GLAD TO SEE YOU 2 ENJOYING LIFE TOGETHER NOTHING BETTER THAN HAVING SOMEONE BY YOUR SIDE DURING LIFES ADVENTURES
actually really envious of them, love them
Thank you so much!
WHY ARE YOU YELLING? 😂
Did your caps lock button get stuck?
What an odd park lol !!! The Monster Show is what they used to have in Orlando and it was where Hogwarts Express station is now !! Obviously it was better there as the actor who played Beetlejuice was amazing
It wasn’t our favourite at all, but good to see it for the first time!
Really strange with the Easter celebration, not sure why as it’s March/April in Japan, I would have been tempted to try asking someone about it.
It was very strange! Possibly just extended due to popularity maybe!
@ThemeParkWorldwide Maybe the celebration itself as Christianity represents about 1% of the population in Japan, so I guess the majority see those things as far more of a novelty.
Could be just that nothing else was planned to fill that area and as you mentioned the resort is really minimal around the "New York" section so they possibly need things like that to fill it out a bit more.
Random sight lines 18:25
I can't unsee the Waterworld FX laying waste to Super Nintendo World.🔥🍄🔥
😂
The way I can see them fitting Pokémon into that area of the park is if they themed it around Detective Pikachu and Ryme City
Possibly so! Looking forward to seeing what happens!
I have been binge watching your channel for three days! You guys are one of the most entertaining and enjoyable theme park channels on UA-cam!
Its my fav
TPW are very good at showing you best ways to get value for money.
Thank you so much. We really appreciate your kind words!
Do you have any other favorites? I’d love learn about similar channels
@@Tinyvalkyrie410 coaster studios and El Toro Ryan are good!
Water World with the skyline as Super Nintendo land is halarious
It did make me laugh 🤣
Detective Conan is known as case closed in the west. It’s just a detective animated series. It’s been around since the 80s but rebooted a few times. It’s ok just it tries to do Sherlock Holmes when it’s not.
Thanks for sharing!
The reason you don’t see cupcakes and pastries everywhere is because Japan tends not to have the culture of eating on the fly. They always make time to sit down and actually eat a proper meal. Eating while walking is seen as not proper and a massive mistake. Cupcakes do exist in Japan just they like different flavors that aren’t really western. Usually its flavors like chestnut or matcha, very subtle flavors yet last a while.
There’s plenty of other convenience food in Japan that can be eaten on the go, so I don’t think it’s anything to do with that.
It’s simply a cultural preference to have other types of sweets/snacks.
Thanks for sharing! I do love seeing the differences in culture at theme parks around the world. Definitely miss having a muffin though!
@@ThemeParkWorldwidestay in the UK then 😂
@@ObsessiveGeekthey tend to buy convince store food to take work or sit down and eat tho! Rion ishida channel often shows him buying onigiri but taking it to a park to sit and eat it! They don’t eat whilst walking around
388k subscribers congratulations and 111 subscribers on your both channels
Thank you so much!
I think that Universal Studios UK or Hollywood should have an Aliens movie themed area, what do you think
Was killing time waiting for this to drop!
Hope you enjoyed it 🤩
@@ThemeParkWorldwide of course!
When you say "The best flying coaster" Does that include F.L.Y or is that out of just the B&M ones
I’d say just out of the B&M flyers!
I love the look of the Nintendo land, but the attractions in it aren’t really anything to shout about.
Definitely. The area itself is amazing!
I’ve always been a massive fan of Nintendo. So seeing the Nintendo world made into a theme park is just unbelievable for me. Thanks for the great vlog ❤️
It’s such a great area. Loved it!
Great video Shawn and Charlotte from Universal Studios Japan Day Two Vlog, keep the good videos coming on the channel, Shawn and Charlotte. 😃😎👍👍
Omg I love you guys, in your next video can you pls do a shout out!
You and Charlotte are such a funny and cute couple. Charlotte exceeds my expectations with water rides!😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Thanks for your support!
@@ThemeParkWorldwide omg thank you so much! You guys are amazing! Do you have any plans for any more Paultons park trips yet?
I believe those biscuits boxes are for people to bring back to share with work colleagues/friends
Love that!
Great video , im enjoying the vlogs , that monster show was weird i wouldnt class i will survive abd livin vida loca as rock songs lol
Thank you. It was very strange, but we enjoyed it 🤣
Doesn’t seem up to Universal’s standards.
I reckon it's because it's such a busy park, so anyone leaving is far less likely to return, though there really should be an exception to folk staying in the hotels on resort.
The layout doesn't seem to be well thought out either.
It's surprising that Nintendo World is so small when you'd think they'd know that IP is absolutely MASSIVE in Japan.
Feel like the whole place was rushed to get completed. I hope they don't make those mistakes here in the UK.
It’s definitely not our favourite sadly. Good to see it for the first time though!
I GOT THE 1st PIN!! 😃🥇🏆
Great day two vlog of Universal Studios Japan 👍👍😃😃
Thank you!
Shawn, the commitment and dedication you have is nothing short of astounding! I think if it’s not included on your current Japan itinerary, it would be so cool to visit Toei Kyoto Studio Park one day! It’s a popular studio park owned and operated by Toei, the company behind tokusatsu classics such as Super Sentai, which is well known for being the source material for Power Rangers, and Kamen Rider.
Thank you so much, would love to visit at some point!
Which Universal Studios in Asia do you think is the best? Universal Studios Singapore, Universal Studios Japan or Universal Studios Beijing?
Beijing!
Hollywood Dream: The Ride
Brilliant mini hyper!
One of my biggest pet peeves is when theme parks play music with vocals outdoors. I kind of expected better from Universal.
Also, it’s absolutely insane that they refuse re-entry. Maybe the employee misunderstood you somehow
There’s some strange things at this park. They clearly state no re-entry on the announcements too, crazy!
Spiderman closed because their license in Japan was over, it lasted 20 years. They closed it just the day before!
Hopefully the new attraction that replaces it opens quite soon as the park needs more capacity!
Amazing video thank you
Thanks for watching!
This is why I prefer Acrobat over The Flying Dinosaur. Acrobat is so graceful and pleasant and is often a jump on with no line at all. The Flying Dinosaur is large and impressive but also clunky and headache inducing. I think people overlook Acrobat because it's a clone and because it's in the same park as Hakugei and Steel Dragon 2000.
Jaws the ride looks amazing cool amazing video. 👍🙂
It looks great. It’s a shame that we missed it this trip!
They didn't "decide" to close Spiderman, Universals rights to Marvel in Asia ran out so they had no choice!
They could have paid Disney and Sony. But nooo
Interesting to hear, thanks for sharing!
@@SirPablo2PabloDisney are desperate to get exclusive rights to all the Marvel IPs and get Spiderman etc into all their parks, only Florida to go but Universal have rights in perpituity as long as they keep paying the licensing fee but Disney will eventually find the loophole they are looking for. It will leave a huge hole in Islands of Adventures if they do, Hulk is easy they can just repaint it and rename it but Spiderman will have to go there too.
What was your best in day two vlog
Hollywood Dream The Ride is definitely our highlight of this park!
Love to see you both living life. 👍
Thank you for joining us!
@@ThemeParkWorldwide Anytime guys.
No re entry policy yikes 😂 there would be a riot in Orlando if you had to pay 💰 to come back in.
I was really surprised about that
Loved all the videos guys big love 😊😊
Thank you!
Good & nice vlog, yeah agreed, just looking at site areas on that side where rides & attractions lack. Could do with maybe keeping the two street areas for Hollywood for entertainment, shops etc? But demolishing rest of it to make way for new additions, maybe thats the area that will have some new rides & attractions added to it? Defo needs something? A new big top coaster maybe? More family coasters? Shame Jaws wasn't open, aswell Jurassic World / Park boat ride, would of been good to see those on this vlog aswell last. Yeah not a fan of sight lines either, could do a better job with hiding those on Westworld show auditorium, aswell other lands around park? Maybe taller trees, planting & buildings etc? Especially when hiding that tall and high bridge in Jurassic Park land, its like Dr Who or someone has zapped a bridge back in time lol. But yeah nice vlog, enjoyed, could do better with attractions here aswell a new few coaster additions, also by the way taking the mic with charging people to re-enter parks, Disneyland Resort Paris don't do that, infact you can over stay go in and out as many times you like, at least when I went in 2017. But nope, desperately need improvements at this resort, 100%. Cheers again. 😀👍
it would be really cool if Universal Studios UK would do a waterworld show
Love Waterworld!
fantastic video
Thanks!
It looks like Beetlejuice graveyard rock show that use to play at HHNs long time ago at the USA parks
Does it meen your holiday is over time to go home
We’re back in the UK now, however there’s another week left of vlogs from this trip!
Super Nintendo World seems such a small area compared to how popular it is, claustrophobic when it’s busy. Still looks good though.
It’s very small, but very immersive!
The Cupcake ride - Fancy one now 26:28
I believe that all the money for Universal is going to Epic Universe. I don't think they will change the outside buildings in NY just change the inside to Pokémon. Pokémon can be fit anywhere.
It’ll be interesting to see what they do!
Can you take the toiletries?
Yes!
Let’s hope if the UK proposal goes ahead we get a better ride offering (and no flying coaster!).
tbh, there were a lot of rides and shows in the first 15 mins of the vids but sadly mostly either gone or doing anime collab. I think universal studio japan needs to think up of new permanent shows for those buildings.
what I remember about those buildings:
- 4d cinema is showing boku no hero no academia (my hero academia), very popular anime show in the past 10 years. they usually rotate on what anime that will do the show, last few times I visited japan I think they showed evangelion and dragon quest.
- the space fantasy also got a lot of anime collab, I went there last year and I rode the coaster with doraemon as the theme
- that detective conan show is actually Terminator 2 show. detective conan is a wildly popular anime show that is already 30 years old
- rip spiderman, I watched it last year and it was still as good as I remember
- btw, there was also a show there called backdraft fire show which is closed in 2020. I watched it in 2017, and in 2018 I went there during halloween and they put zombie overlay as one of their halloween horror night houses.
- I remember next to spiderman, they also use it for events, such as halloween event or anime event (last year is spyxfamily)
Thanks for sharing. Hopefully there’s many new additions to come to this park!
Great video as always guys! I'm visiting in September and you've made me very nervous about Flying Dinosaur now!
Do you have any update on Donkey Kong and if it will be open by then?
Btw looks like Space Fantasy (the spinning coaster) is closed for VR re-theming and re-opens in July.
Thank you! They’ve said later in the year so it’s hard to say at the moment. Have a great time!
Great video but please enough of the poor sight lines I don't care
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. For me, it affects the overall look and theme of the different areas!
Im suprised nitnedo have never made their own theme park they have so mant IPs to pull from like Mario, zelda, metroid etc
Snoopy studios might have been the old Nickelodeon studios of Japan. I see the familiar structure there. Orlando changed to blue man group but it now sits empty although most of the old nick stuff is still inside. I believe an editing company uses it now for storage. I don’t mean like empty in stuff by the way, I mean empty as in people as nobody ever goes in there that I know. Nick had a presence in Japan mostly as a dubbing company that changed over voice audio to Japanese. They changed nothing else.
Possibly so, the family area was nice!
Hey great video guys! Glad you both enjoyed your Japan trip!
At 4:19 in the video sorry, just to clarify the amazing adventures of spider-man ride actually closed the beginning of 2024 in January!
I was actually there the week it was closing, I was so lucky to get to go to Japan it was so busy and they were also selling exclusive final merch from the ride!
Unfortunately, they removed the ride due to Disney owning the rights to Marvel! The Florida ride however is a different situation so it won’t be removed. Disney in Tokyo is now slowly adding Marvel to their parks!
It’ll be interesting to see what happens, such a huge amount of dead space at this park!
What a vlog🎉
Thank you!
It is amazing to see all universal studios parks. But, considering how many universal films there are, they're making the parks very generic, i really hope that UK universal isn't all minions, I would like nintendo world but, sick of the site of minions lol
Universal Studios Beijing is definitely my favourite!
Just to clarify when Shawn says IP what does he mean?
Intellectual property...in other words, the branding rights to use a character or theme or movie. Harry Potter or Superman are good examples.
@@deebringle5772 thank you
@@saintnicholas5507😊
As mentioned, it’s intellectual properties such as Nintendo or Harry Potter!
Totally agree about the lack of rides. I will say one thing. This is the best universal for little kids. I have a 3 and 6 year old and they loved that family area, minions and Harry Potter. We spent hours in the Sesame Street indoor play area. Compared to Hollywood this is a win for the little ones.
The family area was great!
I know it’s another expense, but I’m surprised y’all didn’t spring for power-up bands.
It’s not really our soft of thing, however can understand why many people would like them!
Hi SHawn, can I ask is this park the same size as what the UK Universal will be? And what rides do you want to see here? Will you be covering more of the Universal UK when you are finally back to the UK ?
We definitely will have more updates from the UK project on the way!
Just watched both vlogs, just feels like something is missing with this universal, doesn’t have the same feel as the others
Thanks for watching. We definitely agree, it lacks attractions at the moment too!
Im don't like The flying dinosaur
Great video! Just wondering when you said flying dinosaur is your favourite flying coaster do you prefer it over F.L.Y at phantasialand?
The theming of FLY is spectacular so it’s hard to say! This is definitely the best B&M Flyer though!
Aww love snoopy, do you think they have Easter at a different time of year? That odd isn’t it ❤
It’s at the same time, just an extended event it seems!
Easter in march shaun i googled it
Space Fantasy hasn't been closed for a year, we went on it a few weeks ago, it just gets rethemed to various animes, it was Demon Slayer when we went on it and it was the most popular ride in the park.
I guess that theme has just ended and they're preparing whatever is next for the Halloween season.
Hi, I'm Japanese and I live in Osaka. Thank you for coming to Japan 🥺
Thank you!
How did I not know about the hello kitty area...😅😅😅
It’s such a cute little area!
THEME PARK INSIDER - JULY 2024
Orlando theme park tries a 'no re-entry' policy
July 2, 2024, 3:24 PM This morning, SeaWorld Orlando implemented a rare policy for major theme parks - no re-entry
That’s not good!
I genuinely can’t believe uve never done jaws! It was so good and scary
Never sadly! Hopefully one day!
I’ve noticed in the Asian parks, but especially the Japanese ones, there are very few people in wheelchairs. I hear disability isn’t culturally accommodated there, even if the physical infrastructure for access is pretty good. That’s something that makes me nervous about traveling there, despite the fact that I’m super curious about this part of the world. I get enough people staring at me in the US and Europe… I’d worry it would be even more uncomfortable there, especially since I can’t speak the language which could lead to misunderstandings.
I’m sure you would be fine out in Asia, there’s still accessible entrances to the rides from what we saw!
Do they not have a multi day ticket option like Orlando
We purchased a two day ticket. No re-entry allowed though!
That monsters show looks cool! Wish they had that in Florida.
It was great to see!
Happy Easter! I'm not a stickler for sight lines, but seeing Super Nintendo behind Waterworld is hilarious.
I wasn’t a fan of the layout of this park at all sadly
@@ThemeParkWorldwide I feel you. Definitely doesn't help having so many attractions closed.
Just did some research and apparently Space fantasy keeps getting temporarily shut down because they are using it as an "XR Coaster" for attractions like Demon Slayer in an attempt to have new attractions alongside the 4d theater shows every 3-6 months. It was closed to become "The Ring/Ringu: Sadako's Curse" for the Horror nights months in 2023 + a little extra time. Soon it will be a second Demon Slayer XR ride as a sequel to the one they did in Spring this year.
They just keep closing it to retheme the queue and create additions to the ride vehicles for the XR attractions it seems.
Cool concept though, a ride that changes completely about every half a year. Basically pseudo new attractions to give guests more reasons to support them while they overhaul like 1/3rd of the park.
Cheers though! Your fun vlog is getting me excited for my visit there in September!
Glad you got to make it to Osaka. I've been to that park 3 times. 2013, 2019 and 2023. Sad Spiderman closed. That 4D show was in the old T2-3D building.
I can’t believe the no reentry policy. That’s outrageous.
We were very surprised
I went in 2018 and almost everything was open and it was overwhelming almost how much there was to do. Shame they had so much closed.
Awesome 😎
I'm happy you enjoyed Hollywood Dream! From other vloggers I had heard it was pretty average, but it's always intrigued me
It’s a great ride. Loved it backwards!
The former et ride is actually the only one that changes every time an anime partnership happens. It did one piece, demon slayer, even gintama. It’s probably changing its theme again.
If I had to guess it would be MHA with season 7 premiering
I wish it wouldn't keep closing and reopening for the various VR overlays - the original space theme looks good enough!
It’s very strange to keep closing a ride for re-themes, especially in a park that desperately needs capacity!
Japan - Disney Won
America / China - Universal Studios Won
Great Day Two Vlog Shawn and Charlotte, I can fully understand why it's your weakest Universal Park.
The Beetlejuice rock show used to be at Universal Studios in Florida and California call Beetlejuice graveyard review in the spinning roller coaster I heard is always theme to to a different anime every year and the snoopy studio was big indoor area. What a roller coaster so I don’t know why it’s closed.
Pretty sure Space Fantasy is closed to put a new Demon Slayer overlay on it for the summer.
Loving the animatronic Venus Flytraps 41:06
The Universal version of Disney’s Dumbo 25:02
That’s something coming from you 47:15
That was a great impression of Woody Woodpecker.
omg this accoiunt brings back so many memories i was obsessed when i was younger 😭
The Hello Kitty cupcake ride ia so gorgeous
Was looking forward to seeing the my hero academia and hello kitty merchandise! Shame you didn’t even show it!
We didn’t really see that much merchandise wise
@@ThemeParkWorldwide oh would of thought there would be more Sanrio! There was a my hero academia section! You can see the posters and ears before you left the shop
It's amazing just how much of going around Super Nintendo World is treated like playing an actual game. If you're there for long enough to make the most out of using the wristband, they allow you to fully experience every little nook and cranny of the area. It will track your scores on the MarioKart ride and whether you find any of its very well-hidden secrets, you can gather coins throughout the day from the ? blocks and work your way up a daily leaderboard, and get stamps for achieving mini tasks within the area and even visiting at different times of the year. People are genuinely out here trying to 'complete' Super Nintendo World which is fascinating to see. And I agree wholeheartedly that it is a simply wonderfully themed area. Going around Nintendo World & all of USJ on the regular as a single guest and utilising the single rider queues where possible is a great way to kill a day. I'm aiming to check out the new Donkey Kong Country area as soon as I am able to and can't wait!
That’s awesome! It’s a great area with so much colour and movement around every corner!
Do you think better to just do one day?
Yes!
SHARK MEAT?;??:
Shark meat nuggets!
Really great vlog and appreciate your honesty and balanced view on the park because it is fun in places but there are many missed opportunities from Universal. I got a chance to visit the park last November and rode Jaws, Jurassic park and Spiderman and they were all fantastic. Also not sure if I missed it in the vlog but the Detective Conan ride is where T2 Battle Across Time was, a real shame they removed that, back in November they still had all the signage and you could see the Robots inside. Totally agree about that section of the park, was bare even back in November when they had Spiderman there. Also agree on the Super Nintendo part, was very disappointing and really driven towards kids and you don't need those wrist bands. I found the staff taking photos to be very rude if you didn't buy a photo which is something to note but staff were generally very friendly and smiley around the park. Definitely need 2 days for this park, can't be done in a day and you were lucky on the queues, when I was there the queuing times at 70 minutes were accurate. When you guys come to Shanghai guys hit me up, I am a Brit living here and know Disneyland well. Really love the content, big fan guys! Get out there and keep on riding!
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. We really appreciate it!
I love the chocolate frogs too! Very good quality 23:45
1hr 10 mins shawn I think farted 😂
I feel the need to sing The Monster Mash 34:30
Going to Universal Japan next April along with Tokyo Disneyland. Can’t wait. Love your vlogs.
Have a great time!
