Hey man, I just bought an 89 f-150 and it needs a lot of TLC, but runs decently. Only thing is, mechanically, it sometimes shuts off when I put it in park. I don’t know if it’s a fuel pump issue or what, but it sounds like it. Was it costly to fix yourself?
@@Warvvolf I had replaced the fuel pump, thinking it was that. Everything underneath was so dirty and a little rusted together. So, it took me awhile with limited tools. Turns out it was the fuel filter that was the issue, which was pretty simple and cheap to replace
If you look one is long and curved the other is short the rear tank is short pump I had so many headaches I decided to just go with one tank and bypass. The selector valve so I’m running straight from front tank to high pressure pump in Frame rail you might want to check your high-pressure pump as well.
@@bentframegarageI’m on my girls phone but im gonna end up doing the same thing just running that line through the floor and puttimg an actual valve on the floor behind the seat for the rear tank.
@@madisonnorred7619 I can post a video of my 6an setup you can get a kit on Amazon like $70 The have shutoff valves and splitters sky’s the limit you might have to piece it together but it’s pretty easy

Crossflow issues
i replaced both fuel pumps and my rear is wrong. what pump do you have. i have the exact same truck 1990 f150 short wheel base
