    I tried this recipe..
    first of all the difficulty I faced was my dough was crumbly, very dry.. in my opinion 2 cups of wheat flour was quite enough , 2 and half cups made the dough dry
    Secondly, taste was not closer to Lotus biscuits, Do tell me someone else who tried .. ( May be I am not right ).

    Biscoff cookies only has cinnamon. I think you are making speculoos cookies.

      Corn starch is a very fine, powdery substance, similar to talcum powder. It has a smooth texture and is often used as a thickening agent in recipes.
      Corn flour, when referred to as finely ground cornmeal, has a slightly coarser texture compared to corn starch and is granular in nature.
      ** Note : In some countries, like the United Kingdom & India corn flour is synonymous with corn starch.

    It's a great recipe my friend, I loved both recipes because they look very delicious but what kind of flour is this ? Is it bread flour ? Please answer ! I'm glad you enjoyed the recipes.I Have used Whole wheat flour in this recipe, Whole wheat flour retains all parts of the wheat grain, making it higher in fiber, vitamins, and minerals but giving it a slightly denser texture and nuttier flavor. And when using evaporated milk, no need to mix it with water, you can use it as it is. Wishing you a blessed and happy week too! ❤️💯"

    This recipe is not the recipe for Lotus Biscoff Cookies, because the original Lotus Biscoff ingredients are different, namely Lotus Biscoff ingredients are: wheat flour, sugar, vegetable oils, candy syrup (from beet sugar), raising agent, soya flour, salt, cinnamon (the ingredients are copied from Biscoff cookies). As you can see there are no cloves , ginger, nutmeg, vanilla and milk. Syrup instead of caster sugar. The Lotus Biscoff recipe was created by Biscoff Company founder in 1932 in Belgium. BISCOFF was a BIScuit served with COFFee. In Wikipedia (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Speculoos) the explanation is given that cookies in Belgium (Speculoos) and in the Netherlands (Speculaas) were different. Belgian Speculoos includes fewer spices than Dutch Speculaas, as the spices were much more expensive to import to Belgium than to the Netherlands a century ago. MyLockdownRasoi gave here the Dutch speculaas recipe, which is very, very tasty, but it is not an original Biscoff. Actually it is Dutch Speculaas! Still thanks for sharing Speculaas recipe😺
