Things an Architect Should Know: How to Draw a Section
Вставка
- Опубліковано 28 бер 2023
- A vertical cut through a space is called a section. In a section a vertical plane cuts through the building to remove part of the building from the cutting plane. The Section is a design tool to develop space, form, light, and construction.
Bro I think you should make a video in basics of architectural design and their terms you have good skills
Yes section is something all architects know how to do but the majority doesn't do it freehand some do the same process with drawing softwares like AutoCAD but most Skip this step and just designs the 3D Space and the sections are automatically created based on the 3D model and before anyone says it's easy no it's not you still need to specify every element in your model in order to have a accurate section.
In my childhood, I used to be a section freak. I'd compulsively fill-up many notebooks w thousands of those draws, just for the sake of it. Unfortunately I can't remember what exactly made me fall in love w this technique - probably magazines 😅
Hi,Jamie Roberts. Your work is just marvellous. I love the craft that you showcase. I have recently been to the similar artist channel @30SecIdeas who is very creative like you. Keep up the good work,🌄 Kudos! 👏
Thank you so much!
Descriptive geometry is a subject that is taught in all (self-respecting) polytechnic faculties in the world from the first year of study. It's not only in architecture.
You won't be able to call yourself an engineer if you don't know how to make a section in the three separating planes of the subject being studied.
Nice
Very nice 👏
Nice👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Great👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 could you talk how roofs on houses are build?
Ok. Will do!
What do you do for living? "Well, i draw"
Is there any proper Full video for sectional elevation topic?
I wannna be an arcutecht too
This is like saying a thing a doctor should know is how to use a stethascope, as though that's something special. Buildings are described in plans: a horizontal section, and vertical sections. Note the section should not show the elevation beyond. It's a technical drawing about vertical spatial organization, not a picture of the internal spaces.
What kind of paint are you using?
Schmincke Horadam Watercolors
Clutch
What pen do you use?
This is a Lamy Safari EF pen with Platinum Carbon Ink.
what pen you using sir?
Lamy Safari. Good, cheap, and easy to clean.
