@jiyefuuu Gerrard had Champions League
@@jiyefuuu gerrard played for one of fhe strongest teams in England are you delusional
One thing I love about Italians. Their loyalty is unmatched
Well, there's players like Totti, Maldini, Baresi, Bergomi and Mazzola, and then there's players like Baggio, Pirlo, Luca Toni and Gliardino.
Im not sure Hitler would agree!
Donnarunma would like to have a word with you!
Buffon himself too. Many Parma fans hated him for joining Juve and didn't even want him back.
@@calamorta The good largely outweighs the bad
Thomas Müller
should have been here. He's the most decorated German player of all time, he's won the treble twice and gotten to three Champions League finals (he even scored in his first), he's won the World Cup and he's been critical to some of the most insane wins in Football (7 - 1 against Brazil, 8 - 2 against Barca), and he's done all that, plus made over 400 Bundesliga appearances and over 600 for Bayern
He could leave next year. Who knows
@@adilyricist1388 The man is bayern for life and has extanded his contract he is der mansaft heart and soul
He Actually Played For Bayern Munich ll Before Playing for Bayern Munich l
@@atishaykankaria4461 the same can be said about steven gerrard and danielle de rossi.
@@adilyricist1388 true true but the man rejected a move to manchester united and when his mentor was louis van gaal was in charge
There’ll never be another Francesco TOTTI..
Belize central america I'm from and I'm a Real Madrid fan but i agree totally !!
Here in Brazil we have Rogério Ceni and also Marcos, the 2002 world cup goalie, who played for Palmeiras his entire life and refused to join Arsenal and other clubs.
Palmeiras was relegated in 2002, just after the World Cup and he played in the second division.
Bergami was a great player but surely Sandro Mazzola deserves more recognition he was a huge part of Grande Inter who won the European cup in the 60s and placed second for the ballon dor in 1971
Maldini one of the best defenders to step on a pitch
Greatest Defender of all time followed by Puyol Beckenbauer Baresi Cannavaro...
@@erwinsmith7821 puyol? 😂 don't put puyol without putting nesta and scirea
@@theyoungdisciple2925 he is just a barca clown
*The Best
@@erwinsmith7821 only behind beckenbeaur and no one else comes close
They need to add Costacurta to this list too...he was with Maldini all the way...lifted 5 champions League titles and retired at 42 still featuring in the champions League winning campaign in 2007 before retiring.
Costacurta Is not avaiable for this list because he played for Monza in his first year of career.
Giggsy is a symbol of loyalty and reliability, dedication and commitment!
Loyalty gets ya nowhere. Live for rewards.
He's also a symbol of domestic violence. Players with such behaviour shouldn't be celebrated 👎🏽
I thought my sarcasm was oozing through the screen. He's also a wife keeper. Unfortunately not only his.
@@faizfuad8361 Giggs is only loyal to women who wear red
@@faizfuad8361 my reply was a joke on the paddy power ad hahahaha
Defenders are the most loyals!
9:14 Gary Neville thought Scholes would never make it: "he was so small, so slight. he didnt have great energy. he had no strenght. he had asthma".
Gary Neville: "I'm also included in this video right? because I'm also a great 1 club player"
Nonstop Football: "nope"
Messi could have been the best one club player. But Barca's financial situation didn't let him do so..
And then they loaned Griezmann on deadline day with Atletico paying his huge wages
@@Raver-1601 Yes bro and the club is now paying for its worse management. It is no longer a european power house, it has rather become a normal european club..
@@unnamed_vigilante I guess they were right when they say Barcelona traded Suarez, Messi, and Griezmann for Griezmann
@@Raver-1601 Instead of these failed transfers of coutinho and grizzi, they could have made some better transfers. They could've got de light, joao felix or rodri.
Than he should take a pay cut like everyone in the team...
Paul scholes and Gary Neville as well
Love this recognition for players like this. I don't look down on athletes who get transferred or traded, but I respect the ones that stick it out for one place and it's refreshing to see.
I'm glad to see Cesar (Billy McNeill) recognised. There's also Paul McStay who could be mentioned here, stayed at Celtic when his career might have been better suited moving elsewhere in the 90s
Id hardly call Le Tissier a big fish in a small pond. The guy clearly like Totti understood the love and respect of the fans was worth more to him than silverware.

Good list but ultimately flawed for missing romelu lukaku...a model of loyalty and professionalism.. you'll be betraying yourself for forgetting that bro.. where's the loyalty in this UA-cam game
Lmao 🤣
INTEResting comment
Not to mention there are alot of players that got kicked out from their team, like Messi and Casillas. They would have probably retired with their respective teams.
822 games, never subbed. Why does that stat sound so incredible?
Yeah Maldini, Totti and Puyol are legends.
For me Paolo Maldini is the best defender ever, and the biggest on the list.
Yeah, one of the greatest. But between him and Puyol, tough call. I hate Barca with a burning passion, but I can't say one bad word about Puyol. A true legend.
Messi can never be a one club legend now
Messi is the saddest nearly one club story in the sports history, imagine Man U needing to sell Giggs because they couldn't register him
So sad! 😔He shld av been a barca god with his statue standing tall in front of d Nou camp.
He never needed to leave Barca even when they sucked he was earning a disgusting amount of money
@@TomSports._ no they had to let him go even though messi didnt wanna go
Wow this beautiful to see it was the time it had a lot of passion in the game
Giggs stuck with one club but a shame he didn't stick with one wife? :)
That's savage man.😂😂😂😂
Giggs is the Manchester United's legend, but his father wanted him to play for Manchester City. Also the Ryan Giggs' real name is Ryan Wilson, he used his mother's last name and Ryan Wilson became Ryan Giggs. :)
9:00 could have mentioned he was called for the 2002 and 2006 World Cups too, just so people know he was good. Many believe Rogerio Ceni was just a gimmick, nothing more than a GK who scored goals. But he wasn't. At his peak he was a legitimate world class GK and the "low" amount of titles is due to where he played. In Brazil you have 10 or so clubs with 1-3 Libertadores and some other big clubs haven't won more than 3 league titles at all (biggest winners have 10 and ~half of them were won in the 60s, so they won the other half over a period of multiple decades). His 3 league titles and 2 Libertadores are as valuable as, idk, 8 league titles for modern day Juve/Bayern and 3 CL for peak Madrid/Milan, if you consider the context.
Rogério Ceni in the modern day would have probably moved to Europe. Now it's much more common to see Brazilian GKs playing abroad, so I'm glad it wasn't the case. Ceni is a massive legend who was the captain of São Paulo for nearly a thousand games and played in 3 different decades for us.
True
True that it is a real challenge to win Champion in Brazil League. Many same level clubs compete each other: Santos, Flamengo, Corinthians, Vasco da Gama, Palmeras, Fluminense, Gremio, Sao Paulo...
So shock to see J.Zanetti not in this list. The man is considered to be one of the biggest legend in inter milan and serie A as well. If Milan have P.Maldini is the symbol for loyalty in the 90-2000 era then J.Zanetti is the counterpart of inter milan for that role
Lampard, Del piero, Gerrard, Messi, Raul, Hierro should have been the 1 club legend too but many reason stop them from doing that. And Reus will be a special case for 1 club legend as he live in the era that loyalty is most luxurious thing in football world nowaday
Zanetti is truly one of the greats, but he played for a couple of Argentinian clubs before moving to Inter so is ineligible.
I loved Bergomi but J.Zanetti is the ultimate Inter legend. It's either Zanetti or Facchetti
Love how Le Tissier has looked like a 60 year old man his entire life.
What a player though
Italians are loyal
Poor Gary got mentioned multiple times but never got a place in the list
Love this Content
1:10 Robbie Savage in that pick too
Totti will never be forgotten. Today Pelligrini might be able the one who will get number 10 but never totti's skills.
Igor Akinfeev - CSKA Moscow
Lev Yashin - Dinamo Moscow.
he forgot Thomas Muller, he has been in bayern for 21 years
he's not retired yet..so who knows. Look where Messi is today.
There are so many other players who stayed loyal to one club
Del Piero first comes to mind for me
Five generations of Maldini's at Milan. So yeah, completely without equal.
great narration
Shame that Raul couldn’t count because he transferred to Schalke at the end.
Should have included Santiago bernabeau
Like for including Rogério Ceni.
Could've included Pelé as well.
Great video !
Totti...he couldnt move out from his mom ... :)
What about Gianpaolo Bellini at Atalanta? He must be one of only a handful of players who have gone full circle. He started his career in the Youth Sector before moving on to the Primavera side before being promoted to the First Team where he made just uner 400 appearances in Serie A and B and he was made Vice Captain then Captain. Upon retirement he became a coach in the very same youth yanks where he began his career.
You missed Gary Neville and Sepp Meir
Ya Totti is a true great and I love that he was so loyal and yes Maldini was a legend also
Maldini, Costacurta and Baresi home grown Milan legends
Maldini, baresi, Adams and puyol. That's some proper defenders.
Came to the future Mark Noble also retired :(
If the list was longer or for video part 2, there are for sure a lot of other great one club man to mention:
Manolo Sanchis & Miguel Porlan Chendo- Real Madrid
GK Luis Arconada- Real Sociedad
GK Jose Angel Irribar- Athletic Bilbao
Sandro Mazzola & Giacinto Fachetti- Inter
GK Sepp Maier- Bayern Munich
Berti Vogts- Borusia Möhnchengladbach
Gary Neville- Manchester United
Antonio Rattin- Boca Juniors
GK Marcos- Palmeiras
Joao Pinto - Porto
Bulent Korkmaz- Galatasaray
Stelios Manolas- AEK Athens
Ivan Gudelj- Hajduk Split
GK Lev Yashin- Dynamo Moscow
GK Igor Akinfeev- CSKA Moscow
If it weren’t for Barça’s debts, Messi would’ve been on this list in the future
Brilliant
Jose Maria Bakero "The butcher of Bilbao) was also a one club man at Athletic Bilbao
Jürgen Kohler at Dortmand?
javier zanetti is also one if these players
Not really, since he played for 3 clubs and not just 1...
Regerio Ceni is the legend of legends one club men
Carles puyol forever 🔵🔴
Thomas Muller
Hes still active doesn't count
Messi and thierry Henry left the chat room to live in the premier league and the players in this country have been very good at the club and CR7 and pele
How many games did Tony Adams play for Arsenal as didn't say?
504 games
@@sushankpokharel138 surely more
the reason why Puyol got to be a barca player are different from it 's said in this video:
1 Puyol was rejected by Barca as a youth player, because he wasn't that skill full,
2 before a pre season tour the coach ask somebody if there is a spare plauyer as they are missing one player, that person told him there is this kid, which happens to be Puyol who was supposed to be realised fom Barca and this is way before Guardiola
Well, Gary Neville should be included too
Maldini was Milan, Gerrard was Liverpool, Totti was Roma, Giggs was United, Adams was Arsenal.
nice
Paul Scholes
A little suprised that Trevor Brooking didn't get a mention
No Del Piero?! Really???!!!!! He even went to second division with Juventus
Del piero didn't finish his career in Juventus, it is some Indian club.
@@dude0609 Like Stevie G played in USA
@@dude0609 thank you it sucks tho
Yeah he finished his career at ISL club Delhi Dynamos FC
Not a one club man
Im a few seconds into this video and I can already know that no one will top Giggs. 1 club. Many titles. No one else comes close
titles wise, sure
maldini is a better player though
What makes baresi so great is because his physic is small as a central defender..
Mason mount, Alexander Arnold and Phil Foden will be on this list
Where’s the mention of Jackie taking ireland to the World Cup quarter final ?
Maldini ,Roma and Del Piero
Giggs made unremarkable moments then
Where's Alessandro del Pierro?
Del Piero after Juventus shortly playing in Australia
Ryan Giggs loyal to club but not family
What about Gary Neville?
Most of these teams have culture
Everything before the bosman arrest in 1995 is not that special. Paul scholes is maybe the best one bcs he get a blank check of then best team in the world barcelona and he said if you want me you need to buy the club.
Giggs wasn't a one woman man though 😂
Who do they respect more in Rome,Totti or the pope ?
uhhhhhhhh I think you forgot lev yashin
Tony Adams, Billy McNeill., Rogerio Ceni.... not the same sport as the others
bro I have asthma😭💀
What about uwe seller
No mention to Nilton Santos? Really?
sorry but I feel like Iniesta & Xavi should be here.
Being 2 of top 5 midfielders ever seen & going to completely dead leagues like Qatar & Japan not matter.
They weren't one club men...
giggs is loyal for man united but not to his wife
Did you know that Ryan Giggs' real name is Ryan Wilson? His father was Manchester City's supporter and his dream was his son to join The Citizens, but Ryan Wilson used his mother's last name to become Ryan Giggs and join Manchester United later.
Why doesn't Totti have an Icon?
Bro Puyol?? HOW U FORGET MESSI!?
the words carrager and greatest dont belong in the same paragraph
Messi was nearly number 1 for this
Where is Uwe Seeler?
It used to be Messi
Until it wasn't
Where lev yashin he has only played for dymamo moscow
Wen football was for love and passion not money 😓😓😓😓
Del Piero

Barcelona is just like
Ceni played 12 games for Sinop! Not a one club player!
Pitty that Messi does not qualify on this list. He's gone quiet at PSG.
Giggsy is a great baller. Just ask Rhodri.
💀💀
If Messi could’ve stayed in Barca, he would have.. Barca couldn’t afford him
Largely because of how much they paid him in the first place.
