- Wishing you all a very Happy New Year, we are pleased to offer this video from the GAC 150th Anniversary Battle of Gettysburg reenactment of July 2013: Stephen Foster's immortal "Old Folks at Home" - aka "Suwannee River".
The way y'all guys sing and play......makes tears roll from my eyes....im a Confederate guy till i die....and all Southern Pride and feelings y'all bring with every song played and sung out.

I used to play piano in the old pubs in England , so many of these songs were loved and requested , we sang the roof off to these. thank you guys.
I learned these great old tunes in the East End pubs. The old timers knew all the words and sang along with the piano. No matter where you are in the world, you can't keep a good tune down!
I grew up on that river. I miss it.
Hats off to the lads who keep the ancient folk songs going. Love from the Old Country.

Used to sing this when I was a kid at the family Reunions in East Texas. The jaw bone was played by my Grand Uncle. Brought back some fond memories. Thank you.

Stephen Foster is from Pittsburgh and buried in a cemetery in my neighbor hood Lawrenceville Allegheny cemetery
Pittsburgh removed Steven Foster Memorial, because they said his songs were racist, though he wrote for both North and South! Lake City Florida is the home of the Steven Foster Museum, though he never set foot in Florida.
Another brilliant song played so well. My mother sang a lot of the songs that you perform so wonderfully, including this one. They bring back lots of childhood memories and I'm rediscovering them again with your recordings. Thank you so much for your beautiful music - these songs are also history lessons that bring the past back to life so very vividly, and that (along with their musical brilliance) is why my mother loved them.

Well, we could, but we're gettin' kind of... old. If someone in Europe could put together a tour in the next year or so (and figure a way to pay our expenses), we might be able to pull it off. Otherwise... probably not.

I am, the first nation conquered by the global American empire was the south. As the rest of the anglosohere and even western Europe has fallen to, I can comiserate with the conquered southerners. Playing the “bones”. Traditionally used rib bones for “clackers” as well.
