Love your Chanel. You have taught me so much. Been watching you since last February. I know longer buy bread and I have been canning since March. I am trying to grow a small garden but I am still learning. Hope you are feeling better. God bless you and your wonderful family. You are a blessing to me. Thank you from Texas
I was getting ready to comment but realized you said exactly what I was going to say. Great minds....
I am so glad you have been enjoying my channel!
Praying that you will feel better soon 🙏
The day I’ve been waiting for so long. Last week I was able to move into my own home. I’m having coffee and enjoying time with my “long-distance friend”, Ruthann, on a Saturday morning. God is surely Good 🙏🧡 Lorie 😊
P.S. The longer the video the better, in my opinion 😉
Welcome to your new home ! We are so happy for you! 🙏🧡
@@Ruthannzimm thank you so much! You and your family are definitely a part of my home too 😊
I'm in the process of remodeling the dream house on 5 acres. Congrats to you.
Cutest little helper you got there, Gramma. What a BLESSING!!! ❤️
Winston is sooooo adorable!!
Thank you Ruth Ann. This has become my Saturday morning ritual with coffee. Your loving family is what’s right in the world. Bless you all. I loved loved loved the cider pressing
Your canning closet is beautiful. All the colors are lovely. Winston has surely grown. He is precious and so blessed.
Good morning Ruth Ann. I was praying and thinking of you and your family because I wait for your video every Saturday morning. Have a wonderful day.
I don't mind long videos because they are so informative and enlightening. I love learning what I don't know.
🍁🍂🍁The children are so amazing and strong! Wow! You are a wonderful role model for them. Keep being awesome. Hugs and prayers. 🍁🍂🍁
Making cider/visiting the press is probably my favorite thing you do. All the other traditional skills/homemaking can be done by anyone today and should be. But this cousin of your father's, this heritage and tradition is truly valuable history! What a treasure he and his cider press are. Thank you for sharing this.
Of my gosh, Winston is adorable! The cute faces he makes while tasting the apple sauce gave me a good belly laugh.
Good morning sweet lady. Hope you and the family are doing well. Starting to get cooler here in Arkansas, not sure I'm ready for winter.. prayers for you and your family, and you get to feeling better!
Just finished canning apples yesterday but would like to get a few more for dehydrating. TY for always posting these fun videos that help others learn what some of us grew up around. I never take for granted, the lessons from my mom, grandma and great-grandma.
Another wonderful video Ruthann. You are such a hard worker and a great momma. You have taught all of us so much in canning, gardening, parenting, and homesteading in general. You are so right, God is so good.
Oh you poor girl. I hope you feel better than you sound. I love your channel. I look forward to spending Saturday mornings with you. May the Lord Bless you and your beautiful family. ❤😊🙏
Thank you for inviting us into your family’s ways… love your channel ❤️
Good morning RuthAnn and sweet family! Apple harvest brings back so many memories of sitting under a shade tree and preparing apples with my mother, grandmother and great grandmother. My grandparents dried apples on window screen in the sun.
Preserving apples now is a lot easier and faster. Good job on preserving your apple harvest.
I hope you and your lovely family have a very blessed weekend!
Your grandson is adorable. I just finished my apple preservation a couple weeks ago. It is a lot of work. But so worth it. God bless you.
This is a special day for me, all my favorite videos are airing! Our extended family love anything apple. We always made applesauce. My homemade sauce was much requested for family potlucks/dinners. I make mine differently as we like chunky applesauce so I peel, cook spice and skip the food mill.
What a wonderful way to warm your house, with the smell of cooking apples!
Hope you are feeling better soon
I so look forward to watching you every Saturday morning. You are like a tonic.
I love apple canned pie filling. I gave it as Christmas goodies one year and everyone loved it. Not to mention how easy it is to make a apple pie late. Beautiful work.
Good Morning♡
Your channel is a breath of fresh air! I love watching your videos, and knowing that I can safely share it with my children. We all love to learn from you!
I just bought my first batch of raw milk, and am spending this morning making butter!
Thank you for being so open and sharing your wisdom and skills with those of us who need it.
I'm a millennial mama of 4 and I feel like I'm just starting to learn about... everything.
I love Saturday morning! I never know what you'll be teaching me, but I always enjoy and pick up some wonderful tidbits of knowledge! Today was no exception. Have a wonderful week, RuthAnn.
Ruth Ann, I enjoy your channel so very much. I learned the "Art" of canning, pickling and preserving from my Grandmother and Aunt years ago. However, I find it so interesting to see the various nuances of other individuals techniques. Watching how you can and preserve food has added validity to some of the ways that I was taught. The cider pressing was a wonderful share. Again, bringing such fond memories of pressing apples to mind. Your storage cellar is a beautiful array of color and comfort. God is Good. ❣❣❣
Your boys working with you peeling those apples makes me 😊. Praying you feel better.
Good Morning sweet lady, I hope your voice gets better soon, Winston is getting so big how precious he is , I see he love your apple sauce what a handsome sweet baby, Winston is going to learn all the wonderful skills the rest of the family knows you are a wonderful Grandma. Mother, Wife and friend you are . I love your videos and I love the wonderful Christian lady you are, you amaze me with everything you accomplish. You always start my Saturday off with a smile and I always learn something new. Thank you for everything you do for your subscribers you bring us all a lot of happiness and joy.
It’s very interesting to watch how you pass this down to the younger generation. My 5 year old granddaughter Audrey watched with me and now she has more ideas of what to do with our apples!❤
What a wonderful experience for your children. They get to witness the hard work it takes to feed the family.❤
God is good indeed, Mrs Z, from the looks of your storage, you have been blessed with a bountiful harvest this year. You guys are well stocked for the winter, come what may. God is good. This video has been a busy one, but I enjoyed it.🙏❤️🙂
Thank you for sharing your views on consuming healthy bacteria. In the past 4 years I’ve noticed that for a society that obsesses about cleanliness, as a whole we are very unhealthy. I am in much better condition since beginning on the raw milk, whole food, natural medical remedies, etc journey. It’s nice to know others out there feel the same :)
Your wealth of knowledge is incredible, God bless your precious heart Mrs Zimmerman ❤️ 😘
Thank you so very much for doing this video. It was so informative for you to show The codling Moth damage. I remember you making the traps but since I didn't know the effects The Moth had on the apples now I'm able to see and that is exactly what happens to my apples and I did not know what it was thank you so very much for your kindness and sharing especially when I know you did not feel 100% due to your voice you are such a special lady you do make our world a better place thank you
Oh my goodness, this is one of the best videos. So much good information. I loved watching the pressing apple press. It's good to see old ways. Thank you so much for sharing this. Sending hugs to you and your family.
I do enjoy Ruth Zimmerman time, thank you to you and your family I keep learning 😊
What a great video, really enjoyed it. The apple press was an eye opener for me, so basic but so efficient, I am sure that the dregs would be fed to livestock. Thank you for your time in putting all these videos together so we can watch you and your family. Best wishes from England.
Winston is just precious!
Thank you Ruth Ann for sharing your wisdom and ways and daily lifestyle. I am sooo thankful I found your channel and love ALL your videos!❤😊
Thank you for your timely videos! I have done quite a few quarts of apple pie filling already this year and plan to do more as well as dry some sliced apples. My daughter met you at the HOA conference this past weekend and commented many times on the genuine friendliness and sincerity of both you and your husband. She enjoyed being able to chat with you for a little as well as sit in your session, even though she had to go out with their 2 year old part way through. Thank you!
That’s so nice of her!!
Love you and your family. Thank you for always sharing all that you do. I'm from Lancaster Co born and raised (I was a Yoder 😊) and my favorite apple cider is of course Kauffman's. Nothing better than freezing it and slurping the slushy treat around the table playing games, especially along side my moms cheese ball and pepper jelly with crackers. That to me is when fall and the holidays truly begin ❤
This was such a good video all about apples. It made me hungry for apple crisp 🍎 🍏
Your family is beautiful and all working together. Little Winston is sure growing- sweet baby.
Ruthann, I think you have lost some weight.
Thank you for sharing your hard work and family with us today. God is good!
So excited! I've got my Pie Mix frozen (thank you!) and this is the video I've been needing! Have a blessed week!
Just love your videos Ruth Anne. You are such an inspiration. Such a wonderful loving family. Videos are amazing! If I had 1/4 of your energy! May God bless you and your beautiful family. Love everything you do I have learrned so much from you. Hope you feel better.
I agree completely with your answers about the bugs or worms and drinking your apple juice raw…as is with all its nutrients….I have been gardening for years and enjoy eating my own veggies ….I harvested 100 bulbs of garlic this summer and today I am on my way to the garden to plant next year’s garlic. Merci beaucoup. Très intéressant 💕🧄
That apple pressing part is so cool!
Your, such a hardworking and knowledgeable lady. I notice your cook ware is lifetime brand. My mom had those when I was growing up. Enjoying this video
I’m a new subscriber and I am fascinated with your videos and your lifestyle. One of my grandmothers was raised on a farm and she lived on a farm all her life while raising her 10 children. I remember her having canning jars filled with many types of fruits and vegetables. She would cook the wild game her “boys” would get while out hunting. I used to love her fried rabbit and squirrel. She made her own biscuits every week and I loved watching her make the dough in her wooden oblong bowl. I’m mentioning all this to illustrate that I think people were so much healthier when their food was homemade and they worked every day to have the security of enough food to feed their families. Knowing now about all the chemicals and additives being put into processed foods, it’s no wonder so many people have way more health issues. It’s very scary.
Thank you for helping to preserve some of these forgotten food prep methods and sharing them with your audience. Have you ever watched or heard of Mary’s Nest on UA-cam? She cooks and preserves according to “pioneer” methods and gives a lot of information on nutrition and the importance of eating whole foods. Both of your channels are so important!
Hope your voice is feeling better soon!
❤-Brenda
Loved your video on five ways to preserve apples. So interesting how apple cider is made❤️
We always got our cider from the mill. I don't like the grocery store cider as well. I love watching your life. Makes me remember my childhood. I still do some of the things but have gotten lazy. This inspires me. Thank you.
Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and your beautiful family, especially sweet Winston. I have learned so much from you. God bless your family.
Im dealing with apples here too. I appreciate the recipes and storage ideas. Thank you!
Thank you for taking us along for all of the apple adventures - always enjoy your videos! ❤ xo
Hello Ruth Ann. In last weeks video I noticed you have a wooden screen door. I love a screen door like that. The sound of a wooden screen door reminds me of home. It's gives such a comforting feeling. Along with all the wonderful memories your children will have I hope the sound of a screen door will always bring them back home. ❤Patsy
Thank you for sharing your expertise there's so many young men and women who have never done this it's so much food goes to waste.
I tell people share share share your experience the gardening and kitchen to make your life so much easier it's a lot of work but it sure pays off when times get tough!
Good Morning Ruth,

Thank you for all your wonderful content. I really love spotting all the kitchen tools that I have and the Iowa State shirts :) I hope you are having a great time with the girls and Winston in TN, that bookstore looked really cool.
Thank you once again Ruth I appreciate all your content. I've always wanted to make apple cider and I thought that it would be very involved difficult and something I couldn't possibly do at home. And thank you for the knowledge that we can just freeze it It doesn't have to be canned. You are such a wealth of knowledge to me and I really appreciate you. Please keep all your wonderful recipes coming I've printed the apple goodie recipe also and cannot wait to try it. Hoping You're feeling better soon and looking forward to next weeks video❤

Love your channel! Hope you feel better soon. I remember having apple trees and those darn moths that would infect my apples. Drove me nuts
Good morning everyone, love watching your channel and getting new ideas. I’m using my roaster and slowly cooking overnight, we have also started adding chopped rhubarb into some of the batches of apples and it’s delicious.

This video was so interesting. Love the cider press and seeing the process.
Loved the long video!❤
We have a small press and this is our second year making apple cider! All your information was wonderful and I loved seeing the juices gush forth in a powerful stream from your cousins gigantic fruit press! Happy fall to you and your beautiful family❤️
Children are so funny. They will make a game out of everything. ❤ thank you for the recipes, just in time for me
Such a beautiful time of year for harvesting all of the apples. We processed two bushels of apples into chunky applesauce and spiced apples. My husband helps out at a local orchard that makes delicious apple cider. Unfortunately, they have decided to sell their land and store and the buyers do not plan to reopen or operate as an orchard in the future. Always sad to see change, but it is just a fact of life. We will find a new source for next year, but through the kindness of friends we are supplied with enough apples for our own canning. We just won't have access to cider. Have a great week, and thanks for sharing this fun video!
This is my ALL Time Favorite video. Thank you
Thank you for the video it was a learning experience on apple cider. You were truly blessed with a wonderful family. God Is Good.
Thank you that was fun seeing the apple cider being pressed!
Really enjoyed the cider press field trip.
All the time ❤
So glad I found you. You can food more like my grandma did. ❤
I want to go pick apples now!
Hope you feel better soon 💝
Thank you so much for all these videos!
Thank you for showing us everything apples. My brother in law has a huge apple tree in his garden in Brittany and I'm always able to bring back home so many kilos of apples. He only keeps some for eating and never does anything with the rest. They keep quite well in the refrigerator, as you said, but I also use them to make chunky compote or jelly by adding them to quince. I also make crumbles or use them in recipes with pork. The cuisine of Normandy likes adding cider and:or apples to their recipes made with pork chops or other cuts of pork.
The process of extracting the juice was most interesting to watch.
Some of our church ladies have gone in together to get a couple of bins of apples from a local orchard so we’ve been canning lots of applesauce making apple butter and I’m freezing apple slices to use for apple crisp/crumble and apple pies etc through the year. My children have been begging to “make apple cider” but I told them unfortunately that’s not a skill I have and am not even sure it could be done. Seeing this large apple cider press was a treat for sure
What a great looking pantry!
I remember my grandpa making cider for us like this and it was delicious
I love love love your channel.
Ruth Ann, thank you for showing us how he pressed apples cider so interesting and awesome. I’m hoping to homemade applesauce and canning soon when my family and I are going to Oak Glen, Ca. They have so much apples and also festival too. 🍎 🍏
That was wonderfully informative and inspiring , thank you for sharing
God is good and your a good worker to use all those gifts your given for your family
My grand mother used to dry apple rings up over her regular kitchen. It was up a set of steps and they would hang and dry that way That was long before freezers. I am 83 years old and she died when I was 12. They had a big farm with lots of apple and pear trees Love you videos A beautiful fall day in New Brunswick Canada
Great apple press! Always looking for ways to preserve apples.
Oh my goodness, this video was so fun and informative. Thank you so much for sharing. GOD bless
Hi Ruthanne, was just going to comment that you sounded sick. As we'd say in Australia, a bit crook. Hope you're feeling better soon. Love your content, you have a beautiful family. Thankyou for your content. Will the food mill work for tomatoes also?
It does, I use one for mine 😊
I have one of those vacuum sealers! And seal my cinnamon sugar apple slices too!.great snacks! Love your channel!
Thanks again Ruth Ann. I love you videos too. I love learning from someone else that shares the same things that I do. I don't like things that have been sprayed or had it's healthy benefits killed. I pray that you have a wonderful day sister in The Lord.
thank you for taking us to the cider mill1 my parents used to take me to one, it was a fall adventure every year. I took my sons as well, but sadly, it was gone before the grandkiddies got here.
GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME!!
