I don’t know if anyone told you but you doing a good job . A lot of yard videos now is all about pushing all there products, not a lot of true lawn care tip. Glad to see you staying humble .
Mike, my guy that sprays my yard called me last Friday and told me I had Armyworms. I’ve lived in this house 37 years and I think this is a first for me. He sprayed my yard today . After watching your video during lunch I’m confident I can do it next time thanks to you. I’m in Northern Oklahoma 25 miles from Kansas. Thanks Mike, I enjoy your videos.
Bermuda man! Ive been watching and learning from your video for so very long! I'm s woman on a mission to keep my Dad's yard the beautiful way he kept it when he was with us! And I have lived through army works, yes I did! But, get this? I really don't know what type of grass I actually have? I have what is called "Golf grass" mostly! And theres another type mixed in that I don't care for that actually by itself is really hearty and thick! Has enormous runners that have thick pretty green grass! But, mixed in with my golf grass, for lack of the real name, it looks like a weed sticking up in places! My question is 1. What is the real name for golf grass? (Truth is: I didn't want anyone to know that I didn't know? Sh! Lol) 2. ? Name of thick grass mixed in and can I get rid of it without hurting my golf grass? 3. And if you had a choice which grass would you keep if you had to choose!? Which one is easier and less costly to care for? I just love kicking off my shoes and walking around barefooted in my golf grass! Feels like carpet! And I did that! I know my Dad is bragging about his daughter taking care of business here in his yard!!! Thank you for all of the knowledge you've given me! You're the reason my yard looks as fantastic as it does! And I'd of given up during the bout with the army worms if you weren't doing what you do! I'm a woman and we get alot of flack when it comes to trying to fit in around the yard men? Say it's not true, I will lose respect for ya! Lol! Nope, you're the man! Thank you for all your valuable videos and keep them coming! Beth
I asked you 2 years ago what to do about my army worms? And I'm here to tell you they are more difficult to get rid of than this! I've been fighting mine for 2 years and I've had to totally til and thatch my yard and keep them away! You've got to break the ground to get to them! If you see little white moths in your grass when you walk across it... You have them! They lay their larvae that's red and looks like one of those buds that grow on a magnolia bush! I picked one up thinking it was a bud and when it started wiggling I threw it and my cell phone across the yard! They are perpectual! And they eat from the roots up! So you won't be able to even know you have them before it's too late! I figured I just had Grubb worms at first? But what killed grubs didn't kill the worms. Good luck everyone! I'm treating my yard twice or even three times a year for army worms! And hoping that they were warned by their fellow army worms not to come in my yard, cause they'll die! Lol!
@@gfree301 You're very welcome! Hon, I don't know how I had them, but that's what the bug man said I had and they aren't no joke! Good luck with yours though and thank you!
@@williamgates2466 I'm sorry so glad I was able to help you notice you had them before too late! Good luck and stay vigil! That's the only way to get rid of them. Thank you.
@@rebelcitysports1outlook713 I'm hoping you're right? But, please check for them again! Cause in the larva stage they are hard to kill and if you treat before that or while they are in that stage, they will hatch and your grass is gone before you know it? They lay lots and lots of eggs! Every where! Sorry, but hopeful you have taken care of them.
I saw one of these suckers in my pool hanging on for dear life the other day and didn't know what it was...good thing I killed it! Thanks to this video, I'm throwing down some spectacide triazicide TOMORROW. No playing around over here! Thank you!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thanks bro. I've been seeing caterpillars on my driveway every morning for the last few days. Now I wonder if I have them. I renovated my entire lawn this spring and I dont want to lose all these gains I made.
The army worms come out at night to eat the grass blade foliage thats why the liquid works "better and faster." It sticks to grass blades. The granular works well but a combination of both is the sure kill method. I'm not spending money on a bug trap. As long as you treat your lawn every few months, you'll never have armyworms. Good video.
BYD, I've been fighting army worms since July here in Texas. Just sprayed again for the fourth time. Caught them early this time. When I poured soapy water on my lawn, tiny army worms came up, and looked like they just hatched out in the past couple of days. I don't have the Amdro product here, but I do Bayer granules, followed by spray like you show. Every two weeks. Man, I'll be glad when they settle down! Looks like I need to get a dynatrap!
North Texas here and I had an invasion of armyworms before I knew what they were. The infestation was so bad they were crawling up one side of my house. I watched your video to determine what problem I had and did as you instructed in your video. They killed my entire front yard. Will the grass grow back this upcoming year or will I have to reseed/replant?
I'm from middle TN they got my home away from home they inky get well taken care of lawns bout 3wks ago it's hurts but will redo I know you are aBurmuda man I'm a fescue luv your channel hang in there smooth
Using both granular and liquid is a good approach. Watering in the granular also helps bring things to the surface so you can then get them with the liquid as well.
Yup, few weeks ago i saw a few on my driveway. Tossed down my pesticide and in a few minutes had over 100 all over my lawn dying. Here in central Texas
Thanks BYD! I got hit with the Army worms last week here in Central Alabama...I hit em hard with the Specticide Triazicide spray and the Caravan G granular.. seems to have got the good with the double treatment. Keep up the good work BYD! Can I get you to say..Roll Tide! 😁

I will tell you one product that DOESN’T work here in the upstate of the great state of South Carolina and that is liquid Triazicide. I laid down 2 treatments at 150% of the recommended concentration, and I still had female moths flying up and some live worms coming to the surface after pouring down soapy water a week after the second treatment. I just laid down some 7.9% liquid bifenthrin at 1 ounce per gallon this morning. We will see what happens. These army worms are no joke this year! Ugh!
@@rebelcitysports1outlook713 Thanks for the info. I just ordered 3 quarts of Summit Caterpillar and Webworm concentrate. I am not sure that the issue is the worms themselves. It’s the moths that keep coming back to lay more eggs a day or two after I treat. In addition to Triazicide, I have treated twice with bifenthrin at more than double the recommended dosage, Amdro liquid and granular simultaneously as recommended in this video, and imidacloprid, which I needed to put down anyway for a regular season grub preventative. All of this stuff appears to contain moth vitamins! Ugh! In the meantime, I just received my Dynatrap 1 Acre model. I am going to fire that bad boy up tonight and see if it slows them down while I wait for the Summit juice. I’ll keep you posted.

BYD. Love your video's. Went through your video list( You have done lots of video's) looking for a video on expandable hoses. I noticed the one you were using for your army worm spray and was wondering what your fav was since i'm returning my 2nd one in only about a months worth of use each. Love what they do but i need one that wont break after one month. Thank you
When buying houses you get what you pay 💰 for most times. Make sure t says kink free. Measure furthest distance from house and add 25 ft to ensure you can reach those weeds away from house lol. 100?ft hose is good but heavy ( get two 5o feet ) a 10 hose won’t cut it. Mine generally run from 25-80 per hose. When winter 🥶 come take the hoses in the garage to prevent dry cracking.
Fortunately I'm not having an issue in NW NM. Too dry.. either way that looks like a good product to get rid of other insects like ants. I haven't seen the product personally. Is it pet safe after drying like Spectracide says? Got dogs that like the soft Bermuda grass vs gravel.
