I'm looking at it right now, there's also another "stair" below it , it's base starts at the shore. It almost looks like two flights of stairs. There are several bases to the west, judging by the scale that entrance must be at least 2 stories high.

      I agree.
The folds may be seasonal, but I think they have formed over 100,000s years with extremely slow movement taking place at different speeds under subsequent Ice Age conditions & then warming.
The very slow movement created the folds due to pressure changing of 1000s tons of ice are exposed to different factors acting on its movement.

About the ship: there have been many instances, for many reasons, of ship abandonment and the ships were seaworthy.
This might be the case for that ship. The currents brought the ship to the antarctic, and a strong storm scuttled the ship on land.
After a long period of time I've had built up on the ship.
It might prove profitable to explore and maybe salvaging this ship.

  • @lornalong6468
    @lornalong6468 Рік тому +2

If you look at other areas in this video you will see a 'folding effect' in the ice/glaciers elsewhere too.
Glaciers & ice are not simply rigid. There are massive forces at play beneath their surface and throughout the mass of ice (their depth & width).
When ice meets particular conditions the forces exerted on it - not to mention seasons & temperature changes as well) - cause it to behave a little like plastic or heated metal at times. It has a sort of malleable character.
Imagine 100,000s tons of ice 'flowing' slowly over millennia towards the sea. It flows over uneven rocks and sometimes needs to squash itself through narrower portions of the landscape.
In the process the landscape is sculptured by the ice (as with the Norwegian Fjords way back in time) AND the glacier gets 'reconstituted' by slowly shifting along & accommodating massive pressure that is not consistent or evenly distributed throughout the entire mass.
Portions may move more quickly - closer to the earth where underground rock temperatures may be warmer; temperatures becoming warmer in summer which affect the surface more; the presence of water anywhere which is typically localised to lower lying portions of the landscape & act as a kind of 'lubricant' for the ice mass to 'glide'.
This all happens really really slowly but at uneven speeds, causing cracks, but also folds across the ice mass depending on the specific conditions.
At the entrance to that cave the temperature exuding from the cave is very likely 'warmer' than the surrounding ice mass. Therefore it behaves slightly differently to the ice mass 100m or so to either side.
If you look at the ice cave entrance 'steps', those massive 'folds' look more 'maleable' than the rest of the ice sheet to either side, but you can still see 'folds' in the ice sheet extending sideways from the 'step feature' as well.
It's a natural formation laid down over millennia.

Last person to truly explore the Antarctic before they made an international treaty about it, and essentially said “nothing to see here”.
Well he said in an interview that there is land beyond the South Pole, with vast resources.
And it was found written in his journal that he flew a squadron of planes through a wide cave he found there, and the ice actually gave way to trees 🌲 and once he was out of the cave, there was a crystal city and an advanced race of people there 100s of years beyond our technology. Whether it was inside the earth, or beyond the firmament that has yet to be fully understood.

no because according to the report he didn't even realize until it was obvious, from your perspective, you would still be flying forward but gravity switched, from the outsider's perspective you were flying in a straight line and eventually started curving downward, the cave system leads straight down into the Earth, vertically before once again standing or flying parallel to how you would on the surface

The younger dryas impact theory or maybe a pole shift caused the youger sryas but that changed the tilt of the earth hence the seasons
