The age limits are crazy! My Mum is 75 and often goes to Thorpe Park and Alton Towers and goes on all the coasters - she's probably fitter than a lot of people half her age!
It’s such a different culture at theme parks in Japan!
hi shawn, i would love to see you do and updated top 10 after this trip as it has been a while and i would love to see how your opinons have changed!
Top 10 parks would be great as well
Top 25 Roller coasters , Top 10 Dark Rides and Top 10 parks from each of them haha
Stay tuned for more top 10 videos on the way soon 🤩
This is my favourite place in the world. The park is so stunning, there's nothing else like it. Isn't Eejinaika insane!? My favourite coaster for sure.
It’s a crazy ride in a beautiful location!
One of the things I like about this channel is both of your senses of optimism. That one line would nearly break most people.
Thank you!
A park with a crazy back drop looks insane, loving the vlogs guys!!
It’s a beautiful place
Mount Fuji looks amazing. 😍 Big park, big roller coasters.
It’s a beautiful location for a park
Charlotte, you are my hero!!!! I'm not sure I could even do I305, awesome guts!!
Well done Charlotte, you are a star.
Thank you!
Was there last March and it snowed! Fun!
First half of Fujiyama is great until the winding ups and downs. It felt like my spine is being crushed haha but the 1st drop is great!
Takabisha is my favourite! Ride is smooth. And the beyond vertical drop is insane. Panicked for a bit there 😂
Eejanaika is soooo crazy! The 1st drop is phenomenal! Then you don't know the directions you are going. I thought I'll get dizzy after the ride but I didn't.
Zokkon is so fun! Was laughing and smiling the entire ride. I love the twisties! 😂
Thanks for sharing!
love you guys, thanks for taking us all along for the journey!
Thanks for joining us!
love these vlogs, when I see you've uploaded it makes my day
Thank you so much!
Cannot believe that queue! 🗻 Fugi was so beautiful! Thanks for sharing. ❤
It was crazy! Seeing Fuji was amazing.
Japan has some of the best coasters in the world 🤩
They do indeed!
Brilliant vlog
Thanks!
“I’m surprised you don’t need otsr on that” shawn after the Thomas ride 🤣
😂
Great Vlog as always Shawn and Charlotte, it’s a real shame about the operations for their new family coaster
It took so long!
@@ThemeParkWorldwide it definitely did, it shouldn’t have taken that long. Like you both said in the video, there wasn’t that many people in the queue line
YES been waiting for this all day!!!
Thanks for watching!
I was at Fuji-Q at the beginning of the month and they certainly do take their time with loading!
It does take a long time!
I'm really enjoying this trip
Thank you!
The fact it can tell you’ve ss a ticket ! Crazy ! What a park though .
nice views of mount fugi great vlog both 😁
It’s a beautiful area
I wish my takabisha rides were smooth. I think I went on the next Sunday after you guys and takabisha was insanely shaky. I sat in the front but I think I just got bad rides.
Not good at all, as ours was nice and smooth!
20:18 “two idiots abroad “ 🤣 Shawn you’re so funny 😂
We have a good laugh 😂
Hi shawn and charlet that looks good there we where at skegness fantasy island that was brilliant the millienum coaster and the odassy was amzing roller coadters to ride it was a brilliant day and relly good rides it was a busy day there loving your japan vlogs thay are good
Hope you had a great time!
Do Dodonpa with the original top hat was my favorite coaster in the park, having only ridden Rita at Alton Towers I didn't have any other acceleration coasters to compare it to. It truly blew me away and while I loved Ejanaika, it was the one ride I kept going back on.
Wish I got to experience it!
Wow amazing views of Mt. Fuji!! Bravo Charlotte braving Eejanaika!!! No way id do it lol I'd get sick! 2 1/2 hours wait time is just awful!
The views are amazing here!
Liking the layout displays 29:02
I also described riding eejinaika as being inside a washing machine!
Next time your in Japan, they do hiking tours of Mt Fuji, I fully recommend it! I saw the sunrise from the summit back in 2017!
It’s absolutely crazy!
In 1979 I was in the marines stationed at Mt fuji for 4 months from Okinawa and was amazed to see a amusement park near mountain.
Thanks for sharing!
@ThemeParkWorldwide your welcome I love you guys
One time, when I was on a late night ride on X2 at Magic Mountain, they said we could stay on for a second round. As soon as the restraints unlocked I was like "nah I'm good" and got up. Love the ride but twice in a row is too much!
Such an intense ride!
Cant wait for this, great vlog guys
Thank you!
Been there 1+ year ago. Slowest operations I've ever seen, those safety measures and only 1 train.. the operators were in no rush either.
But the coasters and the view were just beautiful!
It’s very slow compared to what we’re used to, but that’s the culture at theme parks in Japan! The views are incredible 😍
according to my japanese friend, the biscuits and little chocolate boxes are THE present to bring home to your friends and family. they are considered to be very posh and thoughtful gifts in japan. more so than t-shirts or magnets.
That’s a really nice idea!
I don’t think it’s bad operations it’s the unnecessary safety measures. Those rides would be walk on in the west.
It does take a very long time, all part of the overall operations here sadly!
I went to Fuji-Q a few years ago and was able to ride every coaster including Do-Dodonpa. The operations were slow then too, but the views of Mt Fuji from the top of the rides made up for it.
The views are amazing!
I think Great Adventure has fish Ice Cream now
Great video yall! I’ve been really enjoying your Asia trip!! Keep it up!
Thank you!
Hey you Pair loving the Asian series … love the views of Mt Fuji ..I don’t get the safety overload tho ..!
Thank you!
Can you imagine those restrictions in the UK 23:51
Nope. They wouldn’t happen.
Same in the US, people would go nuts!
Completely agree with your frustrations regarding the operations. Also visited the park recently and found the exact same abysmally slow system being used on all of the main rides. Takes up so much unnecessary time and ultimately leads to poor guest satisfaction; I personally left the park feeling quite angry and am very reluctant to go back.
Unfortunately so. We wouldn’t rush back!
17:31 I really like this scene where you see Mount Fuji in the distance. It’s a stunning view 🗻❤
It’s beautiful
enjoyed watching your awesome UA-cam video today.
The constant safety announcements throughout the queue lines etc would really detract from the experience for me! Enjoying the series as I doubt I will ever visit these parks! 😊
Thanks for joining us!
When the highlight of a park visit is the view of something outside of the park you know something has gone very wrong! Kudos for making the most of a rough day.
Thanks for watching, love the location of this park!
3 rides through 3/4 of the day is tough! I once tried it, and it's such a heavy feeling... Glad you got on the important things!
We still had a great day and enjoyed the views!
Only 2 of the thrill coasters were open when we went, the rest were down for ‘maintenance’. The first had a huge 3 hour line. The whole experience felt very dangerous with lax safety procedures and I had a huge neck-ache and backache after the experience. Not only that, they make you take a huge 1.5km detour so you buy stuff from near the exit, when the entrance is just next to the train station. Won’t go back again.
Sorry to hear that!
What an interesting park. That Thomas dark ride would be great at Drayton Manor. I don’t think I would be able to do that 4D coaster that Charlotte didn’t like. The age limits and rules are funny. Even the dog height 😂. My Grandad went on rides with me in his 70’s at Alton Towers.
There seems so many rides out of action. What a shame.
Hope you enjoyed your visit
We had a good day, enjoyed seeing Fuji!
Love the channel ❤
My friend worked in Japan, he loved it, very safe and clean
Japan is such a nice country to visit!
When I went the queues were all over 3 hours it was ridiculous. I guess the Q in the name stands for Queue as that is the main thing you do.
The operations are so slow here
Awesome Video Guys 😄😄
i know how you feel charlottle i was nerves when i first went on wicker man at alton towers
YES! Love these coasters!
very good video Shawn and Charlotte from Fuji-Q Highland in Japan ! Keep the good videos coming on the channel, Shawn and Charlotte
😎😀👍👍
fantastic vlooog
The Thomas dark ride wasn't interactive in the 2017 Vlog, looks like they copied the Monsters Inc ride with the torches!
It seems so!
13:10 Massive props to you Charlotte for going on Eejanaika! After hearing both your reviews, I think it'd be too much for me
It’s crazy!
2.5 hour wait sucks! Though to give perspective, we once spent 2.5 hours waiting for our first ride on Rita in the year it opened. The disappointment!! They need to replace Rita. Alton towers used to be the best park in the uk, far from it now. London has taken precedence over the north with thorpe park getting all the best rides, which suits me being from the south, but i have such fond memories of corkscrew, black hole, the beast (black hole in daylight?) Thunder looper, and of course the early says of nemesis, back when it was the only one of its type in the uk.
Thanks for sharing your thought. It’s definitely time for Rita to be replaced!
It feels so "un-Japanese" to be so inefficient. Honestly a few bucket list rides but those horror OPS stories are scaring me away, haha
I was thinking the same, especially seeing how run down that ferris wheel was. Definitely not the experience you expect in a place where every train runs exactly on time
Don't be too put off. It can be really hit or miss on how long the wait times are. The video paints a very bleak picture. Yes the safety procedures are asinine, but bear in mind that this was on a Saturday, which is by far the parks busiest day. I got 9 rides on Eejanaika in one day, so it's not always this bad. My advice is to just give yourself plenty of time. If you want to make sure you get plenty of rides, than book accommodation close by and allow yourself at least two days to go to the park.
It’s definitely the worst operated park I’ve ever seen, but the views of Fuji make up for it!
charlotte needs to go to thomas land less intense 😂
😂
Great vlog like as always
Thank you!
THE vlog I’ve been waiting for….and no POV’s 😢😢 trying to live vicariously through your channel😂
On ride filming is very strict at these other parks in Japan unfortunately!
Loving the Asia content guys keep up the good work. looking forward to more. hi Shaun And Charlotte
Thank you!
Great vlog, but I agree with you the park lacked atmosphere and looked old and tired.
The overly cautious safety features here are probably something to do with the "broken bones" which caused Dododonpa to close. The park probably can't afford to have another investigation so are now overcompensating! That would be my guess
It did break a few spines...
It seems likely so. Crazy!
Do-Dodonpa will be missed
Shawn, whether in the Zokkon queue or in ANY slow-moving line, just bust out the signature TPWW Dance Party (as at Happy Valley)!✨🎤🎶✨
😂
I would if the music was worth dancing too 😂
Loving this series ✨❣️✨❣️✨🎢🏰🥳❤️💫🏯
Thank you!
Will you go to Blackpool pleasure beach for late night riding on July 6th? Please do.
We won’t be on that day
Its sad that they're permanently closing the now "dota dumpster", but having read about the injuries given to riders, I'm surprised is stayed open as long as it did! There were broken necks and such, very serious/critical injuries. I'm glad you guys got to ride the available large rides and certainly no fault of yourselves! Great backdrop/volcano for such an intense park and great job filming Shawn and Charlotte as usual ...
We had a great time still!
Lol, I was confused because the video for the coaster said not to put your shoes in the locker.
Wow I can’t believe Dododonpa is closing that’s so sad :(
Such a shame to see it torn down!
Choo Choo 44:20
Great vlog 👍👍😃😃
Thank you!
So glad you got to enjoy Fuji-Q! Went there last October and the scary horror hospital "maze" was open, actually the highlight of the park in my opinion. Zokkon line was moving pretty quickly for us, a 15min wait at max somehow. Looking forward to your visit to USJ and your review on Flying Dinosaur coaster, one of my all time favorite!
It’s such a great scare maze!
Going on a Saturday isn't so bad in Japan because Schools and most offices operate half day on a Saturday.
I’m glad that it wasn’t too busy!
Well done to Charlotte for riding Eejanaika it really is super intense, I rode it in December and had to go and have a sit down after I got off lol. I have ridden this and X2 and this is way more intense. I'm also 53, thankfully noone asks your age, I am not sure they enforce the age policy. I do suffer with my back and I did hear a few clicks as I went round lol - I stayed in the hotel next to the park and had amazing views of Fuji-San and the coasters, was amazing to lie in bed and see both the volcano and rollercoasters. Best view of any bed LOL.
Glad you got great weather, I too was lucky with clear blue skies and amazing views of Fuji-San (local name for mount Fuji.) Yay I can't wait to see your Nagashima Spa Land Vlog too. I also went there on my trip.
It’s a crazy ride! Thanks for watching!
I think that when you get back Home you should do a vlog making a new coaster list for Charlotte showing us your method and showing us Charlottes coaster journey from her being little to presant day, with some photos. I am sure that between you and Charlottes parents you can remember which ones she has been on. I think that would make a great vlog.
Thanks for your suggestion!
Was curious about the Naruto land, and all that was shown was a shot of the closed dark ride 😅
It’s a shame it was closed
I liked the video
Interesting that you guys seemed a bit underwhelmed by the park, I really loved it myself. The operations are absolutely disgraceful, but the ride line-up was terrific, the food options were lovely, the staff with sweethearts and I thought the park looked really nice for the most part. Next time I'm in Japan I'm definitely going back here!
well without Fujiyama running and having them just closed Do Dodonpa the park is really not anywhere near its potential. Eejenaika is more than worth the trip alone!
It’s so poorly operated unfortunately however the views of Fuji and 2 amazing coasters do make up for it!
If they don't let you do povs you should show an official one
Unfortunately they didn’t have an official POV that we could use
Wow, that first coaster was so big you could not even fit it into one shot, Charlotte was so brave for going on it. I am really glad you managed to get the views this time and from the ferris wheel as well. I loved the street and the fountain and flowers at the end.
All those warning signs made it even more scary, definitely feels excessive though.
Thanks for watching!
Omg, my heart was racing watching that ride, I would be so scared 😅
Great VLOG! Looking at Zokkon, it seems to be quite similar to the model that Drayton are going to be opening soon...
Great ride!
Omg I was so worried for Charlotte going on that ride what a women she is braver than me another good one my lovelies see you on the next one xxxx
Wow Charlotte. Your very brave for riding that after your experience on the last coaster if its type. I can't remember the vlog or I'd watch it again as I want to share your braveness with a friend. Loving your trip. Not loving this park too much though. Gutted no povs as it really does make a difference x
Such an intense ride! Thanks for watching!
Fuji-queue
Literally 🤣
That was Shawn revenge Charlotte for u getting him soaked on the splash battle ride 😂
What was your best ride
We mention that in the vlog 😄
Paused the vlog to congratulate Charlotte for giving that 'thing' a go!! Luckily I'm 2 years too old to ride😂🙏🏻.Charlotte, everything else you ride now will feel like a baby caterpillar coaster 😂👍
I don't think they enforce the age policy, I went on at 53 and no one asks your age. I would probably tell them I'm younger lol
@@markylonI was curious about that, I’m hoping to visit Japan next year though I’m still fine age wise I was worried that being older might make the experience too intense, I feel like a lot of the warnings are just to build hype/fear.
@@ObsessiveGeek as long as you have no health problems you'll be fine. This age restriction would be illegal in Europe and the UK as it's assuming over a certain age you're unhealthy it's age discrimination..I'm sure there are plenty of young people with health issues and plenty of very healthy older people. You can't assume anything just based of age.
@@ObsessiveGeek One thing that will make a huge difference is learn to say Good Morning, Good Afternoon, Good Bye, Thank you and you will be LOVED EVEN MORE. Have an amazing trip. I can't wait to go back
Thank you!
With those very specific age restrictions were they actually checking folks ID.
Nothing was checked from what we saw
@@ThemeParkWorldwide I will have to rely on youthful good looks eh 😁
At 42:32 and 42:44: I just saw Everybody Twist Merry Go Round Ride and the Exciting Cruies Log Flume Ride that I used to ride on both when I was little are going to change from Original to Reboot.
It was fun seeing gegege no kitaro in the park maybe they could do a dark ride for him. The 4d coasters are so cool maybe universal could build one for sonic
I thought Japan was known for it's efficiency
The culture is very different at these theme parks compared to other countries!
Im resisting the urge to skip to see charlottes reaction to ejinika 🤣Alr nah I want to watch this so badly I'm taking a break from editing haha, this is gonna be amazing I can already tell
No! An age limit of under 54 is so unfair!
It’s a very different culture in Japan!
I was waiting for the video of this park looks awesome. Is this the place where your friend was in that disability scooter last time?
That video was hilarious 😂
That was Happy Valley Shanghai!
For a park that does as much business as this, the upkeep leaves much to be desired. Seeing that rusty Ferris wheel was quite disheartening… although not as disheartening as that 140 minute wait 😬. Love these videos you guys have been doing. Very well done as always. Safe travels and looking forward to the Nagashima Spaland video!
This park has so much potential!
