The implausible suspension light was probably from when the front driver's side wheel was off the ground and spinning. It didn't compute because the engineers didn't expect an owner to actually off road the thing.

Having had a luxury vehicle with air suspension, wheels in the air didnt confuse mine at all, ' 08 Mercedes ML.

But in the end it would have been the right thing for tyler to do, as he would have made more than enough back through youtube!
Hoovie is so blessed to have the Car Wizard and Vango to fix his cars. That Maserati is absolutely beautiful now and the van is spectacular. A van that nice is very rare these days. I remember when they were everywhere.
Fredy has spray paint, and that's close enough.
They aren't doing it for free by the way. Even though he is filming the "Before and after" from Vango and he's driving a lot of business to them probably he is still paying the bills.

That car is worth every penny, no matter the history. You revived it and you should be proud of that, together with the WizKid and the man with the missing left ear. That is a perfect family hauler. I find that the history makes it even more fun to own it.

wow. VANGO did a damn good job getting that front bumper looking damn near perfect. to be fair i prob would not have noticed it right away picking it up. id take that over paying 2500 any day
You should cut the front bumper for clearance and get a tube front guard fabbed up to protect the bottom of the bumper. Also, wrapping the fender flares matte black would look tough as well.
I doubt he's going to be offroading it anymore

That Levante is one of the best advertisements for Maserati. Maserati should do an ad showing how much you can throw at a Levante and it still keeps going.
After watching your interactions with Stuart at Van Go for a while, I'm tempted to drive across the country to Wichita just to get my car detailed. His is top shelf professional work.
The fact Van Gogh didn't try to stick you with the catalytic converter bill really shows what an upstanding shop they are. So many jerks try to stick the customer with that bill, despite the problem being the shop's lack of security precautions.
The problem is catalytic converter thieves, not security precautions.

It'd be covered by insurance either way...given it's happened before I'm sure they made sure it was part of their policy.
Covering the cost of a $500 part and an hour of muffler shop labour is very cheap compared to bad press or Tyler not bringing cars there anymore. Situation well handled by Stewart even though its the thieves that is at fault for it.
If he actually is a stand up guy he has garagekeepers insurance like any other reputible shop. What his deductible is remains to be seen. A small deductible can be passed on to the customer. I'm sure Wizzard can advise him on that.

Exactly what I thought. Nothing organized either state-wide or nation-wide to prevent catalytic converter theft or resale. Here in the bay area it is really bad in San Francisco and the east bay. Someone got shot confronting a theft in progress.

Last place I worked, they stole the cats from our shop truck parked outside. Our neighbor's Ring cam caught it all, including a close-up of the thief when he walked up to their door to look at the glowing ring. We found our cats for sale on offer up and told the cops. Arrested and convicted.
Honestly it was worth it! You were the savior of the group! That Maserati was the only one that didn’t run out of gas or get stuck and the comforcers! What a tire! Hahaha
What a great job on the Maserati. I must say the detailer/Bodyshop is amazing. Along with Car Wizard making sure all is well. One thing I would do is to take those stupid stickers off the car !

I’m a UK tow guy and we are forever busy with the CAT thefts, particularly with the Toyota hybrids…. they seem to attract the Magpies for some reason……
Also, we get the M Sport packaged BMW’s, cooking models with badges, better steering wheels….. so, we get a constant stream of broken drivers glass and stolen steering wheel……. it’s an epidemic 😳

Lot of stuff stolen in the European market goes to the baltic states, and from there on to china, among others. Yeah its terrible but we cant do anything about it, it would violate the human rights of the thieves after all...
It was fun seeing you hit the back roads of the areas I grew up in. It's pretty crazy to take these cars off road. At least the Maserati! I wouldn't have the balls to take something like that down the back roads.

After watching Car Trek last night and this today I am blown away by the Maserati. You were far too modest when talking about it. Then to be able to bring it back to that condition afterwards and keep the vehicle, you have my complete respect.
Detailers are absolutely incredible, you'd never know what that car's been through from looking at it. Fantastic job.

Totally agree regarding the catalytic converter thefts.. police don’t care and don’t punish the theives enough. I’m a car dealer in Houston Texas and literally have had over 30 stolen over the past few years

I totally agree about how the police really need to get more on catalytic converter theft. Someone tried to steal my mom's converter once. She caught him and so he didn't get it but he still made a deep cut that made her vehicle loud and she had to pay to get it fixed.

Likely that wasn't the only cat stolen. Vango likely filed an insurance claim for multiple cats. These thieves don't even care about camera's. They know the police can do very little.

I’m sure I’m not the only one that wants to know if the underneath the Metherati was THOROUGHLY cleaned of all that sand. If not, that car will become a rust bucket in very short order. Aside from that, please let Stuart know one of your viewers actually burst out loud with an “OH MY GOD”, when I saw how clean he got that engine bay.

Most cars become classics and go back up in value before I can afford them. A 20 year old car is my price point but most models I want don't make it till then.

The convertors theft is getting bad EVERYwhere. I live in a small down in far southern IL, and there was a state highway department truck parked next to the highway a few months back, the driver had gone for lunch with a couple others on his shift to a local eatery about a mile away. They were gone maybe 25 minutes and came back to the convertor stolen off the state truck which was parked right next to a BUSY highway in broad daylight. The thieves are getting brave.
And… what was the results of the outside stain at the back? 🤔
To me it looked like it was some splashed oil substance and over time the dust collected on it.
As a scientist I would call that "dirt".

I think a full conversion to an off roader might have been fun to do. Rip off all the low bumpers and give it a real lift kit. Maybe weld on a bull bar or two?
Between stealing cats and drilling gas tanks, these criminals have gotten way out of control and dangerous. A friend came out to his car, there was a huge puddle of gas under his car, someone drilled his tank and was trying to fill up clear plastic storage bins with gas. They left one and let at least 1/4 tank of gas drain in a covered parking place, with cars side by side. On 4th of July, fireworks everywhere
We’re going to need active armaments as a theft deterrent component eventually if law enforcement and legislature don’t address this.

Hoovie You should of paid for the Cat for the Chevy van instead of letting the Car detailer eat the cost of it. Your car insurance should of covered it. So if you had it parked at Home Depot and the cat got stolen would you have them pay for it?.

Parking your car in a lot is different than leaving it in someone's care, even though cat thieves are the real problem, shops need to have better security or park cars indoors because you cant stop criminals from doing criminal shit
The detailer should have their own insurance to cover it, it's called 'Garage Keeper's Liability' and covers customer vehicles when in their care. Home Depot is different because the car is never handed off into their care.

Vango's work is just amazing. Absolutely the right call to do the repair, barely noticeable and saved a fortune. Paying for Tyler's CC to be replaced while it would have made a dent in that job's profit I suspect he's more thinking about how much work he gets from Hoovie videos and he wouldn't want to loose Tyler as a customer over that. Surprised Vango's insurance didn't cover it.
