It’s so wonderful that you’re providing your family with minimally processed foods that have little to no chemical preservatives. It looks like a lot of work, but the health benefits you’re giving your family are wonderful. Great job, Kim!
Thanks for sharing, Kim! My favorite apple is Honeycrisp too!! I have planting a Honeycrisp apple tree and a Gayla apple tree in my yard. No apples yet, but this is only year 2.
Hey Kim, I hope you and your family are doing well. I just made applesauce last week using that recipe and oh my goodness it was delicious 😋. I used my scraps to make apple cider vinegar, but have definitely been thinking about that composter. It seems to be so easy to use. You got me thinking I need to get more apples to make apple butter 🤔😂. Thank you for sharing. Have an amazing blessed day ❤😊
Great video and nice job explaining everything step by step. You can also take the cores and skins and make jelly with them. We tried it last year and it came out great! And then add what’s left to the compost afterwards
Yes! Another viewer mentioned it. My mom said that her grandmother used to make apple jelly from the skins and cores, too. I'm going to try and find one of the family elders to see if they have the recipe. Then, I'm do a video of both. 😊
Now you have me wanting a digital canner….I gave my water bath and pressure to mysonthechef….he has the greenstalk we gave him last year for Christmas and is in Florida so since I haven’t been using it, I sent him home with them in July….My husband loves apple butter…I’d love to make some for him! LOL! Thanks for another wonderful video Kim! Picked my maters and they’re green and hard and on a small table next to my southern window…..praying they’re ripen! ❤❤❤

You cook them down like making mashed potatoes? That easy? I think I'll eat more apples if I had that apple pealer gadget. Gonna check that out.
It's not too expensive either.
@@HangingwithKim That works for me!
