They focus so much on the "behavioral" aspects, but don't spend enough focus on the inner turmoil. It's all about behavior, not enough on the mental and physical symptoms... because there ARE physical symptoms and they are miserable. I grew upnwith the same allergy and it's hell when it's in your system. I hate the idea of any other person having to suffer through that .
If its okay or a comfortable topic to ask about- I'd appreciate knowing more about the symptoms you suffered through!! I'm an adult allergic/reactive to dye [ESPECIALLY red dye 40], and through my entire life its always been miserable. People focus far too much on how /unruly/ it makes /children/, and not how absolutely remorseful, unlivable, and terrifying it is to live with this bodily response and reaction. I feel like I'm on autopiolet-possessed and numbed on an irritated anesthetic from the dentist that won't go away. The most I can just do is watch myself go through whatever action I can hitch for, its awful. Even worse when you've eaten something, only to feel and find far too late that one of these dyes was in it. Thank you so much for making a comment like this, it means the world to me. People speaking from this perspective is so important.
What no one seems to understand is that I don't BAN my child from eating dye, she's AFRAID of eating food with dye since it affects her so dramatically and unexpectedly. She'd turn down a trip to willy wonka's if she knew all the candy available had artificial colour. The inner turmoil was really scary for her at 6 years old.
My son is the same way. Took out red 40 and what a difference! He is only seven and was getting sent to the principal weekly, now not at all. When he eats it, he has severe tantrums, hits, screams mean things, breaks stuff, etc. I can tell if he ate a red candy just from the meltdown he has!
I am allergic to red dye. I didn't know til I was 23 years old and got a red hand stamp and broke out into hives. Finally unlocking the mystery of my skin issues.
Same! A few days ago, I ate a rainbow cake.. AND I BROKE OUT INTO HIVES EVERYWHERE🤠 but I’m only allergic to a certain type of food dye but idk what type so HELPP MEE
I bought a Američan pack of skittles because we don't have white onces. Got a headache and a sore throat after eating them, stick to peanut onces made in Europe
Food dyes and pesticides with psychotropic medications are the cause of all the worlds dis-ease. This is our idea of public health? This is what public education is? I tried to warn family and friends… Thanks for sharing Atheist Individual

And they are now dumping it in San Diego's river. Getting rid of us quick.
Aw man that's awful! I hope the FDA will do something! I mean there's allergy warnings for wheat and nut products why not food dye?!

try again its been ongoing for 15+ years
Some dyes which may change the child’s behavior still are allowed by the EFSA. However, it needs to be declared on the packaging.
Red 40 gives me head tingles and vertigo. I hate artificial dyes.

wow
I'm actually the opposite
Follow the dark money
THEY DON’T CARE !!!
Everyone needs to wake up they put these additives to make us weak and easy to control
Fun fact:
The EFSA also doesn‘t fully care, a few of such additives still are allowed in Europe.
