I just got a flash 55 and I love it , I have a medium in the same yellow colour. I love the water bottle pockets. One thing I found I can do it using the straps that attach the top lid . I can remove them and i attach two to the shoulder straps and two to the hip belt just behind the pockets on hip belt and the top lid makes a awesome chest pocket for quick access small things . The coolest thing about the pack is regarding REI customer service. I had a minor issue with the first one I got and REI sent me a replacement flash 55 no cost and they told me I didn’t have to send the other pack back. So I have two flash 55s for the price of one and I got my first one on sale to boot. REI customer service is awesome. The the virtual pack fitting is a nice customer service touch.

@@ThenaturalmedicAdventures “sadly” I am bases in EU, so dont have the opportunity to pop in🥹 I did my torso measure and it resulted in 22” which must be off. Since I am only about 184/185 cm. I calculated that your 6foot2 averages to around 187cm. Would you sad that you’re in the upper or lower scale of what a size L accommodate?
I love this pack (it's even in my profile pic LOL). REI's best kept secret IMO--an UL pack for a decent price that just WORKS.

its a nice pack! I have it. I was in REI the other day and the newest version is a sharp looking color. Maybe a hunter green.

It's well padded and comfortable
I am 185 and normal built. Would you recommend the M og L?
Best choice is to get measured if u can it's based on torso length hope that helps
