Hoovie is so blessed to have the Car Wizard and Vango to fix his cars. That Maserati is absolutely beautiful now and the van is spectacular. A van that nice is very rare these days. I remember when they were everywhere.

You should cut the front bumper for clearance and get a tube front guard fabbed up to protect the bottom of the bumper. Also, wrapping the fender flares matte black would look tough as well.
The fact Van Gogh didn't try to stick you with the catalytic converter bill really shows what an upstanding shop they are. So many jerks try to stick the customer with that bill, despite the problem being the shop's lack of security precautions.
Covering the cost of a $500 part and an hour of muffler shop labour is very cheap compared to bad press or Tyler not bringing cars there anymore. Situation well handled by Stewart even though its the thieves that is at fault for it.
If he actually is a stand up guy he has garagekeepers insurance like any other reputible shop. What his deductible is remains to be seen. A small deductible can be passed on to the customer. I'm sure Wizzard can advise him on that.
After watching your interactions with Stuart at Van Go for a while, I'm tempted to drive across the country to Wichita just to get my car detailed. His is top shelf professional work.

Exactly what I thought. Nothing organized either state-wide or nation-wide to prevent catalytic converter theft or resale. Here in the bay area it is really bad in San Francisco and the east bay. Someone got shot confronting a theft in progress.

It was fun seeing you hit the back roads of the areas I grew up in. It's pretty crazy to take these cars off road. At least the Maserati! I wouldn't have the balls to take something like that down the back roads.
Last place I worked, they stole the cats from our shop truck parked outside. Our neighbor's Ring cam caught it all, including a close-up of the thief when he walked up to their door to look at the glowing ring. We found our cats for sale on offer up and told the cops. Arrested and convicted.

I totally agree about how the police really need to get more on catalytic converter theft. Someone tried to steal my mom's converter once. She caught him and so he didn't get it but he still made a deep cut that made her vehicle loud and she had to pay to get it fixed.

Between stealing cats and drilling gas tanks, these criminals have gotten way out of control and dangerous. A friend came out to his car, there was a huge puddle of gas under his car, someone drilled his tank and was trying to fill up clear plastic storage bins with gas. They left one and let at least 1/4 tank of gas drain in a covered parking place, with cars side by side. On 4th of July, fireworks everywhere

Hoovie You should of paid for the Cat for the Chevy van instead of letting the Car detailer eat the cost of it. Your car insurance should of covered it. So if you had it parked at Home Depot and the cat got stolen would you have them pay for it?.
Parking your car in a lot is different than leaving it in someone's care, even though cat thieves are the real problem, shops need to have better security or park cars indoors because you cant stop criminals from doing criminal shit
The detailer should have their own insurance to cover it, it's called 'Garage Keeper's Liability' and covers customer vehicles when in their care. Home Depot is different because the car is never handed off into their care.

Hoovie You should of paid for the Cat for the Chevy van instead of letting the Car detailer eat the cost of it. Your car insurance should of covered it. So if you had it parked at Home Depot and the cat got stolen would you have them pay for it?.

Parking your car in a lot is different than leaving it in someone's care, even though cat thieves are the real problem, shops need to have better security or park cars indoors because you cant stop criminals from doing criminal shit
The detailer should have their own insurance to cover it, it's called 'Garage Keeper's Liability' and covers customer vehicles when in their care. Home Depot is different because the car is never handed off into their care.
@@xolotl8860 Well Hoovie should of made a claim on His own insurance. Some workshops have a leave your vehicle at your own risk. For Hoovie to turn around and say that the Detailer had to eat the cost of a new Cat makes Him sound like a ass.
The detailor does great work
