    I disagree with what the sista said about those who chose to put a 3 to 5 year plan in place won’t be successful. Every YT channel I follow or have listened to that has moved to the continent who all have said that we need to plan, plan, plan and save! Don’t just hesitantly move without a plan to be able to sustain yourself. To tell someone to not plan or planning somehow means they aren’t serious is one of the most ridiculous things I’ve heard!

    • @travelingsista
      @travelingsista  Рік тому +19

      There are many who have come out with a 3-5 year plan and have been wildly successful, on the other hand, some have not. Then you have people like myself who didn’t come with a solid plan, and have had success. The bottom line is: there is no perfect formula to this. You can plan and PLAN, and once you get here, life looks vastly different than you imagined or planned that it would be. Some people don’t plan AT ALL, and should have.
      At minimum you should have a plan on how to make money and sustain yourself financially while you’re here. Most of all, I believe that you should be flexible. So many people come out and are so stuck on their plan that they don’t bend, and they have a hard time catching the flow of their new home country, and end up going home because of their inflexibility.
      At the end of the day, this transition looks completely different for each person, and I wouldn’t get too hung up on the UA-cam videos. (including mine) no one has all of the answers, and if they claim to, beware. The truth sometimes is more of a visceral feeling than a list of boxes to check.

      @@travelingsista yes you are 💯 correct. I have seen many with Master plans end in complete disaster and broke because of plans. Doing business here is almost impossible and very different than doing business else where. Yes have a plan but be flexible.

      I agree with the 3 to 5-year transition plan. Some might be able to do it in lesser time but most will not. One of the main keys is to deal with your mental issues as identified in this talk. They are talking about great points. Use what works for you.

      I don't think she meant to move out to Africa and have no plan at all. She was talking more about having a sense of urgency. Feeling like you need to get out and this is what you're doing about it now, instead of waiting 3-5 years to act. It was more about people having a desire that is fueling WHATEVER kind of plan they have in place, and acting.

    It's always a pleasure to see our people moving back to the motherland. I know it isn't perfect, but no place is.
    I don't understand the African Americans who are moving to Europe to " escape" racism.
    Yes, Europe.
    I can't wait to visit the motherland.
    Peace and blessings.

    Yes. It does feel like we're in prison. I've been planning for over 30 years and I can't stand it anymore. I move fro cali after 30 years plus there an returned to my southeastern roots in the DMV. It is a stopping point to regroup before I go back to Africa. I traveled and lived in Africa previously. Now, I'm very ready to leave Babylon. I'm retiring, have plans and enough money to live off and start a business later. ❤❤I just found your channel. I like it so far. I will visit Tanzania again, but I've settled on kenya.

    I had to get out of the 🇺🇸 period. 10year plan turned into 6 months real quick. I was drawn to Senegal but mainly because of familiarity and knowing it was better for my health and for my family's safety and quality of life.
    People need to to feel the urgency to get out AND they need a calling somewhere else. Doesn't matter the order but you definitely need both.

    23:44 I really love this interview, right now the way things are going if you have a young family it's best not to have a TV because of the programmes they're showing also the advert is another thing 😮 you know what I mean. Also I wouldn't allow my children to play the games on the tablets and phone it sounds harsh but the reason for that is it takes away the child/children individual focus because they're always thinking about playing the game also their mental development, productivity and imagination. Most people allow their children to play games on the tablets and phone because it keeps them quite 😮 but how about getting them to do some drawing, colouring or reading a book to develop their intelligence. I might sound mean or harsh to some people but think about it.
