That turned out even better than I expected it would! This was so nostalgic, because that last look was a BIG look back in the day. Every girl in middle school had hundreds of clips (and they were always butterflies and always a million colors) and was always doing the twist back look. Heck, I've got yearbooks from 1999-2003 that show girls wearing that style to Prom!
The head band with clips would have been so much easier if it was about back then, than using multiple different tiny clips, took me straight back to the 90’s lol
I find it hilarious they advertise this for straight hair. I have that exact hair and those clips fall right out. Not enough texture to hold them in. Your styles looked super cute!
The criss cross concept and the last one are my favorite. Definitely will give these clips a try to do something different for simple natural hairstyles!
I thought ,"Oh Lord what medieval contraptions are we gonna think about using now?!" After watching how you "made it happen" I'm convinced that you ought to be a spokesperson for these clips. Shoot for something I never dreamed to put in my hair you best believe I'll try 'em. Thanks Viv 😊 You my dear have ventured further than I EVER thought I would go with my hair. How persuasive you are!😚💥
I had one of those things when I was younger, straight strawberry blonde hair that tangled easily. That was the thing of my nightmares, my hair would always get stuck in it, and also it just looked really harsh and bad on me. This seems like it works so much prettier on textured hair. I adore your series and resepect your talent, daringness and creativity
Styles looked really cute and fun. Would love to see a video (or short) of you trying to make a cute hairstyle that uses all the clips at the same time. 😂 If anyone can do it you can.
Actually, you helped me see some other styles. As you said, you don't have to use rubber bands or hair ties. That's why I like them. I see fro hawks. I did like the pompadour and the ones with the band
I was ready for the fail lol.. but these actually turned out really cute. Those clips really work and can hold onto thick hair. I love these diverse styles tfs 🥰
I loved those headbands when I was in middle school about 15 years ago! I may need to get them again! My hair was relaxed at that time so yeah it will be interesting to see on natural hair👀👀👀👀 Never used the hair clip thing with clips on them though, that's new to me.
My immediate thought for the headband one, would be to set it on after you have a pulled back type of style already done, and using all the little claws to hold accessories (like bows, flowers, ribbon, etc)
Hi Viv, love your channel and all your hairstyles! I've been obssessed with the new Netflix show Inventing Anna, there's a character Neff who rocks many curly hairstyles. I searched for tutorials to reproduce some of her hairstyles and couldn't find any. Can you make a video like that? Trying Neff from Netflix's Inventing Anna hairstyles? Pretty please, I'm desperated!
I have one in black and another in brown. I've had them for years. I love them! Can't use them now cuse I got a short layered cut. They are so cute and look really cute on you too! GO FOR IT!! ❣
I was thinking of getting these handbands when I saw them at the store and being that this trend in coming but wasn’t sure if it’ll work for my type 4 hair type
Part 2 idea: Part the front out based on amount of clips on the bandoo. (Set aside) 😊Make a high, fat, neat bun and put one of those bandoos around it. Hugging the base of the bun (Viv, you'll figure it out). Then twist or twine the front through the bandoo and down into the center of the bun. Ensure it's twined to the end. That's an idea I just visualized.
...if the makers of these don't put some gottdang sparkly butterflies on it and give me my full 90s/00s!!! Also - these worked super well and super cute and I loved the style ideas for the smallest ones.

I wore that hairstyle to prom! It took me sooo long to make it nice because my hair was quite short!
Oh cool, what was high school like then?
The head band with clips would have been so much easier if it was about back then, than using multiple different tiny clips, took me straight back to the 90’s lol
@@winklepicking3202 kids these days have no idea how much we SUFFERED for beauty!! 😆😆😆

This is the first time I prayed for a barrette. That second clip worked a job!
I’m looking into those clips. They would look great with locs!
I love how comfortable and confident you make me that my hair cN do anything. I love it here🥰
Actually, you helped me see some other styles. As you said, you don't have to use rubber bands or hair ties. That's why I like them. I see fro hawks. I did like the pompadour and the ones with the band
The last hair style turned out so good!

The first style was probably my favorite. I love the idea of doing it on a deep part.
So cute. The final hairstyle was definitely a pleasant surprise
My favorite is the last one! It looked super cute on you. The criss cross one was really cute too, and I think it'd be really cute on both sides too
I wore those in the 90’s and early 00’s. 😂 All things 90’s making a comeback.
I love #4...so right able to do twists without using rubber bands....
The last hairstyle was my fav but they were all passable
My hair is in that funky growing out of a cut stage. This would be perfect to hide her unshapely masses
Wow, honestly I kind of want these.
A simple pompador but more ... complicated!
Love your excitement when the ideas enter your mind!
The last one was fantastic! 90's vibes all the way.
I have one of the headbands and it's easy to do the style but a pain in the butt to remove.
My immediate thought for the headband one, would be to set it on after you have a pulled back type of style already done, and using all the little claws to hold accessories (like bows, flowers, ribbon, etc)
I loved your reactions when you had bursts of inspiration for different hairstyles! So cute! 😂🥰
I saw these and was IMMEDIATELY transported back to the 1990's-*early 2000's. What a ride.....
These could be good for helping people learn to french braid since you can clip down every piece while you collect the next section of hair
Oooh! Thats an interesting idea!
If I remember correctly there is a tool for French braiding your own hair that's like this.
The headband style is my favorite
I love your enthusiasm while trying all of those clips. That was alot of styles in one video. The last one was the best I think 🥰
Wow! Thar hair color looks magnificent on you, it goes so well with your skintone. You have such a lovely glow.
Those styles turned out great! No elastics is a plus

Ooo, thanks for the Netflix recommendation.
@@dawndesu6863 it's really good! It's from Shonda
Now if only they were butterfly clips!
I have one in black and another in brown. I've had them for years. I love them! Can't use them now cuse I got a short layered cut. They are so cute and look really cute on you too!
GO FOR IT!! ❣
I may have a very different hair texture - 1C, super fine strands - but you’re just so charming and I love your sense of humour, so I’ve subscribed!
She is for everyone. I feel like she just make us look at our hair in a different light
The styles with the 3 clips one was real cute.
Useless things coming back from the 90s. Love your content
I didn't have high hopes but I actually loved the headband... I might need to give it a try
This was amazing, those clips were MADE for you 😍
This looks so so cute!!! I was surprised at how much I liked every single one!!!
I LOVE YOUR BEAUTIFUL ENERGY BEAUTIFUL SISTAR
The last two was my fav
You're so pretty. Love your nose, eyes, lips everything!!!! Sooooo pretty ☺️☺️☺️☺️🥰
From red to orange. Cute!
Super 90's vibes. I love it!
I have straight hair so correct me if this doesn't make sense but couldn't you use a few of the smaller clips to a mohawk of pompadours/hair bumps
Ok you got me thinking about ordering these
I loved so many and I wanna try them on my daughter and myself
Thanks
You did such a great job. Which makes them advertising just for one…..TEXTURE, all the more foul. Great job Viv
Love the bandeau. That's how butterfly mini clips used to work. Lovely videos. ^^
I never do anything with my hair but these look FUN!
This turned out really nicely
Some actually very cute styles with the clips!
At first I was like what was you thinking but its a good thing you got it love it 💜
Yaaay ive been so curious as to how youre gonna use these things!!!
I've seen these headbands but never thought they were for type 4 hair, I now stand corrected!
I love all of these styles. Those clips are cute
They all turned out really good 🥰
They are from the nineties, I had one but it was too big for my fine hair, it's an easy way to do the twisty style.
The last style was fire! Love it!
You are awesome.
I love that you leave in your thought process and experimenting :)
Wow I just might try these!! Looks cute and easy❣️
Just want to you look so pretty in the light pink.
Have you tried bubble braids I think that would be a cool style for you to try
I was thinking of getting these handbands when I saw them at the store and being that this trend in coming but wasn’t sure if it’ll work for my type 4 hair type
These were very cute... I think these clips would be dope the thick hair girls who like the y2k vibes..
Styles came out great with your hair 👍🏾
I remember these back in the early 2000

your creativity.. genius
Very pretty and creative 💜
V 2000s, love it

Those headband were all the rage at my middle school in the late 90s 😂
Thanks Viv! 🌟🌹😘💕🌟

Every time she says "ooo"😄
That's actually quite interesting. Thanks! ❤️❤️❤️
lol, I had this headband in elementary.
Viv, love, you're so brave. I'm so scared of those clips, I have a fear of them getting stuck😭🙈
I'm Jamaican and you sound sooooo Caribbeannnnnn
Very cute, all of them, and watching and listening to you is so much fun. :)

Ok you made me want to get one of those now lol
Those were really popular in the 90’s
I could just feel my hair getting tangled into one of those.
Loved these looks
I remember these from the early 00s 😂
