I am 37 into pitty and guaranteed I love firefly want to pull her but I don't have Ruan mei I also have guaranteed lightcone on the lightcone banner around 20 pulls What should be the order of pulling I am free to play and have 40 pulls saved after the 37 pitty
Its worth noting that this MoC heavily buffs firefly, so the amount you are losing from not using ruan mei is significantly smaller than it would be in another MoC. The extra turns from trotters supplement for not having the ruan mei's weakness break efficiency buff, and the speed you are missing from her
On top of the fact the boss enemy used for this showcase is the enemy designed to be countered by Firefly, in a similar fashion to how Black Swan was the direct counter to "Something Unto Death" when they were released.
@xfayrin8977 BS and dot as a whole only helped break teammates out faster from death too, while this trio boss takes 1.5× damage when weakness broken, definitely catered heavily to make FF look wayyyy better than she will br
@@wolfVFV While that may help, like if you were to use Acheron for brute forcing it, mechanically you want to be breaking them constantly, and Fire is the only weakness that they all share. Other units with Blast damage can put in solid work here for sure but you also need to be able to deal with the trotter as well. First side is carried by Boothill, second side is carried by Firefly. They just build it that way.
One thing to keep in mind is that realistically, Firefly shouldn't worry about being put to sleep by that enemy since all our rolls would be going to Effect Res anyway.
Boothill doesn't actually need Harmony MC - but will probably want a hyperspeed bronya or a speed tuned bronya + boothill. Firefly absolutely needs HMC though so your team comp will work.

I think I'll pull Firefly first and then spend all I can on Ruan Mei I want both of them, but I always tend to pull pull for characters I liked more in the story, so this is reassuring :D

I feel like it's Kafka/Swan situation. Technically Swan doesn't need Kafka to do her thing, but it's a world of difference when you put these two together.
Having Ruan Mei with Firefly is like extra 3-4 cycles clearance for me, which is insane! Defintely get Ruan Mei with Boothill than getting Firefly without a Ruan Mei 😢, but if you don't have Boothill, get Firefly
I am super excited for Firefly, and I've been saving up all my tickets to get her. Funnily enough, I played when the game first came out and got bored after a couple weeks, but I started playing again a couple months ago because I wanted to make a team with Asta. This team is basically perfect for that, and I feel less annoyed at missing out on Ruan Mei.
btw, enemies often targeting your DPS actually has some specific programming behind that. Every gameplay Path has a specific aggro value they start with that the game uses in it's calculations what party member of the player, they will target. Preservation and Destruction having two of the, if not THE highest aggro values in all of Star Rail. This doesn't mean enemies will always target those Paths of characters if possible, but they do tend to favor those Paths of characters than other Paths. Because of that, some people assumed, despite Tingyun being a Harmony character, that she uses the Destruction Path aggro value instead, for main story lore reasons. I have seen zero confirmation on that. Sorry, rambled abit off there, I tend to do that. I'm not assuming you don't know about the Paths having different aggro values, me talking about it is moreso for anyone reading this who may not know. And also I wanted to say what's on my mind
She needs Ruan Mei just as much as a crit based dps needs bronya/sparkle or pre E2Acheron needs two nihility units. Every dps needs supports to do their best damage
Guoba did a team comp comparison with and without Ruan Mei and HTB, and it’s like a 30-50% drop when their not there… Even when your running a hyper carry with a asta, Tingyun and Yukong, compared to bronya-sparkle, the dif isn’t that big, being between 10-20 dif at max (assuming e6 4 star, or above e2, since that’s the most optimal.) and even then, af e0, they should still be around 30% dif from their best teams. Let’s hope that more break-efficient buffers get introduced later, since rn, HTB and Ruan Mei really is firefly’s only good buffers.
I hope we get another Meka unit with different mechanics in the future. At least one more. I don’t expect an entire team but it would be nice. I would love to see a preservation and Abundance Sam unit
One may mention asta and gallaghare are probably e6 Which is very doable for f2p in a few months But if you get just a handful of copys them right now results may differ
I think this will be fun. Firefly is like a one person team. So we can actually put 2 teams into 1. Firefly is her own team and the other 3 members are together as another team☺️☺️
Do you think Guinaifen would be a good replacement for asta, since she helps in breaking bars and also makes the enemies take more damage when she burns them? Also your voice is very soothing and relaxing.
No. Burden doesn’t help FF at all, and the rest of the buffs that she gives are lesser than what Asta can bring and only apply to FF. Also, FF’s SP hungriness is mostly offset by Gallagher’s action advance in his ult
I have a question about Firefly's technique if you could answer Does it make a difference if you let it charge up all the way, or can you fire it off early and get the same damage?
Hopping and pray for the best, gonna pull for both Firefly and Ruan Mei. Plus Firefly's lightcone if possible. Because I will be too broke to get Jade that's for sure.
one that i played not long ago, "Alina of the Arena" - pixelated gameplay? check - turn-based? check - card management? check - positioning management in 2d hexagon? check i played the demo version only, a bit before its launch that had 2 bosses, but it was a good experience in terms of difficult now, i think there is 3-4 combats with bosses and, except the hidden one, each floor you fight one of the two (heavy blade or one big spider, ice mage? or the brute + its summoner, the heavy knight or the jester)
This showcase was needed. So many people are doomposting about needing Ruan Mei, so seeing a 2 cycle with Asta is helps put things in perspective better.

I was already planning on making this team with just Firefly, but seeing them in action here has me really excited for their potential! You are one of my absolute favorite content creators for this game!!!
Seeing FF in action with RM makes me think she should be fine though until a 5 star superbreak/toughness dmg increase support comes out. If you have sparkle, she would be a pretty solid option for e0 FF and bronya would be good for e1+.
It should be noted, that if you are using RuanMei compared to Asta, you can basically go Unga Bunga with Ruan Mei, but need more planning and thoughts when using Asta, you need to time her ults better to fully make use of her speed buffs. Also, team building is slightly different, since now you need way more speed sub rolls (+Asta buff uptime) to get a 5th turn with Firefly ult form.

I mistakenly went up to world 5 on my game and I basically ruined it. I can't beat the first Sunday fight. I have been stuck here for so long. I hope one day they patch it so we can reduce the world level because honestly its not fun not being able to kill anything to be able to farm lol. However The team Moon has here, is the team I am running, just not as broken as her team. Asta and Firefly are amazing, if you have Ruin Mei, she is Best partner with Trailblazer imo. I only spent about £40 on this game since its release, so I Am more or less a F2P player, It took me 80 pulls but I got a copy of Firefly. This was a great guide, earned a sub, and good luck with your pulls folks!
Going all in on Firefly as much as by budget butt can. Missed Ruan Mei the first time so I'll try to pick her up after, but I'm glad she can work with Asta who is still like my favorite support character anyhow.
what is your opinion for a firefly team that subs out Asta and adds Xueyi as a break sub dps. I don't have Ruan Mei and my Asta not built but I built Xueyi for a break team. so what do you think?
It’s not a great idea for a lot of reasons: 1: you lose out on Asta’s buffs and toughness damage from her skill 2: HMC wouldn’t be able to skill due to the amount of skill points FF and Xueyi are consuming, creating energy issues for HMC 3: The enemies you would want to fight are more restricted due to Xueyi being Quantum and not Fire

You are a hero!!! I thought maybe Asta and Penacony set but Breaks aren't effected by Dmg Bonuses Its great to see that Boothill doesn't need HMC and Firefly doesn't need Ruan Mei! Asta howver... Well she proved herself a spot in my dot team.. holy she cleand the toughness bar.. for Fire weak enemies. Way way better than Gui, but Gui can help Acheron now
Thank you for showcasing this! This is pretty much what I wanted because everyone and their cousins were showcasing Firefly with Ruan Mei and I don't have Ruan Mei. Now my question is whether or not I should get E1/E2 before attempting to get Ruan Mei with whatever is left over (if anything is left over). E1 will pretty much make the team much less strained when it comes to using skills and E2 is just massive damage.
With Asta + Messenger set + S5Dx3 + Ruan Mei could you not hit the 280 speed break point and get an extra turn for Firefly ultimate? I think this is only viable with E1S0 Firefly. I would definitely take her E1 before her light cone.
This is possible with FF but you need HMC with FF no matter what, it’s more viable to have HMC with Asta if you want to get to that breakpoint, which is possible with a 155 speed FF with maxed traces on FF and Asta. You also don’t need E1 FF although it would help a lot, you just need to be more conservative with HMC skill usage
Never understood why people force their ideas about Ruan Mei. I used to like Asta on my early trailblazer days and now so happy to unbench her. Some people don’t aim to full star 0 cycle every game mode
I am still on the ship about to fight the second Stellaron. I don't know why, but I am having a good time. FF//HMC//Luocha//Gepard. I was using Asta instead of Gepard, but I was dying too much. I frickin love FF.

Yes I mentioned this in my other showcase as well, this MoC is break-favored. So characters like Boothill/Firefly for example will benefit a lot, I wanted to do a different MoC but unfortunately this is the main one we have :(
i think my favorite video game has got to be Celeste. It's an amazing Precision Platformer with challengjng levels for literally all skillsets, while still pulling off a heartwarming and touching story about mental health. There is always something left to discover, be it gameplay or story, with the Soundtracks by Lena Raine being superb.
Thoughts on using planetary rendezvous LC on Asta and giving DDD to HMC? Is Memories of the past too good on HMC? Is the 24% Dmg increase of Planetary rendezvous not good enough over DDD?

Obviously i don’t have FF, but when i do get her i plan on using Flames Afar i think is what it’s called. It’s the one with SAM on the front. It’s also F2P, you get it from a quest and forgotten hall. It minimizes self damage which is good for me since im bad at the game and can’t really manage stuff like that.
Super hyped for Firefly next week! Would be nice to get a dupe at least! Too many favorite games, but most are jrpgs esp for the ps1. Always love my jrpgs esp turn based. Suikoden 2 will always be one of my faves aside from the other ps1 games. Smt Nocturne, P5R, SMT Strange Journey, Nocturne and SMTV. Can't wait to play the new contents on the new SMTV Vengeance tomorrow! Double dipping on the game, lol! Good thing HSR doesnt eat up too much time.
With those options. I'd go with FF/sparkle/harmony tb/Gallagher (will get a 4 star selector you can nab him on) or huohuo(should only be needed if you find yourself getting a stupid amount if debuffs). Huohuo has always been enough to get me by any content and energy generation could be useful if FF is coming up short on energy.
Robin is useless for FF, Asta is by far the better option. HuoHuo is fine if you don’t have Gallagher E2, but you get him free from the event rn, and he’s on FF’s banner anyway, so you should have him E2 by now or soon
Will luocha good here in MoC 12 second half , I didn't build Gallagher and I'm low in resources to up him,since the resources will be used for upgrading firefly later
Yes any sustain that can help with skill points should be okay to use :) Gallagher would just help more for Damage output since he inflicts a good amount too but any sustain should be good as long as they help with skill points!
i reaaaally want them to release a Weakness Break centric 5 Star support like Ruan Mei but like a Nihility/(Hopefully also the Physical Destruction char were getting in 2.4 is a Break centric char like Boothill/Firefly!) or a Sustain would be amazing (like Galagher but even better would be great) also I want them to introduce a character that can replace HMC, dont get me wrong i love F2P chars but i do love having Character goals, and 5 stars normally are the goal and HMC does synergize well with Break chars but id love if they added another Support to deal with Super Break like HMC, will be amazing (except 4 stars are OP sometimes yes, but id love if they hurry up and power crept the 4 stars with the 5 stars cause we know they will power creep them eventually its just like when lmao)

Today i logged on, claimed my free pulls and jokingly pulled on firefly since a friend said she had boosted droprates cause fan favourite character lol And then i get her at 5 pity hahahHAHHAAHAHA I was so content on skipping her for RM cause i already got boothill and need ruan mei badly for him but now i have both break dps with no RM and i want to cry.... i played the demo version only, a bit before its launch that had 2 bosses, but it was a good experience in terms of difficult
now, i think there is 3-4 combats with bosses and, except the hidden one, each floor you fight one of the two (heavy blade or one big spider, ice mage? or the brute + its summoner, the heavy knight or the jester)

This showcase was needed. So many people are doomposting about needing Ruan Mei, so seeing a 2 cycle with Asta is helps put things in perspective better.
Thank you so much for this video. I don't have Ruan Mei and there isn't a lot of talk or showcases of Firefly's capabilities without her. I was already planning on making this team with just Firefly, but seeing them in action here has me really excited for their potential! You are one of my absolute favorite content creators for this game!!!
Nah RM just makes FF that much better. The only content I see maybe potential issues is moc12, just do to fights lasting forever.
Seeing FF in action with RM makes me think she should be fine though until a 5 star superbreak/toughness dmg increase support comes out.
If you have sparkle, she would be a pretty solid option for e0 FF and bronya would be good for e1+.
It should be noted, that if you are using RuanMei compared to Asta, you can basically go Unga Bunga with Ruan Mei, but need more planning and thoughts when using Asta, you need to time her ults better to fully make use of her speed buffs. Also, team building is slightly different, since now you need way more speed sub rolls (+Asta buff uptime) to get a 5th turn with Firefly ult form.
Can you try this on other mocs pls? like against Kafka, Aventurine or Sam

I mistakenly went up to world 5 on my game and I basically ruined it. I can't beat the first Sunday fight. I have been stuck here for so long. I hope one day they patch it so we can reduce the world level because honestly its not fun not being able to kill anything to be able to farm lol. However The team Moon has here, is the team I am running, just not as broken as her team. Asta and Firefly are amazing, if you have Ruin Mei, she is Best partner with Trailblazer imo. I only spent about £40 on this game since its release, so I Am more or less a F2P player, It took me 80 pulls but I got a copy of Firefly. This was a great guide, earned a sub, and good luck with your pulls folks!

Going all in on Firefly as much as by budget butt can. Missed Ruan Mei the first time so I'll try to pick her up after, but I'm glad she can work with Asta who is still like my favorite support character anyhow.
what is your opinion for a firefly team that subs out Asta and adds Xueyi as a break sub dps. I don't have Ruan Mei and my Asta not built but I built Xueyi for a break team. so what do you think?
It’s not a great idea for a lot of reasons:
1: you lose out on Asta’s buffs and toughness damage from her skill
2: HMC wouldn’t be able to skill due to the amount of skill points FF and Xueyi are consuming, creating energy issues for HMC
3: The enemies you would want to fight are more restricted due to Xueyi being Quantum and not Fire

Thank you for showcasing this! This is pretty much what I wanted because everyone and their cousins were showcasing Firefly with Ruan Mei and I don't have Ruan Mei. Now my question is whether or not I should get E1/E2 before attempting to get Ruan Mei with whatever is left over (if anything is left over). E1 will pretty much make the team much less strained when it comes to using skills and E2 is just massive damage.
The numbers say get Ruan Mei before any FF vertical investment. She's a massive damage buff for FF, like 35 % compard to Asta.
I would recommend getting Ruan Mei first and then Firefly afterwards personally!

With Asta + Messenger set + S5Dx3 + Ruan Mei could you not hit the 280 speed break point and get an extra turn for Firefly ultimate? I think this is only viable with E1S0 Firefly. I would definitely take her E1 before her light cone.
This is possible with FF but you need HMC with FF no matter what, it’s more viable to have HMC with Asta if you want to get to that breakpoint, which is possible with a 155 speed FF with maxed traces on FF and Asta. You also don’t need E1 FF although it would help a lot, you just need to be more conservative with HMC skill usage

Never understood why people force their ideas about Ruan Mei. I used to like Asta on my early trailblazer days and now so happy to unbench her. Some people don’t aim to full star 0 cycle every game mode
I am still on the ship about to fight the second Stellaron. I don't know why, but I am having a good time. FF//HMC//Luocha//Gepard. I was using Asta instead of Gepard, but I was dying too much. I frickin love FF.

What i loved about this moc is that himeko, trail, mei and galla is a great team for it.

Yes I mentioned this in my other showcase as well, this MoC is break-favored. So characters like Boothill/Firefly for example will benefit a lot, I wanted to do a different MoC but unfortunately this is the main one we have :(

i think my favorite video game has got to be Celeste. It's an amazing Precision Platformer with challengjng levels for literally all skillsets, while still pulling off a heartwarming and touching story about mental health. There is always something left to discover, be it gameplay or story, with the Soundtracks by Lena Raine being superb.

Should atleast run with harmony tb and Gallagher. Gallagher can be obtained from 4 star selector next patch.
Thoughts on using planetary rendezvous LC on Asta and giving DDD to HMC? Is Memories of the past too good on HMC? Is the 24% Dmg increase of Planetary rendezvous not good enough over DDD?

Obviously i don’t have FF, but when i do get her i plan on using Flames Afar i think is what it’s called. It’s the one with SAM on the front. It’s also F2P, you get it from a quest and forgotten hall. It minimizes self damage which is good for me since im bad at the game and can’t really manage stuff like that.

Super hyped for Firefly next week! Would be nice to get a dupe at least! Too many favorite games, but most are jrpgs esp for the ps1. Always love my jrpgs esp turn based. Suikoden 2 will always be one of my faves aside from the other ps1 games. Smt Nocturne, P5R, SMT Strange Journey, Nocturne and SMTV. Can't wait to play the new contents on the new SMTV Vengeance tomorrow! Double dipping on the game, lol! Good thing HSR doesnt eat up too much time.

With those options. I'd go with FF/sparkle/harmony tb/Gallagher (will get a 4 star selector you can nab him on) or huohuo(should only be needed if you find yourself getting a stupid amount if debuffs).
Huohuo has always been enough to get me by any content and energy generation could be useful if FF is coming up short on energy.
Robin is useless for FF, Asta is by far the better option. HuoHuo is fine if you don’t have Gallagher E2, but you get him free from the event rn, and he’s on FF’s banner anyway, so you should have him E2 by now or soon
Can u try e0 s1 firefly,bronya,hmc,and Gallagher and speed tune it to where firefly is faster than bronya?

it doesn't affect firefly damage at all, it's not worth it except for the energy recharge

Yes any sustain that can help with skill points should be okay to use :) Gallagher would just help more for Damage output since he inflicts a good amount too but any sustain should be good as long as they help with skill points!

i reaaaally want them to release a Weakness Break centric 5 Star support like Ruan Mei but like a Nihility/(Hopefully also the Physical Destruction char were getting in 2.4 is a Break centric char like Boothill/Firefly!) or a Sustain would be amazing (like Galagher but even better would be great)
also I want them to introduce a character that can replace HMC, dont get me wrong i love F2P chars but i do love having Character goals, and 5 stars normally are the goal and HMC does synergize well with Break chars but id love if they added another Support to deal with Super Break like HMC, will be amazing
(except 4 stars are OP sometimes yes, but id love if they hurry up and power crept the 4 stars with the 5 stars cause we know they will power creep them eventually its just like when lmao)

Firefly’s break damage doesn’t benefit from DMG % buffs so I would recommend options that’ll boost Asta’s energy regeneration or dance dance dance!

I tried to get ruan mei since the beginning of the patch. Lost my 5050 yesterday to gepard on 78 pity.... Today i logged on, claimed my free pulls and jokingly pulled on firefly since a friend said she had boosted droprates cause fan favourite character lol
And then i get her at 5 pity hahahHAHHAAHAHA
I was so content on skipping her for RM cause i already got boothill and need ruan mei badly for him but now i have both break dps with no RM and i want to cry.... At least i can cope with asta when i build her....
