Great story. I wish they'd bring back this type of television, where people actually used their imaginations to entertain us and make us think.

I saw it when I was young, now it's like I am seeing it for the first time, not to mention there was no widescreen tv by me just 4:3. Though there were widescreen TV's made as early as 1990, I doubt they were transmitted as such. This truly is from the days when TV had quality programs. Most kids today wouldn't believe it was free too.

SAD FACT about human nature. 👿The evil within ALL people ~
I don't let the women trick me into having sex with them. I don't allow women to speak to me with fantasy talk compliments.
I am going to search for a women that has the behavior of a Christian Amish women that is physically responsible and spiritually mature.
Women need to understand that the HOLY BIBLE has the Ten Commandments from GOD, they are NOT the Ten Suggestions !
The HOLY BIBLE explains that there are spiritual people of GOD and there are spiritual people of the Devil.
Do many people know which one they are ?
Women in the USA have been secretly weaponized against men starting in the late 1920's with an addition to the U.S. Constitution. The 19th Amendment.
There is an interesting book I read in the late 1990's titled, 'THE SERPENT SEED" an interpretation about the book of Genesis in the HOLY BIBLE about Eve having sex with the fallen angel Satan.
Watch the 1975 movie called 'THE WICKER MAN' scene where the police officer walks into the graveyard.
Angels cannot have sex because they are spirit beings, but is it possible that a fallen angel can have sex with a human women if the fallen angel enters an animal such as a serpent snake.
The serpent animals had legs at one time in history, but GOD cursed the serpent to crawl on it's stomach by removing it's legs because it tempted Eve to sin as written in the book of Genesis.
How did Adam and Eve know they were naked ?
Satan (speaking through the serpent) explained to them how to use the penis of Adam and vagina of Eve for sexual intercourse.
The Satan serpent was in a tree and it's possible that the "fruit" that Eve and Adam "eat" was actually the sperm from the sex organ of the serpent entering the mouth & anus of Adam and the mouth and vagina of Eve.
After that happened Adam and Eve inherited Satan's evil, sinful nature.
Their bodies changed drastically after they "eat the forbidden fruit" offered by the serpent to age as time went by year after year and got sick. Then also their body parts broke down and they eventually died.
Ever since their sin in the Garden of Eden all people on Earth have inherited the Satan flesh nature.
Look at the sperm cells of men. The sperm cells look like small little snakes (serpents) !
The HOLY BIBLE says, "Flesh and blood will not inherit the Kingdom of GOD."
This is why we must be born again.... born again spiritually, because our Satan flesh nature bodies will not be allowed in Heaven to be with GOD.
All people have inherited the Satan flesh nature from Adam and Eve because they listed to the lies of the fallen angel Satan.
The LORD GOD KING JESUS will give born again Christians new bodies.
      "Long live the new flesh."
      ~ Quote, 1983 'VIDEODROME'
It is interesting that a dragon is the main mascot of Communist China and is honored and worshiped by the Roman Catholic Vatican church in Rome, Italy.
Read what the dragon (serpent) represents in the book of Revelation in the HOLY BIBLE. It represents the evil fallen angel Satan.
Anton LaVey was right about that the denominational "church" pastors are greedy corrupt modern day Pharisees, but Anton was wrong believing that the HOLY BIBLE was not historical. All people have inherited the Satan flesh nature from Adam and Eve when they both listened to the lies of the evil fallen angle Lucifer (Satan) .
Four tests to determine if the HOLY BIBLE is historically accurate...
If any document (book) that claims to be giving me accurate historical information, I am a skeptic, not a cynic, but a skeptic. That is why I have four tests I consistently use on any document that claims to be giving me accurate historical information.
      My four test are:
      1) Literary Style.
      2) Internal Consistency.
      3) Archaeological Evidence.
      4) Manuscript Evidence.
So, any book that claims to be historical, I pass through those four tests in order to determine historical reliability. If you don't like my tests come up with your own tests to determine historical facts. When you read the Holy Bible you need to read in context and respect literary style. The Holy Bible is a selective account of how God has worked in human history.
The most accurate HOLY BIBLE is the Geneva 1599 and KJV 1611 AV version. The other Bible versions come from the corrupted manuscripts of Alexandria Egypt.

I bet you have never seen Syfys’ Channel Zero seasons lol, think you are so smart. I bet you have not seen the Exorcist show. The reboot of the OL and TZ and Tales from the crypt were not very good. American Horror Story was better than this. The Strain and Bates Motel and adventures of Sabrina were great.

This was a terrific story! I really liked how the alien species actually shows a sense of morality and empathy. They were doing horrible harm to others, without knowing. But when they found out, they stopped what they were doing and corrected their mistake. And hopefully will be more careful in future. But I also liked how the protagonist learned what a lot of us have learned in real life---that our problems are not as big as we thought. Like the narrator says, be grateful for what you have, because it can all slip away.
I miss entertainment like this. I wish that today we could have tv programs and movies like this, where the writers and creators actually use their imagination to tell a good story. Stories like this, like the old black and white Twilight Zone and the Outer Limits not only entertained, but often made us think about things----and maybe, made us appreciate what we have just a little bit more.
Modern tv should just re-run programs like this. They would end up with far better ratings than they get with the garbage they have been producing in the last ten years in both movies and tv.

This was one of the better episodes. I can see how the time slips freaked Trevor out. I'm glad, that in 1990, his wife showed him the video her 2nd husband and her had taken, and then hypnotized Trevor to get into his subconscious mind and determine what was really happening. I liked the ending in that he came back to his wife in 1949.

From the modern OUTER LIMITS, this has to be one of, if not my fav! Multiple messages given in this one. But one in particular which usually pops up in many OT eps as well as eps from other shows of its kind. It encourages everyone to appreciate and cherish the loved ones around us and the things we possess while we have them and not to focus on the things we don't have as necessarily important. If it's material, it can easily be lost, including family and friends. And as material beings, our existence is linear, meaning we do have an end. So it behooves us to spend it as wisely as possible. Excellent story!!

slimdude....Yes, I agree. I think that I read that one of the writers of this series had been in a German concentration camp, or maybe just a regular POW camp, in WWll. That would explain the Human interest aspect of the episodes and the narration at the end of each one.

That record came out in 1975 and by 1980 Disco was pretty much older. Also, if his wife was 60 years old in 1990, that meant she was just 19 in 1949. She looked much older than a 19 year old to me.
