I think we Africans on the continent should rise up and help our brothers and sisters from the diaspora settle in Africa. Like Freddy was saying, the government needs to make exceptions for the diaspora and make it easy for them to settle in Africa. After all, they are sons and daughters of the African soil. I believe for the government to change things, Africans on the continent have to help with advocacy. We want our brothers and sisters back. Peace to all.

      Agreed 100%.
That part about " the people and not the governments" -- I've been envisioning that a lot lately.

@Akoben Renaissance True, but we need the governments to revise laws that inhibit easy settlement of diasporans. And the rest will be up to us the people in terms of developing ourselves.

I've been asking that question for years! It's really insane when you process it. For as long as I can remember I've had a longing to come home; like my heart and soul is sad because I feel like I'm not supposed to be here in the U.S. i feel trapped and it is a horrible feeling. I have my passport application filled out already but I'm trying to convince my husband to begin preparing for the journey. I feel sometimes like with or without him I'm gone. We became instant friends/brothers ,such wonderful people. I understand what the sister is talking about when strangers greet her in the street here in the Netherlands my experience has been the same every time I meet them a warmth and spirituality and joy of life that is so pure. This sounds great! I hope they like melanin with a little cream in it 😄 as well. I've grown up with intraracial drama in US. I've got to discover something I can do for income there when it is time to leave Babylon. What the young lady said about coming back with the mindset of building the African economy resonated with me. You can't come with a mindset to divide and conquer, and take and get. You are to be of service to build the motherland and the people. I'm excited!

I think we need to first prioritise visits not repatriation. The reason is that we need to first get over the hump of Western media portrayal out of our diasporan brothers and sisters' minds before talking repatriation.

That’s why we need to get away from the devil.and feel love and a sense of being. We our powerful people and we are going to be alright. If we all continue to unite.
