hey man. You should do more of this style videos where you just wrap up a multiplayer game in a bite size video. Competitive civ is super interesting but those 3-5 hour vods (from you and other creators) is just way to long and yet i'm rarely able to keep up with everything that's going on. 20-40 min videos with commentary would be so much more digestible, and bring competitive civ to a a wider audience. :)
I miss the old Civ multiplayer group: Groove (I know you're on a yacht somewhere sipping some wine and grapes), TaskforceFish, Phillyboy the warmonger, Harambe, Song (before the fall. If you know, you know), General Fox, CanuckSoldier, XTAL, EricTheViking, Apollo, Squeekydoor, Jska, GaelicWarrior, Hannah, Zaozin, Altvillas, Aznacpride, Bladeslinger, Blaze and so many others from pre-2018 Civilization Vi I know some of those still play in CPL and elsewhere, but it's not the same as it once was Glad I found this channel, so much nostalgia from this game Hope Civ Vii hits just as hard as Civ Vi did . . . Without the lobby sim, and without the Discord drama maybe though 🤞
Thank you for your sacrifice noble sir. While this video is of course COMICALLY HUMBLE, it is a shame to see you getting so much shit in your games for bringing the gift of knowledge to the larger Civ community. Personally I don't play competitive, and I sincerely doubt I ever will (I've had enough _competitive experience_ playing Overwatch thank you xD) but I actually really love applying your strategies in co-op lobbies with friends so we can seal-club AIs together better. It ironically spices up the early game quite a bit imo :D
Honestly even though his strategies are very multiplayer focused, the way he explained how gold is the way to enter a positive feedback loop and to really develop your empire, and his general strategic themes work across any modes and even any strategy games.
Basically every one of his strategies that doesn't involve taking advantage of online mode/BBG is applicable to singleplayer. They're very useful even if you aren't a Civ sweat
@@tumescent and using bbg is pretty good in singleplayer, too. ai's use it fine, governor changes are pretty damn fun, balance changes are good. combine with better balanced maps for some pretty op starts and maps.

Love your vids man, I went from being last in all games with friends to consistently being competitive and actually winning. Would you mind making a dedicated guide on culture victory in multiplayer?
This video is incredible! I am a very casual Civ 6 player myself so I can follow the game for the most part, but the story of how this game played out is wonderful!
Dude, that game was insane! Shame they lowered your ELO after that, not many people could fend off multiple attackers, especially in a situation like yours but oh well, rules are rules. Anyways, to summarize, congratulations regardless of the outcome, your actions were very based B)
Should the game award score for lasting in a war against multiple enemies? It feels weird that a lobby can be like "yeah we will fuck this person in particular and make them lose elo"
Especially in a FFA game. I watched the full vod of this game and was very disapointed it's even allowed tbh, I thought it wasn't really fair-play. But oh well! 😂
Reminds me of a guy I used to play Settlers of Catan with, could always somehow manipulate other players to take his ridiculous trades, not pillage him, celebrate his win.. Infuriating! Looking forward to your commentary though, will be a great watch!
