- Опубліковано 6 жов 2024
- This video is a recording of my live demo at The Gardener's Workshop Open Farm day on June 29 2024. I showed a lively crowd how I design a spiral handtied bouquet. This technique can be used for bridal bouquets or to be placed in a vase.

Thanks so much! Do you make many hand-tied bouquets?
I try but mine done look like that they are straight up and down
@@ellenfrostflowers are you always making an x with stems or stems all going the same
I have been practising all week, really getting there with the turning!
YES! it definitely get's easier with practice!
It is the turning that I find really difficult!
The turning is so tricky! It gets better with practice!
It’s the 1/4 turn that gets me. My brain wants to turn 1/2. I’m going to cut some buckets and sit out back to practice.
Great presentation of how to accomplish a natural gather of flower stems❤
Thanks so much for watching!
Great instruction. Thanks.
Thanks so much! Glad you found it helpful!
One of the best demonstrations of hand tied bouquet!
Thanks so much and I’m looking forward to trying it out tomorrow 😊
THANK YOU! Have you given it a try? it's hard to get started but it gets easier with practice.
This was really helpful as a home gardener getting into flower arranging- thanks!
I'm so glad you found this helpful! Flower arranging is such a fun hobby! Be sure to check my other design videos for beginners.
The content you share is just amazing! I’m very excited to try this.
Let me know how it goes! it's hard when you first get started but it gets easier with practice.
Great video!
Thanks so much for watching! Do you ever make hand-tied bouquets?
@@ellenfrostflowers not yet. I tend to toss my flowers in a vase and eyeball it.
Im growing over 200 rhizomes of variegated Solomon seal
Amazing! They'll spread to so you should have lots to work with!
My farming mentor sent me a box of the good stuff, maybe have 25 plants, excited for them to multiply.
This was so helpful! I would love to know how you end the ribbon on your bouquets when it is not tied in a bow.
I just made a video showing how we finish bouquets. It will be out next week!
Arms down toward hips, tilt bouquet out. 💐
YES!!!!
Thanks for this demonstration. Do you continue to put the stems in the shape of an x and it fills in or the stems are all going the same direction?
yes! Keep the X placement to ensure the bouquet keeps the spiral. If you want to add a couple of stems at the end through the middle- that shouldn't impact the spiral.
@@ellenfrostflowers thank you!!
What do you source/offer in the winter months being in the north, as am I, besides winter greens?
thanks for asking! here is an article about what we do in the winter. We have worked to put together a group of local growers who grow in the winter. Where are you located?
