- Today we have a look at which reel is the best for under R2000🤙🏻
We could talk for hours on end about them, but that might be boring… so here is a quick break down on each reel, and you can decide which one is best for YOU😉
The 4 reels in question:
-Daiwa Laguna 5BI-5000
-Penn Pursuit IV 6000
-Rovex Big Boss III 6000
-Okuma Cedros CJ-10 000
Let us have your thoughts and comments👊🏻 - Спорт
Awesome video guys. Got myself 2 of the Cedros reels, fantastic reels. Okuma have really stepped up their game bigtime in the market with their rods n reels. Imo best value for money
They really are great reels for the price, hands down🤙🏻
Been fishing with a CEDROS for about 6 months now. Gotto tell you that reel is really good. I actually prefer it over my Daiwa BG 6500. I've paired it with a 14'6 Assassin Blue FISH Ltd edition and that sinker goes far if need be. I would definitely recommend it 👌
100% it’s a great reel, and very good value for money🤙🏻
Great prices on those reels the laguna is my next reel. Thanks for all yours guys info and videos. Be safe and God bless 🙏
Only a pleasure- thanks for all the likes and comments🤙🏻
Reel informative and interesting again. Thank you. 😊
So glad you enjoyed it!!🎣
Good presentation. If I could just make one comment it would be great if you could include things like line capacity and drag force comparison. It would add so much more info. This is not a negative comment but I have seen some 4000 size reels that equal some 5500 reels in capacity. So capacity and drag comparison would help a lot in making a decision. Thanks for all your efforts. In being new to E.L I find your videos very helpful
Thanks for the comment, and your points are noted🤙🏻
I think we could talk for at least 20 minutes on each reel here, but that wasn’t the point of this one🎣
We are definitely doing more in depth reel break downs in the near future, we have lots of videos to get through💪🏻
But leave some suggestions, and we can add them to our list👍🏻
Morning. I hope you guys are getting ready for your next adventure. Just a quick question on the bg 8000 drag sound. Some how the sound of my drag is fading. Its getting softer. Anything that i can do or replace on it. Cheers have a awesome day guys
That’s a common issue with the BG, it gets very silent over time and eventually doesn’t go “clickity click”🤣
If you check the metal clicker on the spring inside the spool, it may not be making contact or the spring has softened- just check it out🤙🏻
Great presentation. Thanks
Glad you enjoyed it, FISHO.
Have you watched the latest one on the Penn Battle III?
Yes, also great presentation.
Ive always found it a bit odd that Daiwa and Shimano reels in this price range aren’t really up to scratch for rock and surf, arguably being the 2 top brands (sorry Penn guys😂)
Hmmmm, you’re killing the Penn fans (me being one of them🤣).
But yes, their top spec stuff is next level, but at this price point they are lacking the punch that other brands offer🤙🏻
Awesome video! For the shimano fans, what do you think of the shimano nexave 6000 fe?//////
It’s a really good reel for the money🤙🏻🎣
What about a Cedros vs Salina? Interested in a Salina but also interested in the Cedros because of the price haha. So many choices and things to factor for.
They’re quite far off in price point…
BUUUT, I promise you, for the extra bucks… go Salina!!!
We grabbing one next week🤙🏻🥰
@@untraceablefishing Can't wait for that hands on review haha. Here in Australia, The 14K Cedros is about $240 AUD while the 14K Salina is $290. For me, it was like an extra $50 AUD just to get up to the next level, so in my head, makes sense. Although I haven't exactly done a 1:1 comparison yet 😄
@@plasmoske we also can’t wait- should have her early this week, and out on the water!
On the rovex 8000 and cedrose 14000 what Lb line would u recoment to ensure u have enough line aswell as enough strength as I have both those reels paired with my okuma makaira 14ft6 6-8oz. Mainly bought it for Sandies and small sharks, so what reel and pound line would work better? Thanks ❤
Hey Fisho
We currently use 50lb Boss Braid on our 14000 Salina.
It gives more than enough line for smaller non eds. I would say you can go 40lb, but prefer the slightly stronger strength of the 50🤙🏻🎣
@untraceablefishing that's for the advice really do appreciate it. Will quickly go order myself some 50lb and see how much I can fit on on my cedros. How much line would u recommend on the reel for sandies and rays
Hi, is the knob removable for okuma cedros cj-8000? Thank you.
Good morning Fisho- unfortunately not, it would probably need to be drilled out.
Probably better to purchase a separate handle👍🏻
Please do under 1k for scratching and light fishing a shad now and then
Awesome- will add to the list and get it done🤙🏻
Id also love for you to do a video with a 1k price tag please
@@laaikakhan4798 no problem at all🤙🏻
What is your opinion on the metaloid 65 on a euphoria 4-6 oz
Metaloid is great, really an awesome reel for the price.
The euphoria is an unbelievable rod- so light and capable- you won’t be sorry buying!
Go check Bilimoria website- best prices in the country guaranteed🤙🏻
And the metaloid vs the selina ?
@@divanfourie1374 Salina all the way💪🏻
And size you recommend
@@divanfourie1374 depends on what you’re targeting.
10k for edibles
14k for non eds
I'm looking to buy the big boss from bilmoria and deliver it to cape town, are they reliable?
For the price- amazing reels!!!
You won’t go wrong
Why review reels that you have never used, or/and used other online reviews
I guess it’s a fair point…
However, it is our opinion after researching the best reels in this price point. We had no need to watch/check other reviews.
We do the research, and offer our opinions🎣
