Can we all take a minute to appreciate how much strength and dexterity she must have in her fourth and fifth fingers to clearly articulate the melody atop the heavier bass parts at around 3:09
I've watched 27 videos of this song being played in the last 2 days... Piano, guitar, bagpipes, violin, full orchestra... It's an amazing song, but no one has played it as well as you. That was beyond awesome. Thank you for making me smile!
I was one of the first to watch this masterpiece. I remember I was desperately looking for a cover for "The Kiss" from the original album and came across this video with under 100 views. I am glad it ended up being watched by millions now.
I used to play the keyboard growing up and gave up on it for about 10 years. That is until I came across this video 13 years ago which motivated me to buy a new keyboard which I still own and play. It's hard to put into words how incredible this cover is.
Damn suddenly I got shivers down my spine as I loved the film and the theme track and just got back to piano like yourself. its such a beautiful instrument even if i cant play that brilliant
This is one of my favourite songs ever and your arrangment and technique just turned it upside down in the very best way. Have mercy on my heart, lady. Calling this an amazing job wouldn't make it enough justice, all I can do is thank you.
From the 1992 film The Last Of The Mohicans. This musical piece originally entitled The Gael, was composed by Scottish singer songwriter Dougie Maclean for his 1990 album called The Search. It was later adapted for the film and entitled Promentory.
Never too old to learn.... now when I'm 73, I will start to do this; because you give me just thát inspiration...I like this music c.q. title very much, in a way I feel myself one of the Last of the Mohicans..... Thanks for uploading ! Greetings from Holland ....
When you first published this song it blew me away with how good it was. The passion you display here and the sound you create are beyond amazing. Because it never left me, today I have watched the movie too. Thank you for inspiring me with your music.
I’m not sure if I have commented on this before but having viewed it once again, I have to say this pianist is amazing. The skill and control she displays is exemplary. My daughter is learning piano and aspires to be as talented as this wonderful musician. I tip my hat and bow to your excellence.
One of the most incredible things I've seen on youtube! A whole orchestra plays this song - how you managed to capture multiple instruments with a mere two hands on the piano is beyond me. The part from 3:11 onward leaves me in complete awe.
I listen to all the versions of this tune...I love it...but this version is just incredible...It's an experience to listen to it. It's much more than just a great cover.
191 People did not like this? Are you freaking kidding me? What does this Piano Goddess have to do to make you happy? You go back and like this right now or else!

Respect from India...Baba is also piano player...guitar piece played on piano starting from 2:18 is awesome.....Never listened this type till now...kudos...keep playing.
Even though she has the sheet music in front of her, I think most of the composition is played by memory, ear and improvision as she goes along. It is the maximum level of difficulty to blend in the finger roll section of Promontory with the main them in the middle section. You brain and your fingers just need to wired correctly and it takes a exceptional talent to do that. High Marks Bravo.
WhiteFalcon Since you seem to know what you're talking about, what is she listening to in her headphones? Sorry if this is a dumb question, but the only thing i am cabable of playing is the triangle (out of time).
mozer30 Considering her keyboard doesnt seem to have any speakers, I bet she is listening to what she is playing. She is recording it at the same time using the computer, but there is usually at least some latency, which would make real time playing near to impossible.
There is no talent. Ask her about her talent and she will say that her talent was spending hours plus hours training piano and hours plus hours studying this music...that's the real talent of the great masters of anything.
Viktoriya, I've spent an unplanned afternoon listening to your passionate, enthralling and emotionally filled exquisite piano mastery. It is beautiful and so are you. Thank you for all the years of dedicated hard work and determination that has resulted in such magic flowing out of your fingers. The comments from other accomplished pianists are an amazing compliment. A huge HUG from me to you. The angels are listening too! Stay Safe. Warm Regards, Richard C.

This piece is beautiful, but you bring it to life more than the orchestral versions I have heard. And then...there is the absolute technical miracle that is the mid-point of the piece (around 3:00, I believe). Even my son, who is not much interested in piano arrangements, stopped what he was doing to watch in awe :D We are both astounded at your ability to maintain the various motifs and ranges. Hey, learn something new every day. ThankYou Mr. Martin
i always thought this was vangelis
Both the Gael and Vangelis' main theme for 1492: Conquest of Paradise are variations on "La Folia," an ancient Spanish dance.

I wanted to like it, but I don’t feel the same level of grandeur as the violin. That said, it’s played well, so I’ll just move on without a dislike.
