Everyone always complained that the biggest issue with Warframe is the story. After this quest the story is the biggest compliment I can give to the game
+Godzelda123 DE just needs to add the option to disable your operator from talking in-game, like telling you that avoiding setting off the alarms might make the mission easier.....on SURVIVAL. It's Ordis 2.0
Pro tip, once you've played the 2nd dream quest. 1) Boot up the game. 2) Walk next to the somatic link in your orbiter. 3) Open the menu. 4) Select Codex to teleport to your liset. 5) Close Codex 6) Walk around your ship and do stuff with this music in the background. You're welcome.
+TheThOdOr1s They really should just make it the default background music for the entire orbiter after completing the quest. Currently there isn't any music in the front area of the ship anyway. Maybe make it an optional setting if people really want it that way. Oh and I should add that for step 2 you actually have to walk into the room so that you trigger the music. Teleporting there through the menu won't work.
This is what you are. A tenno. Operator of a Liset. Operator of the Warframes. You hold a divine power, one that only you may wield. The Orokin, a grand, proud race, feared you for simply possessing that power, even though you were but a child. That is the strength of your power. Incredible power. Maybe, it was too strong. The Lotus, your lone carer, put you to sleep, exhibiting your power through a surrogate. Perhaps this wasn't enough. For it was put to sleep - locked in cryopods for many ages, and you with it. After countless time passes, your power is still strong enough to end lives immediately after waking. You expand your arsenal, harness your restrained power through metal suits, that seem to live themselves. You make companions - with other Warframes, with strays from factions, breeding animals, creating sentinels. You protect the system using your power, from threats that would dare to challenge it, to challenge you. But you do this without knowing why you do so, without knowing why you protect, what you help the Lotus for, who you really are. Then one day, you receive a message. Stalker has found the Orokin Moon. You rescue a being from a pod. It wields a great, familiar power. You are re-united with yourself. Your memories return. You are now whole, ready to hone your unshackled power, to utilize this strength only you may wield for the good of this system. This is what you are. You are a guardian of the system, bane of the Grineer, hindrance of the Corpus, exterminator of the Infested, seekers of the Void. You are a Tenno.
When i heard this on the quest, it gave me a chill not only because it was emotinal about the quest, but this made me think about the evolution of warframe, i'm playing since U7, and if you stop to think, of all the evolution, of the entire procedure of the game, since the very beginning until now, the moment when your trueself is revealed, it will give you a chill, make your hearth beats speed up, and probabily pull some tears of your eyes. Thanks DE, for chaning the game, without loosing quality, you deserver much more than a thanks.
+Leonardo Luiz i started in U7 as well. it's been a Wild Ride. with more and more people that'd end up seeing the Quest line from streamers and YT lp's. the Community's only going to grow stronger. the game's got a bright future at this rate.
+Leonardo Luiz I think the reason that this hit everyone so hard was the fact that for months or maybe even years you kinda always wondered, and made theories about what you are. Doing constant missions, and then after all of this time. This is dropped on us, this amazing piece of pure art. And I think the longer you've played, it almost seems a bigger reaction, a deeper connection to the game.
Gosh, this scene was crazy, this entire part of the quest, running for your life, was one of the most serious fights in Warframe ever, and, although simple, one of the more meaningful boss fights, Bravo DE.
testplmnb I'm sorry if I, as some people do, need a little bit of a hint towards when there's been a mechanics change; there was not anything close to that during the questline. I had no idea that I could shoot a fucking laser beam from my hands until halfway into the fight. It's annoying because I guess I wasn't spoonfed information about a brand-new thing that was only there for about 10 minutes.
I fucking fell of the chair whe character creation popped up. After i finished setting everything up, i still had to collect my mind what happened and what is the meaning of life. Literally, that moment left in me "that feeling" when you finish a great game with amazing endig that you have completley not expected. All shall praise Warframe dev team for bringing such feels to the players.
+anh bach I know, i just compared the feeling. Also, do you think that the child character will be playable on next update? Will he\she grow up like kubrows?
+Maras86 ^The child character is already playable. Just press "5". What concerns me the most after this Quest is how Warframes were made. It can move on its own at the last part so does it mean it has its own will?
+ronger97 I had goosebumps from that "Dream", my PC made it sound like someone took off my headphones and whispered straight into my ear, I fookin jumped in my seat.
+Thaloniel I also love how the static happens, then JUST when you think something legit happend to you're PC/console, the voice comes in to catch you off guard
ronger97 yupyup, if not for the fact DE used that trick already in a Balor Fomorian event(sometimes you'd get a lot of red orokin text and static while going back to your landing craft from missions) I'd panic.
+Timothy McDaniel Which speaks volumes about what DE is able to accomplish. They're ambitious. And I hope that ambition pays off and they get the recognition they deseve from the majorpart of the gaming community and industry.
this quest has proven how much of a great team is this dev team .. and how much they truly care about the fans. only a few games invest this much effort into lore or basically into what people really want. this update has to be the best update .. ever. thanks DE .. for the items .. for the quest .. for all the care
I had to experience firsthand the death of my own mother just last year. So when I got to the dialogue between the tenno and the Lotus, and I chose ''...a hand, held in mine aboard the Zariman'', and it immediately let to ''My mother's, I think. We where watching the stars, awaiting the jump to Tau'', I started crying *hard*. Not Halo with Cortana's death, not Mass effect with its character developments, not Destiny with the death of it's hype - freaking _Warframe_ managed to made me cry harder than I've ever cried while playing a game.
WolFaun I know how you feel my father works 2 states away from me and when I heard the lyrics "daddy look what I've made, dads gotta go catch a plane" from when I'm gone by Eminem I shed tears too.
I'm so sorry you lost your mother. I teared up reading your comment. To just even imagine my own mother.. not there. I know I won't be able to handle it. I wish you the best, and hope you're doing well, fellow tenno.
+Stalker sentients fighters are still a bigger pain then you, even after the rework you got, if anything, you are now way more predictable with your telegraphic moves.
3 years. For 3 years we wandered, hunted down for what was hidden within, haunted by revenants of our lost sins. with sword in hand, asking ourselves, "Who are we? What are we?" And then we found ourselves. What is this melancholic joy, this bitter ecstasy, to find that which you had not known was lost? To regain what had been misplaced; your own identity? It is bliss. It is overwhelming. It is a new beginning. Thank you D.E. 3 years well worth waiting.
I kept telling my friends how little I cared about Warframe's story or spoilers, and yet even though I dragged my heels getting to this point, for month after month they never spoiled it for me, I had never even seen them use the power. I have really, really great friends. I still tear up every time I enter the back room to upgrade, and this music plays ever so faintly in the background.
A little bit late to the party but i think i want to add something to praise of the quest. One of the hardest moments for me was when the game changed from Warframe's perspective to Operator's. And here's why: *All this time i was playing as a Warframe. Strong, overpowered, armed to the teeth. I felt no challenge. I felt no fear or worries. Not even death can stop me.* And then... This happens. The person falls out of the capsule. The game goes black. And now you have your camera behind the little man that just woke up. Not just camera... *It's behind his right shoulder.* Just like in any game that wants to indicate that THIS IS YOU. *THIS IS WHAT YOU ARE. THIS - IS YOUR CHARACTER.* This is the moment when i suddenly found myself TERRIFIED. Not just creep'd out, not just worried, *TERRIFIED*. Terrified that now i'm completely *defenseless*. I'm out of my armor, without a weapon. I am no longer the overpowered killing machine that i was literally ALL THIS TIME. I'm just a someone in a thin space-suit that wouldn't stop even a single bullet from lato. One shot and THIS IS IT. No revives, no going back to the liset. I'm straight up gonna die if someone will shoot me right here and right now. This was one of the worst experiences in the whole Warframe history... And yet: it was the best one.
Same I Relied Upon My Excal (he was my starter and had the best armor stats also he was the only one that had a reactor at the time and all my other frames were support frames) I murdered so many things with him it was fitting then I realized it I am the prince then he is my personal knight my blade my guardian it was so FITTING That He Carry Me From The Dream into the waking world so fitting....
Honestly, after completing the Second Dream years ago, it felt superb and emotional that no other game developer than DE had done before. I still come back to this song to this day to celebrate the milestone of the empowering story of the Second Dream. I truly love the song and would recommend showing it to friends.
m striker Just because they require you to pay does not mean AAA games are by definition paid games. Jesus effin Christ, all this stupid shit just because I said DE made Warframe look like a AAA game.
STR33TSofJUST1C3 being AAA doesnt mean good: look at cod or some franchises like them, im just saying that warframe is free, and all that AAA franchises could learn something, im not saying make all games f2p, but at least stop releasing that shitty dlcs you said: a free game looks like an AAA being free doesnt mean worst than AAA, AAA doesnt mean better than other games its like saying, this black guy is as good as a white one
This. This is beautiful. To me, this goes beyond the game. It pierces through the screen and in to the soul. After completing the quest I not only did look back at how far this amazing game has come, I reflected on my life and tears came to my eyes. Thank you Keith for this soundtrack and thank you DE for this beautiful game.
Warframe has gone from a hack and slash grindy game to an absolute masterpiece. Intense story, beautiful soundtracks, touching scenes... Id be lying if i said this game hasnt made me cry in various occasions. Outstanding.
This track really made the game. It shows the heart felt progress and determination you have to have to be playing such a game. More feeling is added and that makes you play more. This is what you are.
I cried so much with the outcome of the Second Dream quest line, i never expected what we were in the game, the whole story line was simply beautiful and having the Lotus show up in person to carry me in her arms made me even more emotive. This music plays in the room we rest on our orbiter, and i just stand there some times keeping my self company with my Warframe and listening to the music. That moment in the cinematic our Warframe breaks the sword piercing through its chest gets me thinking, is our Frame really just an empty vessel we lived a dream through or does it have a hidden continence that zeals for the operator? Another question that intrigues me is, what will be the outcome of the Stalker in the future? He seamed so confused, so lost in a bad dream he couldnt wake up from. Where is his operator? Is there an Operator or has he become one with him? Will he ever be at peace? DE is making an outstanding work with Warframe and we who play in the Beta should be proud we are taking part in the development of both the game and the lore. I feel no regrets for the amounts of money i have already spent with the game as i know its being well invested.
About Warframe being empty vessels I just love hør DE deal with it in the sacrifice. It was something like "the union between Warframe and tenno is not just a mind for a body or the OPPLSNERF powers of the tenno. They are a broken thing taking care of another broken thing"
I Actually almost Cried i was just overwhelmed by this Quest and the ending of this. It was Super Awesome to see Lotus Physically at the end, and also Tenno. who we are for about 3 Years. It rly is like a long Dream, where The player Wakes up to see the real self.
Listening to this song during the second dream gave me the most inexplicable sense of wonder, adventure, and scale. It’s really not just a great song, but was delivered perfectly with great meaning, It is so beautiful and epic, so cinematic.
All the Feels bro, I honestly don't know why i had so many deep emotional feels during this quest. But the music, the quest, the Lore, were all so amazingly beautiful. The music! The music just emphasized how amazing everything was. It was a whole character in itself.
This music, and this quest line in particular, made me flat out cry. No joke. I got to the end of this quest line, heard the haunting notes of this song, and wept from the emotions that it brought forth. It's just that good.
Life is full of mistakes and pitfalls; Corporate greed, self-deteriorating envy, sterile white and gold arrogance, and fleshy all-consuming desires. To feel safe from such fates, we blindly follow the wills of those that accept and care for us, yet even they are far from perfect. And so we feel betrayed with ourselves as the only ones left to blame. Regret remains. Only after we forgive the Despair, Dread, and Hate towards our haunting past selves can we wake up on the inside to reconnect with the inner child that we desperately donned metal suits to protect from pain the whole time.
***** Here is the explanation www.reddit.com/r/Warframe/comments/3vfvxg/a_tenno_left_us/ also, in yesterday's prime time, at the end of the stream, DE made a homenage to him with this music as background
I started playing Warframe in December 21th, 2013.... 2 years of daily playing, 38 warframes, updates, gameplay changes, hundreds of hours farming for stuff, some rants about ocassionall bugs, events, tactical alerts, raids, quests, sorties, ... All for this moment.... TOTALLY WORTH IT. Thank you Digital Extremes.
Warframe. The only game in 10 years to make me cry. I swear, the game is godly. The game is so well developed and it keeps getting better. The game made me cry after my Volt ripped out the War sword and then stalker let go of the Tenno. I love Warframe and I can't wait for more.
I just hope that one day I can get this as a neatly packaged album and listen to it everyday of my life. This makes me so emotional. The last time I felt like this when listening to a game's soundtrack, it was Leaving Earth in Mass Effect 3. I'm such a baby.... but this is beautiful to me.
This really tells us a lot about warframe lore especially about how much we are being given and how you really have to search for the answers through all the different quests until you fully understand and this tune really brings it all out so thank you
so much flash backs even though its just been weeks since it was released... makes me remember when i first played warframe... makes me feel as if i finally met a missing member of the family... the soundtrack has a really huge impact!!!
That moment. That moment was when I lost my mind. In a good way. I always suspected, but this scene was POWERFUL. And the music is perfect accompaniment for it. And now,I often come back to the place where the scene had transpired, just to listen to this song. Nobody can argue the grace, beauty, and majesty of this piece. No right-minded person,at any rate. DE,Keith Power, you knocked it out of the Origin System. Bravo. I sorely hope that one day,I might be able to hear a live performance of many of Warframe's songs,by orchestra.
listening to this makes me think back on how far this game has come from the closed beta mediocre sci fi shooter it started. I friggin love it. It has truly become something special and deserves respect from the entire gaming community for what it's done. With the greatest and most interactive dev team I've seen yet, unlimited story potential, great designs, and absolutely amazing gameplay, this game is just wonderful. I cannot even imagine what this game will become in the future years. I am truly curious and fearful of it, but I still be there for it. Thank you UA-cam channels, Keith Powers, DE and fellow tenno for coming together and making something so amazing.
Best music of the Year, hands down The feel was too much :'( *Spam replay button* Props to you for the music And seriously, DE should have release the game's OST, I'd throw all my plat in it for Lotus sake :x
+Order & Chaos Well, not everyone has Steam acc, so ... *srcsm* :3 Btw, does anyone here's been on the forum ? There's seems be be a major sh*tstorm there atm XD Also, this is now the official music of the Operator room (Forgot how it called :'( )
One of the only games in recent years to truly blow me away with a good mix of gameplay and beautiful soundtrack. But this quest really was the icing on the cake for me. just gives yo a feeling I haven't had since completing Halo 3 way back when
that last part of that quest was the most intense and most happiest moment i have ever experienced by playing a game before. and this music made it perfect.
i'd say the most deep experience was carrying yourself through a bunch of sentient fragments shooting at you. and generally, this soundtrack gives me chills each time i hear it
I was really impressed with how the quest turned out. I didn't expect it to be so well-written. Great job DE, for making something that seems to have put many fans in awe with just how good it is.
Second dream was the most beautiful and touching hour of gaming that I'd ever experienced. Warframe evolved from a really good game into a Triple A game. Thank you DE.
I oftentimes find myself standing in the Operator room, just looking at either the white tendrils, "myself," the pictures of the different focus abilities, or decorating the room with my Ayatan relics just listening to this song.
you know those soothing tracks that play when you start up some MMO, like Tera or something, yeah.. this.. this track tells you that its only just begun...
This has absolutely got to be the best thing I have played in years. I was in the alpha for this game and at the time saw a broken wreck. To to see this game come this far and turn into one of the most compelling and unpredictable stories I have seen in years is simply amazing. In my honest opinion, I have never seen an MMO with a better story
From the first time I heard this song, it was very powerful. And now, after listening to it a thousand more times, I still feel exactly the same as the first time I heard it. An absolutely gorgeous piece of music, to put it as mild as I can. :) Thank you DE for the hard work and care put into making this and thank you +StallordD for posting this.
I spent waaaaay too much time on the costumize screen *just* to listen to this music. And after that roller-coaster quest, I needed it. I love it when games can get this reaction out of me, and last time that happened was years ago. FFX, ZoE and now Warframe.
+Disturbed246810 Hehe, you are more right than you know :) Check out "A Small Measure of Peace" by Han Zimmer--they start off nearly identical. Both are gorgeous songs; we're very lucky to have such a talented composer for Warframe.
It took me some time to truly appreciate the revelation -- or rather the _reminder_ -- that I've been playing an RPG all this time, and now, _only just now,_ do I actually get prompted to make my own character. EVERYTHING was done backwards -- instead of having a character and THEN getting weapons & equipment, _you choose your equipment first,_ and THEN you get introduced to your character. _Warframe_ pulled off a total subversion of almost every RPG convention in that regard, and it caught me totally by surprise. Very pleasant surprise. This moment -- as well as this song -- will surely go down as one of the best experiences I've had in any game.
You can never expect the MMO about space ninjas to bring SO MANY GODDAMN FEELS ;__; Thanks for the upload, StallorD! This is now my favorite song in the whole game, pushing We Are Not Alone to the 2nd place.
This quest was so phenomenal. I played through it just expecting some nice cut scenes (which there are), and maybe a little insight into how the Tenno work. I was completely blown away at the end. Literally stared at my screen agape while the Lotus was explaining things. FANTASTIC job DE, just fantastic.
3 years. For 3 years we wandered, hunted down for what was hidden within us, haunted by the shadow of lost sins. Rediscovering a changed solar system, with sword in hand; but asking ourselves, "Who are we? What are we?" And then we found ourselves. What is this melancholic joy? This bitter ecstasy? To find what we had not known was gone, rediscovering what had been hidden away; our identity. This is a new beginning, this suffocating blissful feeling - Children of the Orokin, cast into a dream, raised aloft as champions, shamed betrayers - to know who you are, for good or ill, after all this time. It is the greatest gift. Thank you D.E. For everything.
This song makes me feel like we came a long way with our warframe, and we finally reach our peak, our true potential and we’re being rewarded for it. And now it’s time to begin a new adventure together side by side.
I cant imagine what it must have felt like for a player who has played warframe from the beginning to have played and completed the second dream quest 2-3 years post launch. This single quest changed everyone’s perspective of the game. As a new comer to warframe in late 2018, i was able to experience this quest only 1-2 weeks into my playthrough, and it STILL hit me that i was playing something special.
I've been playing for just under 3 years. I joined in Update 5, where the only lore we had to was what was on the website. Over those years, very slowly, lore began to trickle in. First, the Fusion Moa event. Then, months later, the Void was introduced in Update 8, our first taste of the fabled Orokin and their technology. The next noteworthy thing, not counting the bits of world building from Sling Stone, was the introduction of the Orokin Derilicts, and their eerie silence. For all that the Orokin could do, something could drive them to abandon their ships. Update 10 also brought the Gradivus Dilemma, our first real look into the tensions between the Grineer and the Corpus. Alad V would make his first appearance in Update 11, our first glimpse of the darker side of the Corpus. Update 13 showed us what was going on outside the watchful view of the Tenno and the Lotus in the form of Dark Sectors. Update 14 gave us our Lisets, and one of the key players of our story, Ordis. It also introduced the Syndicates. For all the killing the Tenno did, there were still those who would help us. Update 14 was also the first time that we heard the word that would, until recently, be shadowed in mystery. The Enigmatic Sentients killed the original Mirage. With Update 15, we finally took to the stars with our Archwings, showing that there's so much more going on in the system than the bloodstained corridors of Corpus Ships, the vast chasms of Grineer bases, or the glittering splendor of the Orokin Towers. Update 16 introduced Simaris, the answer to so many questions. Synthesis imprints echoed the solution to the questions called into the void. Update 17 was our first meeting with the Sentients, as well as our look at the origin of the Lotus, our long time guide, and her relation to the Old War and the Tenno. Then, Update 18 drops, and all of our questions, clues, and theories culminate into a quest that truly shows what it means to be Tenno. And after all that, I'm actually glad that I waited for those 3 long years, and I feel sorry for those who will go on to join us, only to have the answer served to them before the questions are even asked. Bravo, Digital Extremes. Bravo.
DE's first ever Warframe cinematic quest, ultimate discovery, epic music and badass reward... This shit's on every AAA game to date, can't wait to see more of these
Dream not of what you are, but of what you want to be. Theres a hint of hope in this song, its a relief for this part of your journey to end, to be able to rest for now. Soon you'll get back up and continue of course, but for now take some time and rest.
After second Dream you just get an entirely different feel for the game
That's so true. I can't wait to see what else DE has in store for us.
after the second dream quest is respect the hell out of warframe and I haven't stop playing since
KnockFirePCGaming A GODDAMM GOOD LORE IN TWW!
HaxorNovaJR TWW made me crie not going to lie. best storyline I've seen come out of a game in ALONG time
wing cross true, bro
Everyone always complained that the biggest issue with Warframe is the story.
After this quest the story is the biggest compliment I can give to the game
***** Before that quest there was...Natah lot of lore!
See I can pun?
+Godzelda123 My only complain of this game is the grindfest but ONLY that.
Liberty Prime Most RPG's are but I can see what you mean
+Godzelda123 Is that a punnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn. Hm...I will attempt to bypass this fault.
+Godzelda123 DE just needs to add the option to disable your operator from talking in-game, like telling you that avoiding setting off the alarms might make the mission easier.....on SURVIVAL. It's Ordis 2.0
"Now we fight on two fronts, my child. The War without... And the war... Within."
Chills ...
"Dream... Not of what you are... But of who you want to be"
Seriously, that transition was fucking A.
Oh yeah yeah
Exposition much Lotus?
I think the soundtrack of Warframe is one of the most under appreciated things because it's not thrown in your face like a lot of others are.
Thank you. :)
+keithpowermusic Who are you? WHOOOOOOOOOOO
That is why we are here. So that wsrframe gets it's appreciation.
+keithpowermusic You're doing God's work, Keith. Stay based.
+keithpowermusic Wait. Waitwaitwaitwaitwait. KIETH?!?!?! YOU MADE THIS!!!!!! I LOVE YOU!!!!
Pro tip, once you've played the 2nd dream quest.
1) Boot up the game.
2) Walk next to the somatic link in your orbiter.
3) Open the menu.
4) Select Codex to teleport to your liset.
5) Close Codex
6) Walk around your ship and do stuff with this music in the background.
You're welcome.
+TheThOdOr1s
They really should just make it the default background music for the entire orbiter after completing the quest. Currently there isn't any music in the front area of the ship anyway. Maybe make it an optional setting if people really want it that way.

I love you for this
+TheThOdOr1s I am looking like a noob but what is the somatic link xD?
+Plasticzombies If you don't know, I probably shouldn't tell you. It's for the best. Do yourself a favour and don't Google it either.
TheThOdOr1s I'm sure it is some obvious thing. Not like I am a complete noob at the game
I walk into the room just to listen to this. I know I'm not the only one
You're not
One of the best songs I've heard from a game. This gave me chills.
@@DrEldritchPlays Same here man!
Your not bro
nope i do also some times
This is what you are. A tenno. Operator of a Liset. Operator of the Warframes.
You hold a divine power, one that only you may wield.
The Orokin, a grand, proud race, feared you for simply possessing that power, even though you were but a child.

You are a Tenno.
+redder876543 you forgot margalas
+redder876543 Im copying this shit into a notepad xD
i cried
+redder876543 that was beautiful but wasnt it margulis who put you to sleep first?
+Pressthebigredbutton "transcendance" ;-) was after Morgulis
SpaceMonkey1900
yes but she was the one who put them to sleep first transference came after
I-I'm not crying! Just dirt in my eye!
Man, that last segment, all the feels.
Onion cutting ninjas around?
Tacoguy1000 T-that must be it! Loki, Ash, knock it off!
I'd also add that new warframe Ivara as well.
+Gratuitous Lurking I legitimately cried during the cutscene...so beautiful ;_;
+Gratuitous Lurking I definitely felt something after that back shot of you-know-who.
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

same I've been here since the start and this quest was AMAZING
I've been playing sense 2010 and holy shit how much it has change since then... I think this game will be going places
+Leonardo Luiz I think the reason that this hit everyone so hard was the fact that for months or maybe even years you kinda always wondered, and made theories about what you are. +Samuel King also one of the most god damn annoying because there's nothing that tells you SHIT about how to do it
+Mesadeath C Cube yeah, took me quite a while figuring that one out...
+Mesadeath C Cube It's not annoying.. How using your brain can be annoying?
testplmnb I'm sorry if I, as some people do, need a little bit of a hint towards when there's been a mechanics change; there was not anything close to that during the questline. I had no idea that I could shoot a fucking laser beam from my hands until halfway into the fight.
It's annoying because I guess I wasn't spoonfed information about a brand-new thing that was only there for about 10 minutes.
+Mesadeath C Cube It doesn't matter. You don't actually take damage even if you never find out about the hand laz0r.
The first time ever my jaw literally dropped. It was amazing...
I wish there were more hairstyles, though, but sooner or later.
+Maras86 In this case, this is not an ending. You just woke up from a long dream, and it is only the beginning.
It's just a beginning, my friend.
i love how this just... always plays in THAT room
the best idling spot
Person falls out...
...
...
...
Realization.
+Surprise Big Not then...from the darkness....
"Dream"
+ronger97 I had goosebumps from that "Dream", my PC made it sound like someone took off my headphones and whispered straight into my ear, I fookin jumped in my seat.
+Thaloniel I also love how the static happens, then JUST when you think something legit happend to you're PC/console, the voice comes in to catch you off guard
ronger97 yupyup, if not for the fact DE used that trick already in a Balor Fomorian event(sometimes you'd get a lot of red orokin text and static while going back to your landing craft from missions) I'd panic.
It happened after that as well...and it was translated into a TEASER for U18!
So.
Can we justly say that Warframe is better than Destiny now?
+This Guy It was already better than Destiny.
+Unknow0059 # True, but now it is better at a story telling aspect. We get character progression beyond "faceless OP mook"
+This Guy You must be confused, that never was in question. At least anyone who's wondered can't be serious.
+Velmarshal not...always. Just recently. 2 years ago warframe was nothing to brag about.
+Timothy McDaniel Which speaks volumes about what DE is able to accomplish. They're ambitious. And I hope that ambition pays off and they get the recognition they deseve from the majorpart of the gaming community and industry.
I was looking for this. DE has one of the best orchestral scores of all time in games.
That's very kind of you. Thanks.
+keithpowermusic you said thank you two times, no problem, thank YOU for making an awesome game more awesome! :)
+Sirian Kaeregean 6 IMO the game that has the best OST's is Halo, then Warframe after it.
+Erbee Ikr.
This song caught me by surprise, and in a great way.
same tbh
this quest has proven how much of a great team is this dev team .. and how much they truly care about the fans.
only a few games invest this much effort into lore or basically into what people really want.
this update has to be the best update .. ever. thanks DE .. for the items .. for the quest .. for all the care
Also, thanks StallorD ... hope you're having a great time with U18 as I am
+Red Nova That said, now we have WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYY more stuff to grind (If you know it, dont spoil ) XD
The MadKitten yep I do ... and the grind is KILLING me .. guess i gotta buy some plat : /
+Red Nova Patience, Tenno. Control your thoughts and desires.
+CrusaderDC012 and it looks freaking awesome.
WolFaun together with Portal II the best ending
I'm so sorry you lost your mother.
I teared up reading your comment. To just even imagine my own mother.. not there. I know I won't be able to handle it. I wish you the best, and hope you're doing well, fellow tenno.
wow that is sad
I'm extremely sorry for your loss man
_The warframe is a hand. And I am the will._
DE, you are by far the best developers I've ever known in my life.
+Stalker You haven't known many devs apparently.
+Stalker Someone get Rhino Prime NOW!!!
+Big-gunbrother25 *brings A whole Army of rhino primes*
+Order & Chaos Actually, that's what I said before the final fight with him.
+Stalker sentients fighters are still a bigger pain then you, even after the rework you got, if anything, you are now way more predictable with your telegraphic moves.
I'm crying manly tears, man!!!!
This is the time where manly tears were shed ... In glorious amount ... DE, thank you.
I still tear up every time I enter the back room to upgrade, and this music plays ever so faintly in the background.
preach
A little bit late to the party but i think i want to add something to praise of the quest.
One of the hardest moments for me was when the game changed from Warframe's perspective to Operator's. And here's why:
*All this time i was playing as a Warframe. Strong, overpowered, armed to the teeth. I felt no challenge. I felt no fear or worries. Not even death can stop me.*
And then...
THIS - IS YOUR CHARACTER.*
This is the moment when i suddenly found myself TERRIFIED.
And yet: it was the best one.
try to think like this all those elite giant monsters thousands of lives were killed by a kid with a wireless metal ninja
Amen brother
Same I Relied Upon My Excal (he was my starter and had the best armor stats also he was the only one that had a reactor at the time and all my other frames were support frames) I murdered so many things with him it was fitting then I realized it I am the prince then he is my personal knight my blade my guardian it was so FITTING That He Carry Me From The Dream into the waking world so fitting....
I cheesed that part because Limbo entered subspace and got stuck there after cutscene
THE best song in Warframe.
TheGreatTsiom try listening to your decisions make you Tell me what you think plz
Honestly, after completing the Second Dream years ago, it felt superb and emotional that no other game developer than DE had done before. I still come back to this song to this day to celebrate the milestone of the empowering story of the Second Dream. I truly love the song and would recommend showing it to friends.
This quests ending made me think I was playing a Triple A game. And the soundtrack; simply amazing.
+STR33TSofJUST1C3 AAA games doesnt offer so much for literally nothing but your time and your disc space
m striker
You do know that AAA stands for games with the highest budget, right?
STR33TSofJUST1C3 yes but the majority aaa games request a payment to play it, and the other minority are pay to win
m striker
Just because they require you to pay does not mean AAA games are by definition paid games.
Jesus effin Christ, all this stupid shit just because I said DE made Warframe look like a AAA game.
STR33TSofJUST1C3 being AAA doesnt mean good: look at cod or some franchises like them, im just saying that warframe is free, and all that AAA franchises could learn something, im not saying make all games f2p, but at least stop releasing that shitty dlcs
you said: a free game looks like an AAA
being free doesnt mean worst than AAA, AAA doesnt mean better than other games
its like saying, this black guy is as good as a white one
I went from “this game is too confusing” to “I WANT MORE” very quick
when i got to this moment in the quest. i genuinly teared up. from such beautiful music. and the mission was so intense. just too much to take
I cried so much with the outcome of the Second Dream quest line, i never expected what we were in the game, the whole story line was simply beautiful and having the Lotus show up in person to carry me in her arms made me even more emotive.
I think the stalker is one of those kids, but he didn't "dream"
Why cry though?
Thats like me crying after finishing Dead Space 2. A great ending that tied up loose ends, that's what both of these do.
She cries because it's beautiful. That's why I cried, too. The Second Dream quest changed Warframe forever for me. :)
Bianca RoughFin why cry?
About Warframe being empty vessels I just love hør DE deal with it in the sacrifice. It was something like "the union between Warframe and tenno is not just a mind for a body or the OPPLSNERF powers of the tenno. They are a broken thing taking care of another broken thing"
I Actually almost Cried i was just overwhelmed by this Quest and the ending of this. It was Super Awesome to see Lotus Physically at the end, and also Tenno. who we are for about 3 Years. It rly is like a long Dream, where The player Wakes up to see the real self.
When I play this quest it changed my thought completely of warframe and it was a mix of sad and happy. I feel bad for lotus
I appreciate that. Thank you.
Rest in Peace, Animae258
***** Here is the explanation www.reddit.com/r/Warframe/comments/3vfvxg/a_tenno_left_us/ also, in yesterday's prime time, at the end of the stream, DE made a homenage to him with this music as background
+Leonardo Luiz how he die?...
i just heard about him now...
DemonDragonify Seems like it was an accident, as far as we know.
I hate this Year, all goods people are die T-T
+DemonDragonify did John cena died??
Thanks for the soundtrack :)
did you find your head loki or did atlas give you his head oh yeah nevermind
+The Loyal Tenno Loki you are dead loki, what are u doin here.
G'eZz(Gaston) "Sever their heads, yet they rise again"
+The Loyal Tenno Loki LMAO xD
+The Loyal Tenno Loki Cleave it beating from its nest...
+Ury3L same here :P
but i started in march not december...
+Ury3L I tried to quit Warframe twice. Once, in September 2013, twice in February 2016. NOT SUCCESS. THIS GAME IS TOO AMAZING TO PASS UP!
This made me cry.
I pretty much did cry during the last portion of the quest. I want to replay it so bad!
ayyyyy
Sylentus Now you can.
yep, I'm crying now too :')
I need 10 hour version please.
I know only children normally want those, but this is gorgeous.
Warframe. The only game in 10 years to make me cry. I swear, the game is godly. The game is so well developed and it keeps getting better. The game made me cry after my Volt ripped out the War sword and then stalker let go of the Tenno. I love Warframe and I can't wait for more.
Warframe is the only game that made me cry.
Thanks for the kind words. That is definitely in the works! Stay tuned.
I was nearly in tears the entire time, the emotional reveal, the pressure of it all. It was almost too much.
This really tells us a lot about warframe lore especially about how much we are being given and how you really have to search for the answers through all the different quests until you fully understand and this tune really brings it all out so thank you
"My child... so beautiful to behold."
Thank-ya for puttin' this up here, Stallord. Much obliged!
so much flash backs even though its just been weeks since it was released...
makes me remember when i first played warframe...
makes me feel as if i finally met a missing member of the family...
the soundtrack has a really huge impact!!!
Thanks so much.
A ray of hope in a dark future.
I just did the second dream and all I can say is wow, this game now has a different meaning to it.
That was quite a mindblow .
+RiddleAnim Such lovely comments. Thank you. Live performance would be incredible. Agreed.
I'm really happy this plays in the Orbiter. Gonna sit there for even longer now.
Same with my Ivara, glad I'm not alone lol
+Nan0 My Rhino with temple guardian skin ... That was amazing
+Nan0 same with my volt prime, we are one in the same ^^
+Nan0 Dat profile picture doe. +1
+Nan0 I played it with my excal too. i was like : I HAVE TO PLAY AS HIM!
listening to this makes me think back on how far this game has come from the closed beta mediocre sci fi shooter it started.
Best music of the Year, hands down
The feel was too much :'(
*Spam replay button*
Props to you for the music
And seriously, DE should have release the game's OST, I'd throw all my plat in it for Lotus sake :x
there are plans, but the last time we asked, they wanted more variety. I think we need to pester them again.
+The MadKitten

HERE TAKE IT PRESS THE REPLAY BUTTON NO LONGER!!!! ;A;
+Zeenia Whitethorn Or you could double right click on the video and select loop ;)
+Order & Chaos Well, not everyone has Steam acc, so ... *srcsm* :3
Btw, does anyone here's been on the forum ? There's seems be be a major sh*tstorm there atm XD
Also, this is now the official music of the Operator room (Forgot how it called :'( )
surely one of my favourite soundtracks
One of the only games in recent years to truly blow me away with a good mix of gameplay and beautiful soundtrack. But this quest really was the icing on the cake for me. just gives yo a feeling I haven't had since completing Halo 3 way back when
Honestly, the warframe community is ultimately the best community I have seen in gaming. Thank you guys (:
Can't wait to hear the full orchestra version!
that last part of that quest was the most intense and most happiest moment i have ever experienced by playing a game before. and this music made it perfect.
i'd say the most deep experience was carrying yourself through a bunch of sentient fragments shooting at you. and generally, this soundtrack gives me chills each time i hear it
I was really impressed with how the quest turned out. I didn't expect it to be so well-written. Great job DE, for making something that seems to have put many fans in awe with just how good it is.
1280 viewer and no one click "dislike" ....this soundtrack.. i mean, I LOVE U, D.E .... u make me cry with this in the end of quest....
+sufyan hadi You jinxed it!
jinx ? cool name.... i like that
Um, in other words.. by saying that nobody clicked dislike you have cursed it to have someone click dislike. =P
Second dream was the most beautiful and touching hour of gaming that I'd ever experienced. Warframe evolved from a really good game into a Triple A game. Thank you DE.
I get goosebumbs from this lul
I oftentimes find myself standing in the Operator room, just looking at either the white tendrils, "myself," the pictures of the different focus abilities, or decorating the room with my Ayatan relics just listening to this song.
you know those soothing tracks that play when you start up some MMO, like Tera or something, yeah.. this..
this track tells you that its only just begun...
Im gonna cry from what warframe has a complished. The story is perfect.
I have never played Warframe(i have watched my friend play it though) but this soundtrack is so beautiful i almost wanna cry
Thank you DE for the hard work and care put into making this and thank you +StallordD for posting this.
I spent waaaaay too much time on the costumize screen *just* to listen to this music. And after that roller-coaster quest, I needed it.
I love it when games can get this reaction out of me, and last time that happened was years ago. FFX, ZoE and now Warframe.
Those Hans Zimmer vibes...
Glad I'm not the only one who thinks that. It definitely sounds like something Zimmer would make.
+Disturbed246810 Hehe, you are more right than you know :) Check out "A Small Measure of Peace" by Han Zimmer--they start off nearly identical. Both are gorgeous songs; we're very lucky to have such a talented composer for Warframe.
+Disturbed246810 Let's not forget the Inception vibe too. Using dreams to fight and complete missions that we need to complete.
You can never expect the MMO about space ninjas to bring SO MANY GODDAMN FEELS ;__;
Thanks for the upload, StallorD!
The 1 dislike was the stalker.
+Tophef Tyr I can just imagine hunhow saying: "go my shadow dislike that video >:D"
psalm brigole Go shadow, with the power of a thumbs up, cleave the video beating from its nest.
+Tophef Tyr i got hit btw he droped the dread
***** If I only had one hand, how would I have typed these comments ;D
3 years. For 3 years we wandered, hunted down for what was hidden within us, haunted by the shadow of lost sins. Rediscovering a changed solar system, with sword in hand; but asking ourselves, "Who are we? What are we?"
And then we found ourselves.
_My eyes are just sweating._
_All of our eyes were_
This song makes me feel like we came a long way with our warframe, and we finally reach our peak, our true potential and we’re being rewarded for it. And now it’s time to begin a new adventure together side by side.
Soulfraaaaame
The quest probably lasted about 30mins-1hour, had 3 cinematic cut-scenes..... but was 20x better than whatever Destiny's storyline was in year 1.
Have this song as my PS4 Theme. 10/10 Music, Kinda reminds me of Halo
Bravo.
This song is still special to me. I’ll never forget where we came from, and I’ll never stop pushing forward.
After I listened to this I remembered the first time I saw my operator. I am speechless at the time. Great moment.
Why couldn't this version be on Spotify instead. It's so beautiful.
Here, watching/hearing this again, still give me the goose-skin. So Awesome.
I would like to share this awesome song with my friend but I'm sure it will never touch their heart because they don't played the Second Dream Quest.
DE's first ever Warframe cinematic quest, ultimate discovery, epic music and badass reward... This shit's on every AAA game to date, can't wait to see more of these
+TheJames4966 Its funny you say ultimate. Cause apparently from what was said on the DE stream, this quest...
Its only the first of its kind
This track blew me away.
Dream not of what you are, but of what you want to be.
Theres a hint of hope in this song, its a relief for this part of your journey to end, to be able to rest for now. Soon you'll get back up and continue of course, but for now take some time and rest.
4000+ hours not a single second wasted
I barely played Warframe and only knew this music from the PS4 theme called "Excalibur".
It's a very relaxing music.
I forgot about those wallpapers, if only Xbox had them. 😔
My favorite one was the Octavia one
And in that moment, i realized that warframe wasn't a simple free to play anymore.......really epic and unexpected
I use to just play warframe just to play, but after the second dream, I can't get enough of it. Amazing.
