For me personally, this song has so so much meaning. I lost my beloved twin sister in November of 2020 to suicide. It was one of our all-time favourite songs. As an intermediate pianist, I played this song (standard arrangement) at her memorial. It was the hardest thing I've ever done, and not my best playing. It was so so so heavy and emotional, but I made it through the piece with tears pouring down my face.... I also had the honour of attending Lisa Marie Presley's memorial at Graceland, (( both my sister and I adore her and Elvis)) and Axl Rose actually spoke and played/sang this on the piano. It was, incredibly heartwrenching, and a profoundly emotional experience. Your playing evokes that same feeling I had listening to Axl play this at Graceland. Your absolutely incredible talent, and graceful mastery, empathy, compassion, and emotion towards this piece is absolutely exquisite and profound. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for sharing. ((ps, I will be buying your arrangement, as I found your piano work by looking for a more elaborate version of 'November Rain 'to play for myself.
My wife and I got married in 2004, November Rain was our wedding song and was played by friends on the piano and violin during the mass. Unfortunately, the video film of it was lost. Hearing "our" song played by you is an incredible substitute for us. Thank you very much.

The idea of November Rain was to base an entire song around a simple piano progression (an idea Axl got from Home sweet home). But that was some of the most complex piano playing ever.

Holy fuck her covers just never miss. Like every single one is soooo good. To point out just 2 of the many amazing details in her arrangement the were so beautifully put together that they might have gone unnoticed: 7:07 while the right hand plays the guitar part, the left hand jumps between playing the bass (like usual) but also playing the singing part that goes "dont you think that you need somebody, dont you think that you need someone". The high guitar part, mid-range singing part and bass blend together perfectly and resemble the original song to a maximum. 5:37 she splits the melody between her right and left hand allowing for accompaniniment in the upper register. Again sounding so natural that you may not even notice she is doing anything "special".

I have a deep passion for music and especially the piano, always had an ear for piano covers to songs like these, your a greatly talented artist and pianist and I couldnt have thought of a better way to put this song, slashes solo and the vocals to sheet music for the piano, wonderful and amazing, RESPECT!
I associate this song with one of my very saddest memories, and I can't hear it without that memory being thrust into the spotlight. No other song has that effect on me; no other song evokes quite so much emotion, or quite so visceral a reaction. Despite the negative association, this song is tremendously important to me, and hearing it performed so beautifully gave me full body chills. I am beyond impressed. I am in awe.

I crack up when I read "class"ical musicians comment on Vika's videos negatively and claim that they could "learn a piece like this in a week". The funny thing is (and they don't realize) is that nobody gives a shit about watching them play, whereas Vika's video (this one particularly) has over 5 million views. Probably a large percent of that is people who keep coming back, like me, because it's flawless. Yes, FLAWLESS!
And it's her own score, I believe - her interpretation. They would have to write their own score, play it and let the audience be the judge. I still like Vika's interpretation of 'Estranged' better than Fabrizio Spaggiari's, even though he too is a wonderful player.

The way she's able to play chords with her right hand and use her middle fingers to play the melody at the same time while (as someone pointed out) playing the chords softer with her thumb and pinky. That's wonderful finger control.
Not sure what their point is, she is taking music that we love, arranging it for piano according to her interpretation, and then playing it soulfully. Coulda woulda shoulda, maybe you others COULD do it, but here she is doing it, and we love it!
