I don't think this girl is an idol tho there's no dancing even now there's still singers in Korea who do this but they just aren't idols. That's why Korea tends to categorise idols and singers as different. But you might like IU and Akmu they are idols but don't dance much and focus on singing
The band wasn't live and the girl wasn't dancing, stop comparing generations. Nothing was 100% original during those days, just like nothing is 100% original now. Music those days and now are creative and original in their own ways. Lipsync and backsound aren't bad, specially the choreographies that idols made. And this girl wasn't an idol but an actual singer, not very different to actual singers who are not idols and doesn't have to create big performances and choreographies. And fun fact: autotune and stuff already existed when this song was released so she probably used that in the studio version. She still sounding great live, her voice is sweet and raspy, a really good and unique combination.
Honestly I wasn't really excited when I first heard Joy would be doing a remake album instead of one with original songs, but after seeing the final result I couldn't be happier. It actually gave me the opportunity to see the original versions and honestly this is a masterpice. I love how she expresses the lyrics and actually looks happy in the entire performance, also the mensage behind it is reallhy sweet. Joy did an amazing job with this remake, and both versions are amazing.
this is why you shouldn't be mad for remaking a song instead of creating something new. you wouldn't know how much recognition would the original would get. they're truly a gamechanger in the industry.

요즘은 아이돌 노래 대부분 획일화된 느낌!!! 한 10~20퍼정도 겨우 아이돌 노래 아닌 느낌의 노래가 나오는 정도?

주류음악이 아이돌이 된건 맞습니다. 하지만 음악시장 전체 다양성은 비교 불가하게 증가했죠.
어디 음원사이트 인기곡이나 긁어 들으니 그렇게 느껴질뿐 관심을 가지면 정말 많은 뮤지선과 다양한 장르의 음악이 넘쳐납니다.
오히려 지금이 다양성 시대인거 같은데 주류는 아이돌이 맞고 인디 힙합 발라드 등등 메인스트림애서 거리 살짝만 두면 진짜 다양한데
솔직히 tv나 대중적인 플랫폼에서 부각되는 장르가 편중되서 그렇지 그때보다 다양성은 지금이 넘쳐납니다. 찾아 듣기가 조금 어려울뿐이죠
