- Singing in pubs is a tradition that's been revived over the past years in Cornwall.
In this short film watch The Cape Cornwall Singers as they sing "Cornwall, my home" in The Star, in St Just.

I'm a Scotsman and i work in Somerset. When i was a child my parents relentlessly holidayed in Cornwall.... old style camping... We visited everywhere and it never had the feel of being in England it was more like a completely different place. Similar in many respects to Devon.
My girlfriend is pure Cornish and i wish that some day the Celts can get the recognition they so richly deserve. Mebyon Kernow.
English people are 60% Celtic and 40% Anglo-Saxon, the English have probably more celtic blood in them than many other parts of the UK, Scotland and Ireland have more Scandinavian blood (dna) than the average English person does... Stop with the division (it's communists behaviour, they have nothing else)... Celts BTW are the Bell Beaker Folk R1b just like the Anglo-Saxon are.. Yes dig up the music from the past and keep it alive, it's all our past. Anglo-Celt.... Ps, after 1066 and the century that followed was a Norman conquest where the new landowners took 95% of Anglo-Celt land the Kings of England didn't even start speaking English for about 250-300+ years after that conquest.
Good man, Cornwall is where the love of Britain is ❤❤❤

Ive lived overseas a few years now, and whenever i hear music like this the homesickness can bring me to tears
Just yell jannor you will always hear a Cornish voice yell yeah boy
After watching Doc Martin for years, I’m convinced everyone in Portwenn are either all insane or a bit crazy. Doc Martin was the only normal person of the lot, but in later episodes, I notice a bit of Portwenn craziness in him too!!!
Memory of my loving husband a true Cornishman

This song sounds surprisingly similar to the folk tunes of the Scots-Irish settlers of the Appalachia and Ozark mountains, where my ancestors lived. Similar musical traditions, perhaps?
The Appalachian and Ozark mountains are in the southeastern part of the United States, just to clarify.
Sung our 'local' !
