- Vehicle problems NEVER happen at convenient times. How to replace a water pump on a 2004 Chevy Suburban. It's actually quick, easy and straight forward. Anyone can do this. Then because my suburban has 375,000 miles on it, I'm not going for the OEM high priced parts. Autozone offers parts with lifetime warranty so good enough for me...
I'm out in Idaho in the snow and found that my water pump was leaking. Thanks to your video I'm going to be able to fix it myself! Awesome job!
Not fun having to work on cars in the winters...hats off to you. Hope it was fairly painless for you. Stay warm
I just finished my project thanks to your vid.
Awesome.. hopefully it went smoothly
Very good video today I replaced water pump on my suburban did everything as you said thank you 👍👍
Thank you.. glad it was of use…
I appreciate the video, going to change out my 03 avalanche pump shortly..
Your American cars are so easy to work on, that was so easy to replace.
There is certainly more room than the newer/smaller vehicles...
Excellent video thank you for making!
Thank you…. Glad the video was helpful…
Excellent video sir. Thank you!
Thanks for letting me know and glad it may have been of use
The torque is 37 ft lbs for the idler pulley bolts, 11 ft lbs for the thermostat bolts, and water pump bolts are 11 ft lbs first pass followed by 22 ft lbs second pass.
Thank you so much for this video
Glad it was helpful
You made that look easy. Thanks!
That’s a compliment… thank you. Hope it went well or goes well for you

great video, whats the best way to go about getting all the air out of the system after you refill it?
Did you say 11 ft. lbs. or should this be 11 in. lbs. ?? to torque the bolts.
What type of radiator fluid did you use. Funny enough I'm always recommended the orange fluid by stores but when I see videos of repairs on my 04 Suburban the fluids always green. Confusing....
Honestly, I don't believe it truly makes a big difference. People are going to "sell" the product that makes the most profit. I'm not particular and I don't really look at the price. I merely prefer a premix solution and don't bother with the color. With that said, it seems that my foreign vehicles tend to have orange whereas my Chevy tends to always be green..
What does it means when you smell antifreeze coming for the ac vent and seeing it as well
I’m not completely sure, but in talking with a friend, it sounds as though your heater matrix is leaking/bad
Heater core leaking in dashboard.
What does it mean with or without A/C?
Not sure I understand your question?
