You are the bright spot in my day Louise! Thank you for all of the time you spend helping people learn how to paint watercolors. You make it so easy for me I love you my sister.👍🌴 Truly from Florida 💋
I've been watching you for a long time. Love your teaching style and your talent. I have to say the part I love best is your outtakes at the end. Making me chuckle is a highlight and let's me know that we can enjoy without being serious all the time. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with us ❤
Hi Louise, this Mix Watercolour Grays video is so appreciated! It is amazing how you can create the gray colour, having said that I agree with you that the French ultramarine and Burnt Sienna makes the perfect gray. As always, your informative tutorial is very important. Thank you sweet lady!❤. Helene
Louise is the absolute best teacher. I’ve tried a lot of diff teachers on patreon but none of them compare to Louise. Her tutorials are everything a student cld ask for and her community is friendly and helpful. This was an unsolicited comment btw. I just really enjoy her style of teaching and I’m always amazed at how much I’ve learned. Thanks Louise ❤
Did all the suggested mixes and also experimented with some more similar colors changing the blues, yellows ad greens. Pretty happy with my color swathes card that I will be using as reference. Thank you for this video!
Thanks so much for the wonderful recipes of your favorite Greys/Grays, I am listing them as Louise’s Grays 1-4. Did you know that Daniel Smith at one time & I think 🤔 still does sell another pre-made Gray called Jane (Blundell’s) Gray, made with Burnt Sienna PBR 7, & Ultramarine PB 29? I use both W&N’s Payne’s Grey, & Davies’ Gray, & Daniel Smith’s Jane’s Grey. I really appreciate your insight & knowledge on making all these variations of Grey/Gray. Thanks for the wonderful video.
Hi Louise! Thanks a lot for this very interesting and very inspirering video. The part with colours separating in the mix on paper is very interesting and well worth to explore much further! Regards Lars
I love shadows where the colors are blended but still obvious, which is why I don’t like premixed grays. In a lot of your paintings, the edges almost look outlined, darker. Not sure if it’s the pencil line underneath peaking through or if you deliberately let the paint somehow settle around the edges, but it is such a neat effect.
I have a blog post and also a list of my new paint palette. www.louisedemasi.com/tips/2024/10/18/setting-up-a-watercolour-palette & www.louisedemasi.com/paints
