UPDATE: They have added "FSR" back into the game in 1.1, so you can remove FSR CAS lines, it shouldn't be needed if you plan to use FSR ingame. MAKE SURE you update your config with the new ones here, and use "r.SecondaryScreenPercentage.GameViewport=" instead of r.ScreenPercentage.
How to Install Config - • Wuthering Waves - FPS ...
Engine.ini tweaks you can do to increase low FPS in Wuthering Waves. This is a follow up to my FPS Boost for Low/Mid Systems video, and offers two options to paste into your ini. Explains which lines to edit to your liking. Includes a parameter to turn FSR CAS back on, for image sharpening.

If you get any kind of error after pasting the config, it could be that FSR doesn't support your device. So remove all "r.FidelityFX.FSR.RCAS."" lines from Engine.ini

For people still experiencing lag even if you have potato graphics on. The game's load might be being handled by your CPU and not your GPU. I tried increasing the graphics settings from lowest/off to low/medium and gained a bit of a boost in fps when I paired it with the low config. Get an app that monitors your rig and see if the CPU or GPU is the one running the game.
You mean your integrated graphics right? A lot of people tell me their card is being underutilised and they have low FPS, and I always tell them check if it's using their iGPU and not dedicated graphics card.

@@kaneki-xmd What worked for me was to make your settings to medium, then adjust the settings from there (increase and decrease to see which one boosts your frames). That way your GPU is the one running the game. You can also try running it in windowed mode.
If you're using NVIDIA, adjust the NVIDIA control panel settings. Just look up "NVIDIA control panel best settings for perfomance" on YT.
If you're running a 60hz monitor turning on vsync and triple buffering in the NVIDIA control panel helped me a bit.
OMG! Thankyou so much! I only added Screen percentage=85 and FSR. Now my 1050ti can run the game on max settings, I just turned off Capsule AO, Volumetric Fog and Lighting. It stays above 50fps. You're a legend. Keep it up Bro!

The wuthering waves fps boost for low system don't work in 1.1 map if I go to the new map I'm experiencing fps drop on the snow area
try the new config, they made ScreenPercentage not work but I changed the command for that. but about lag, if its just new map then its because they made lots of environment effects I can't change the map itself I havent been there yet

For me FSR really help my experience.. at first i can play WuWa even tho not 100% smoothly but after they remove the FSR setting the game literally became unplayable 🤣🤣🤣

I have ryzen5 rtx 3050 4gb vram laptop and even if i could achieve 60 fps it felt so stuttery at some places and some frame drops were so annoying. So I did these methods 1. unlocked 120 fps (it was easy. i just had to copy paste a db file into game folder and that's it(it was safe . it literally does the exact same thing as the longer more combersome method) 2. Using Lossless scale App frame generation (I found it and made it work for free but if u want you can buy it on steam) bro. I dunno how to say it but it literally feels like a new game now lmao. everything is so damn smooth I can never go back to playing at locked 60 fps lol. even id the frame drops are still there i just dont feel any frame drop. cuz the fake frames keeps the game fps above 120 lmao. If anyone seeing this , if you have a gtx 1050ti/1060/1660/1660 super and above or any RTX card or amd rx 570 580 just already use this technique. I swear to god it will make this game 100x better. And i don't think this will get you banned. I've been playing with this method for 4 days and I'm good. after all we dont mess with their core game files.
How you don't have lag with 4gb ram I don't know I have 8gb and I can barely play even on lowest settings

Have lossless and yeah its pretty great at capping my fps by generate. only 2 little problem for me, the character has some blitz when moving too fast(new update 2.9 make it less but still there) and the little latency delay even after i modify to get less it kinda still there (this one a alittle weird but maybe when i adapt by it i will find it ok).
There's no need to unlock 120 FPS on cards like 1050ti, 1060, 1660, 1660 super. Even if you can hit above 60 natively, the drops are going to feel massive, unless you have a high end PC. I use Lossless Scaling myself for LSFG, and it works ok. If you can hold 50-60 frames, then the fake frames feel great. Again, you don't need to do the FPS unlocking part, it doesn't help for low end.
Also remember that LS needs Windowed mode, and LSFG has a performance hit even in it's Performance mode. So yeah, only if you hardware can support it. When my PC can hold 60 it feels amazing, but then it goes down to 30 and stutters and I can feel it even with frame gen. (less frame rate = laggier even if it doubles)

You don't want Exclusive fullscreen is what you're saying?
You can change FullscreenMode=0 to =1 (back to Borderless game default) in GameUserSettings, or just change the resolution ingame frorm "Fullscreen" to ""Windowed" and then back to "Fullscreen"
when i use the config for some reason the character's clothes are really blurry even tho i removed ScreenPercentage. what could be the reason for that? same with the mobs too, their textures look weird.
reinstalling the game fixed it. kinda weird.
LODBias lines, (but if you removed the entirety of all tweaks, and it still hapened dont think its the config then)
0 is default, 1-2 uses lower textures for lower vram
This why I love UnrealEngine made, you ca tweek on your own.
I have a dumb question. I usually play in 720p Windowed (rarely touch 1080p, my RX480 4GB is already on its knees). Is turning on FSR worth doing? I mainly want stable 60 fps.
FSR doesn't increase FPS. Also, why do you play on 720p Windowed? Just try, 67 Screen Percentage on Exclusive Fullscreen Mode. (Check my last video how to do the latter). If it's too blurry for you, after that, then you can turn on FSR additionally.
i wish they’d implement FSR 3.0 frame generation so you could mod and use dlss 3.5 + fsr frame generation together
they dont even have DLSS frame gen in the game, it's probably DLSS 2 or its not implemented. If you have Lossless Scaling and don't use DLSS you can use LSFG, not sure if they are gonna add somethig niche like that only 20% of players are going to be able to take advantage of, you need a 40 series card
@@soulzyx dlss 3.5+ can be used by all 20 and 30s series i wouldn’t say that’s niche but they are adding actually adding dlss 3.0 along with ray tracing soon but its just for 40s series bruh.
if they add dlss FG it will be huge tho since there is a mod to replace dlss fg with fsr FG 3.1 (which works on every single gpu and is actually way better than dlss fg) but yeah probably in a year hopefully..
and yeah I could use lossless scaling but fsr fg is directly implemented as in the game engine, lossless scaling is mostly doing display i believe
FSR frame generation is actually massive alongside dlss 3.5 quality for example in black myth wukong with my 3070 and 5600x playing at 1440p with dlss on (quality mode) i went from 70 fps to 120 fps by using a mod to replace dlss fg to fsr fg 3.1 which is actually wild
@@s4yto DLSS 3.5 upscaling can be used by all 20/30 series, but frame generation no. That's a hardware thing on the 40 series. But I'm unaware of the FSR FG replacement mod, so if that works, then it working on non 40 series cards is great.
yes, LSFG doesn't have the raw data to work wiht, its just guessing with AI to make the fake frames, so its liable to more artifacts than DLSS and FSR FG, but I recommend you try it either way. I was using it before they added back the 120 FPS to WuWa, (i can't hit 120 native anyway at 1440p), and I could never play the game without frame gen now, feels and looks like 120

Gpu = Radeon Rx 560 Series (Sadly only 8 Gb ram too) ( Also Im Using a SSD Drive Or how you call it idk if thats bad or not ), I Know Its Kinda Bad, but i do everything In your videos and i love them but whatever I do I cant get atleast 45 or more Fps Like I am Running everything on Lowest graphics With Potato Quality Etc And I just dont know any further, Ive applied atleast 10 Fps boosts on my Pc to disabling stuff like X box bar even if that doesnt work to this and watched your Guides too, Somehow everything I do doesnt work at the End...
Sorry to hear that, you might be limited to your RX 560 and 8GB Ram. Realistically 30 or 35 FPS might be what you should aim for. I would stay away from running "fps boots" on your PC, the only FPS boost you should is from editing the game, otherwise you can slow down your PC by running some of these things other UA-camrs tell you to do.
Also have you checked the FPS counter to see what you got without the tweaks, and after them?

Make sure you pasted it correctly. make sure you can also "save" to the file. Those are common things people don't do. Did you watch my first video?
Had the game installed inside ssd. It ran smooth af. It took 15p minutes for the game to log in and enter world with hdd, but now only took 1-2 minutes. Just a completely massive change lol. I found out i will get some stutters from teleporting rapidly to other areas. Maybe it was my 8gb ram i guessed? It always runs above 75% after a few times of teleportation

Np. You can't change the enemy spawn rate, that's likely because you were playing at such low fps the game was running slowly to do all it's computing 😂

hello i have an issue that whenever i play wuwa the sounds randomly goes out and come back in a few seconds, the most annoying part is that when i play a story quest the issue keep getting worse like the voice of the character getting delay but the dialogue still continue even though there's no sound at all.
shouldnt be permanent, happens to me on my HDD when the game is loading too slow (the ping spike)

Instructions for Installing the Game on Another Drive wuthering waves. First response is what I used to stop all the stutters since I had the game installed on a HDD and now it's on a SSD. So what people need to be told is to make sure this is installed on a SSD.
Since the installer also has an issue with only installing on D: Drive for some reason.

If your launcher is still showing the old Drive directory when you moved it to your C:, then do this: Delete "kr_game_cache" folder inside \Wuthering Waves\.
Now run the launcher, it will say "Download" or select folder, click download and it won't download the whole game, it'll just start verifying the files in the new location. Done. I switch it between my HDD and SSD all the time just to test.

hello, i cant seem to find the WindowsNoEditor in the config folder, only 3 files are inside the config and its all JSON Files, hope you read this cause still sad that FSR in game option in pc suddenly got removed from pc but FSR option is still in cp but my phone can't handle the game well, really need that FSR option enabled cause when that option was present, games running fine around 45-60fps, now its 30-45 fps without FSR

Hi there's a problem where it makes some puzzle unsolvable because the scan doesn't show the line that connects the puzzles together. Also is there a way to disable some of the physic simulation like wind on grass etc?

No, you cannot disable physics of the game through an ini setting, it's better to disable grass.

What i find weird is that some of the stuff is working while others aren't. The foliage thing isn't working but the screen percentage is.
You sure you put in the right lines? Are you mobile? On mobile I was told some lines dont work

If you've already installed it on your SSD that Windows is installed to, I don't believe there to be any other "fixes", might be a different stutter

@@soulzyx Maybe improve a little bit, im not sure but it around 48-50 before and 49-54. That is in the city, outside be much better like 49-60. The problem here is throttling and throttling fps, even my gpu used just by 45-50%, just weird :v
I guess my laptop is just that much of a potato 'cos I did all these things and i'm still getting some FPS drops ;-;
Game just gives me enough leeway to do simulated challenges. Unfortunately though, I can only play in isolated stages since it only renders stuff in that one location unlike when you're in the open world.
With an intel i5 12400f and an rtx 3060 ti I still have some fps drop to 57 and 55 sometimes.

a bit late on the video, but i did the last config change thing. later on Wuthering Waves keeps giving me a network error not letting me play the game until and unless i revert the file back to its original form. i only need this due to my current situation causing me to use a non dedicated gpu laptop for a month.

@@SultanKhan-mn5vo if you're running a laptop then no, my CPU is 40% usage and it's 6 core 12 thread processor. You could get more RAM, to see if that helps though, but all the settings you see mainly help your GPU

What do you mean exactly? You can change the Windowed resolution from the ingame menu

Are you sure you edited the right file? If you turn ScreenPercentage=1 in the ini, you will know if the game is using the setting. Because everything will be blurrred to an extreme.
@@aligamingyt2228 if u followed the instructions as the previous video u will notice the graphics has drastically changed by the time u load up the game (the ice mountain on the background will have lower textures)

So, about Fog=0, the reason I took it out of this config is because if you turn off Fog, you can't have FSR, it bugs out the graphics. But if you don't plan to use the FSR line, then you can add r.Fog=0, you can pick one :) No fog or FSR, but not both.
Also in the config ,I gave a much higher ScreenPercentage (85). With 67-80, (depending on which one you use you'll get much either much more Fps (67), or just a tiny bit more (80 from 85). I have FSR "on" in both of them. I recommend if you plan to use the "potato" one (67), to not remove FSR because the image quality will be quite bad.

@@david_ace only recommend "r.LightFunctionQuality=1" if you play on low shadows and the game is too bright, it will make the game look much darker, doesnt increase FPS at all probably lowers the fps gain from low shadows on low end pc, because it's global illumination

Hello, great tutorial tho I had one question. Can we set the FSR mode such as Quality or performance? I would like to set it to quality because upscaling it from 720p to 1080p is not really that good, also I have an Gtx 1650 and r5 3550h and 8gb ram (5.9gb usable) but get 40 fps without fsr and screenres at 80 and it even drops below 30 sometimes.
Hey. Like I said in the video, turning FSR on in the config does not increase FPS, so can you tell me what you are trying to achieve?
FSR just upscales the image quality, if you use it without ScreenPercentage, then you don't get any better picture. The game alone with ScreenPercentage, is rendering the game at a lower res (that is wherre your FPS gain comes from). FSR then upscales the image.
You say you want to set it to "quality", because 720p>1080P is not really that good. "Quality" preset in FSR, would be 720p, which is a scale factor of 1.5x.
You would technically "choose" a preset, by doing some math and setting a ScreenPercentage.
Right now, at 80 ScreenRes, you are technically using Ultra Quality preset, a scale factor 1.3x, 830p.
Your specs aren't very strong, and I recomend lowering ScreenPercent more, if it gets too blurry then turn on FSR to save some "visual".
For 1080p
Ultra Quality 1.3x - ScreenPercentage=77 (830p)
Quality 1.5x - ScreenPercentage=67 (720p)
Balanced 1.7x - ScreenPercentage=59 (637p)
Performance 2x ScreenPercentage=50 (540p)
@@soulzyx I am aware about what fsr does, i had set the screen res to 67 which would be upscaling it from 720 to 1080p if Im not wrong but as soon as any movement is involved the frame generation distorts most to the thing, I can provide some images if necessary.. And as for my specs, I believe they are not very powerful but are decent entry level and can run some AAA games at mid-high settings, Im aware of the bad optimization on WuWa but its kind of unacceptable, Take a example on genshin (i am aware that is uses unity and has significantly better optimization), I can run it on Maximum setting at stable 60fps that is without using an fps unlocker, and also while using fsr and screenres to 67, i dont get a really significant fps boost it still stays at around 45 fps but its smoother and the combat and exploration is enjoyable that way, anyways thanks for your help 🤞, also what does the Last command in the 3 fsr commands that you had displayed does? To sum it up, the frame gen is rather really bad I would say at screen res 67, seems like balanced quality of Cs2 fsr.. Also the fsr works fine when idle (The image is sharp and seems 1080p) but it distorts while movement. And it also disables my motion blur but thats fine ig..
Also my gpu and cpu util dosent even go near 90%, gpu stays around 60% and cpu around 70%, just the ram goes till 93%.

Not sure if you want me to explain how frame gen works, but if you are using Lossless scaling, it has nothing to do with the screen res. The image "warps" in Frame Generation when: The base framerate isn't adequate to provide a consistent picture. This means if you go under 35-40 FPS, you will start see "distortion", or if you're freezing a lot, the more the base framerate the smoother the interpolation of fake frames will be.
For instance, I run the game at 67 Res, 1080p to 1440p and I don't get any warping except for when the FPS drops low, for the most part it's at 60 so I don't run into the issue. I don't recommend using frame gen on your system, unless you absolutely feel like its "smoother", at the end you're the one playing the game not me so use it at your own wish.. Frame gen costs FPS, and if it's not putting yuo above these "thersholds" I'm talking about, you won't get a smooth result. For me, it takes about 4-6 FPS, on LSFG X2 even with Perfomance mode. I imagine with 8GB ram and that CPU/GPU it will be even a higher hit. There's my recommendation. I would never recommend LSFG to someone who's playing a 3D third person game and already has low FPS.
Also, don't recommend using these lines, if you don't know what they do, you're changing the game's AA that can contribute problems with image

Without r.FidelityFX.FSR.SecondaryUpScale=1, you won't get any upscaling. Turn it off, even with r.FidelityFX.FSR.RCAS.Enabled=1, FSR wont' work.

Try edit it, save it. Close it. Then don't run the game, just reopen the ini and tell me what's inside of it.

I can play this game with 120fps smooth on my phone (poco x6 pro)
Dude, I have a ryzen 5 7500f cpu and a RTX 4060. And, I can't hit 50 fps in wuthering wave no matter which settings I use. I just hover around 30-45 fps even if the settings is the lowest or the highest. Do you perhaps know anything about it? I don't think, in this case, it is my hardware issue as I achieve the same fps in every settings available. Also, I have it downloaded on a SSD.. so yeah. I am out of things to do.
EDIT: I just figured out that wuwa runs horribly on a windows professional version as in windows 10/11 "n" versions. I installed windows 11 pro now and it is buttery smooth now on the highest settings.

@@soulzyx I have 1 ssd where I have the game installed. And, I have another 1tb hard drive. My cpu temps with high settings is like 70 degrees and gpu at those same settings is 55-60 degrees. They are both at like 35-45% utilization at those settings.
@@crysta1203 Your GPU shouldn't really be at 30-40% utilisation, that might be why it refuses to go above that FPS, it's not really working. You can try forcing it, by going into Nvidia Control Panel -> ""Manage 3D Settings" -> Program Settings -> wuthering waves (make sure not the launcher but client-win64-shipping bin.exe) -> Power Management Mode -> Prefer Maximum Performance, that'll make it so its max when playing the game
You also add it to Window Settings -> Game Mode -> Graphics Settings -> Graphics Performance Preference -> Browse -> \Wuthering Waves Game\Client\Binaries\Win64\Client-Win64-Shipping. -> Options -> Make sure you pick your GPU - > HIgh Perforrmance (not an iGPU or anything)
Well we get SOME fps boost but this is literally nothing tbh, its all on devs, only patience can fix this
well, depends on your system. If it's already kinda weak then it might not be able to be helped 😅 with potato config I go from 30 fps to 60 fps, and thats at a much higher resolution than most people. Only God can save the rest 😂
