I tried this recipe today and guys you can blindly trust it coz it was that hit....Cookies and spread both were so tasty I can't wait to make it again. Thank you for your recipe❤❤❤
I tried this recipe.. first of all the difficulty I faced was my dough was crumbly, very dry.. in my opinion 2 cups of wheat flour was quite enough , 2 and half cups made the dough dry Secondly, taste was not closer to Lotus biscuits, Do tell me someone else who tried .. ( May be I am not right ).
Hi There, 😊 Biscoff cookies are indeed a type of speculoos cookies, and their distinctive flavor primarily comes from the delightful cinnamon spice. These cookies are renowned for their unique taste and satisfying crunchy texture. In my take on the recipe, I've introduced a special twist by incorporating ginger, cloves, and nutmeg. These additional spices add a wonderful depth of flavor while still preserving the delightful essence of the classic Biscoff cookies. The result is a truly unique and delicious treat that pays homage to the beloved original.😊
According to the tutorial biscoff lotus cookies last 10 to 15 days in airtight container Biscoff lotus spread one week refrigerated when evaporated milk is used Less time if whole milk is used
Hi Ganesh, Corn starch is a very fine, powdery substance, similar to talcum powder. It has a smooth texture and is often used as a thickening agent in recipes. Corn flour, when referred to as finely ground cornmeal, has a slightly coarser texture compared to corn starch and is granular in nature. ** Note : In some countries, like the United Kingdom & India corn flour is synonymous with corn starch.
Thank you so much for your kind words! We truly appreciate your support and recognition. Your encouragement motivates us to keep creating content that you enjoy. Thanks again for being a part of our community! 😊🙏
It's a great recipe my friend, I loved both recipes because they look very delicious but what kind of flour is this ? Is it bread flour ? Please answer ! If we use evaporated milk do we have to mix it with water or do we have to use it as it is ? Thanks for sharing ! Congratulations ! Have a blessed and a happy week !❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
Hi, Thank you for your lovely comment! I'm glad you enjoyed the recipes.I Have used Whole wheat flour in this recipe, Whole wheat flour retains all parts of the wheat grain, making it higher in fiber, vitamins, and minerals but giving it a slightly denser texture and nuttier flavor. And when using evaporated milk, no need to mix it with water, you can use it as it is. Wishing you a blessed and happy week too! ❤️💯"
Thank you so much. I couldn't find Lotus Biscoff cookies anywhere. I ended up buying something else, but now I can make them and the spread!! Again thanks!!
This recipe is not the recipe for Lotus Biscoff Cookies, because the original Lotus Biscoff ingredients are different, namely Lotus Biscoff ingredients are: wheat flour, sugar, vegetable oils, candy syrup (from beet sugar), raising agent, soya flour, salt, cinnamon (the ingredients are copied from Biscoff cookies). As you can see there are no cloves , ginger, nutmeg, vanilla and milk. Syrup instead of caster sugar. The Lotus Biscoff recipe was created by Biscoff Company founder in 1932 in Belgium. BISCOFF was a BIScuit served with COFFee. In Wikipedia (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Speculoos) the explanation is given that cookies in Belgium (Speculoos) and in the Netherlands (Speculaas) were different. Belgian Speculoos includes fewer spices than Dutch Speculaas, as the spices were much more expensive to import to Belgium than to the Netherlands a century ago. MyLockdownRasoi gave here the Dutch speculaas recipe, which is very, very tasty, but it is not an original Biscoff. Actually it is Dutch Speculaas! Still thanks for sharing Speculaas recipe😺
Hi ,I like all homemade recipes of yours ,it is really like a learning process of market recipes at home thanks for sharing such recipes, can we use ghee in place of butter, please reply, cause I cook such recipes for prasadam for mandir ,for that home made stuff is required ,so please do reply, thank you again
Thank you so much for your kind words and appreciation! We're thrilled that you enjoy our homemade recipes as a learning process. Yes, absolutely, you can use ghee in place of butter in most of our recipes. Ghee adds a wonderful flavor and richness to the dishes, making it a great choice for prasadam for the mandir. Just keep in mind that ghee has a slightly different taste and consistency compared to butter, so it may alter the final flavor of the dish slightly, but it will still be delicious! Happy cooking and may your prasadam offerings bring joy to all! 🙏🌟
Thank you for the wonderful recipe! I wish to try sometime. 3 things: 1. Where do I find that Lotus cookie stamp? 2. What is evaporated milk? 3. Can we make the spread with Parle G too? I mean will it b a good make do? Will await your reply! TIA😊
