And i heard you say use eyeshadow to color that part if needed, genius! I watched another video where the woman cut the main front, like she cut a piece of the seam and then cut it off, right at the hair line, plucked out hairs, and i didnt think that looked so great. This DOES THOUGH!!!! im new to wigs and this was VERY VERY helpful to me!!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH! and god bless!
I did this to a wig I wasn’t wearing due to the cheap hairline, except I cut a U shape all the way to my crown. These types of wigs already exist, but it was a free option rather than buying a new piece. By going to my crown, I covered all the cut edges with my bio hair, and it looks great. Saved money and I’m not wasting a piece I would have otherwise been unsatisfied with.

Also tip from me is to never pluck the parting to make it wider cause it will make the rubber skin look even more visible, What I like to do is to rip all hairs from the rubber scalp only leaving te vertisal strip of hairs that is crering the partint itself, then I use glue to glue that strip flat on both sides to the rubber scalps surface while I try to distribute those hair te way to evenly cover the bald plucked areas of scalp to make it look like hair are lay flat with hair gel, then i take some of those hairs I plucked and i glue them in very small pinches on the parting itself just to be sure there is no large areas of rubber visible on the parting line but I also make sure there is some spaces the rubber shows out like normal scalp, then at the end I take two very small pinches of hair and i glue them directly at the border where rubber scalp is cut
Super idea. Thx . I personally would sew more clips in ( i use clips all the time be.they give me more security) and maybe use a hairband or maybe silk hair scarf to cover the border between the natural and the wig.

I use my glue gun to sew alot of different t projects😂 I will def try this technique if/when the need arises. Love the "unconventional" approach to this hack!
What if you dont want any of your hair visible???? I want blonde hair but my autoimmune disease is causing reaction to bleach and my hair is falling out. I want to hide ALL of my hair. So its spend thousands, wear a horrible wig or show your own horrible hair. Awesome choices 😒

Once you cut it down the center it messes with the way the wig is supposed to go on and stay in place. Any tips for fixing that issue?

Yes! As long as you glue the clips tight enough (and sometimes the wig even comes with clips on the sides) it shouldn't fall out AT ALL
