    The fact that some of the parents of the boys genuinely blamed Junko herself for what happened to her just makes this case all that more infuriating. Humans really are the closest beings to demons sometimes.

    the sa rate in japan is actually insane

    • @TheBoltMaster456
      @TheBoltMaster456 10 місяців тому +38

      The SA rate in Japan is lower than in most countries today. Anything else you might here is complete and utter misinformation. The only thing that's true about SA in Japan is that SA perpetrators are not punished nearly as harshly in Japan as they are in some other countries in the world, but in terms of actual sex crime rates Japan's are far lower than the majority of the world.

    • @abyss8551
      @abyss8551 9 місяців тому +140

      @@TheBoltMaster456 That's because an overwhelming majority of the SA cases go unnoticed or unreported because of the way Japan handles not only it's law enforcement but the societal norms there too. Your words would have more merit if the case for this type of thing was similar to the US but Japan's justice system is horribly outdated in a lot of areas especially pertaining to juvenile crime rate.
      In America we are literally conditioned and have lived in a country where individualism is promoted a lot and that I our voice will be heard. There is more freedom of expression here and the privileges we have here don't extend to Eastern Asian countries. Korea has this problem as well where societal alienation is very much a big thing and more troublesome than here in the US. In relation to Japan, their culture revolves around a family mentality more than an independent one. Stigma for crime, rumors, association, or any form of omen are seen as very impactful not only to the individual but those relating to the individual. Family honor and reputation are very important in Japan. And being associated with a stigma is ultimately seen as damaging the legacy your family has. So A lot of Japanese citizens endure harsh treatment or unfair conditions more than we do because they don't want to make unnecessarily trouble and see it as sacrificing for the family.
      This is also a term which is called "Kazoku" which is the just the Japanese version of family if you don't believe me. Not to mention, Japan is very traditional in a lot of ways that US has deviated from. Being a housewife in Japan is still seen as the "traditional norm" and expected of women in their country. Feminist/Women right's movement are very lacking compared to our country, so a lot of the speaking about problems that women do today in our country isn't as common in Japan.
      Japan's cultures highly encourage people to avoid confrontation or conflict which leads to a lot of people either ignoring or completely dissociating from troublesome behavior.
      The situation is more complex and stating that it's lower than most countries when a large portion of said crimes go unnoticed or unpunished is a huge lowball to the situation.
      Women are innocent until proven guilty in today's culture of America and if she screams SA, majority of the time even if she never met the dude and she's serious about ruining his life. Not only would his reputation be tarnished but he would need to provide serious substantial evidence to discredit this. The same isn't applicable to Japan because they are less progressively than we are in terms of gender roles and law enforcement. Not that the US law enforcement is that much better but it's definitely a step up for the most part.

      @adamsaints9 Nah, if you actually used your brain, you would actually research instead claiming I'm spouting nonsense. What I said about Japan's culture is true and they are only just now getting into feminist movements as of recently.
      Having different train for women only or cafes only dedicated to allow women because its a norm apparent the men only come their to be creeps or forced to have your camera make a shuttle noise speaks volumes. To foreigners particularly women or partners of those women have mixed reactions about said situations.
      Many men in America have lost their lives because of false or true reports of SA. Not only would you get probably touched in prison because people don't condone that but any other opportunity even after you prove if its false will impact the rest of your life.
      Most men who do SA in Japan likely remain anonymous and don't get called out. Overall a crap situation to be in because dealing with trouble is seen as bad omen apparently.
      What's bs about feminists movements not getting more recognition everyday?
      Sure, there is stuff that needs work and everything isn't perfect for them but let's not act that women don't have significantly more rights than women in Japan and opportunity to persue their career than in Japan.
      From paternity laws being in favor of woman by default on majority of cases to having huge followings on social media's especially now with podcasts being prevalent now then ever.
      Women all the time voice their opinions and complain about Issue either serious or completely nonsensical is doesn't matter.
      Point is they can say it.
      SidenoteJapan's law's are questionable especially pertaining to juvenile delinquency. The amount of bs you can get away because "oh they are just kid" is outrageous.
      Unless you manage to somehow mess with a notable figure if you play it off like you just lounging around without a care in the world you could very well just not get any form of punishment.
      I don't mind someone disagreeing but atleast have the decency to prove me wrong using sources or reasoning of your own instead of claiming I'm spouting horsecrap.

      Hell, God tells us, is a place of “black darkness” (2 Peter 2.17).
      It is a place of “outer darkness” where “weeping and gnashing of teeth” is all that will be heard (Matt. 25.30).
      It is “a lake that burns with fire and sulfur” (Rev. 21.8).
      Hell is a prison of everlasting chains from which there is no hope of release (Jude 6).
      It is a furnace of conscious torment where the fire never goes out (Matt. 13.49-50).
      It is a place of excruciating misery where the worm does not die (Mark 9.47-48).
      Hell is a place of agonizing thirst that can never be quenched (Luke 16.22-24).

    To note, there were mangas that depictes the gory details of what happened to her in heavy, heavy amounts of gore and brutality. These people never got permission, but are theorized to have done it because there's a fetish for this type of stuff called "eroguro". From my knowledge, the family didnt receive anything from the artist, and they were able to basicallt capitalize off of such a tragedy. The fact that you can basically read the very graphic story in a manga, and that it was used to make a buck, is one od the sadest parts of the case".
