All depends on who you are and what you do in life. I ordered a 23 black edition Ridgeline back in Dec. I almost pulled the trigger on a trd pro. The deciding factor for me was I live in the city and drive on the highway daily to get to work. I wanted something smooth with a little more room. I don’t go off roading, so in the end it was the Honda for me. I may revisit Toyota again in the future, but a four cyl. turbo is a red flag for me. I’m a fan of naturally aspirated engines. I’ve come across too many stories lately regarding turbo’s on small cylinder vehicles burning out, or lasting a fraction of non turbo engines. But it seems this is the way of the future.

Absolutely, it all boils down to individual needs and preferences. The Ridgeline is a fantastic choice for those who desire a smoother ride, especially for city and highway commutes. While turbos do offer more power and efficiency from smaller engines, there's something to be said about the longevity and simplicity of naturally aspirated engines. It's essential to choose what aligns best with your driving habits and priorities. Enjoy your Ridgeline, and thanks for sharing your thought process. It's insightful for many others on the fence between options! 🚗🛣️🔧

You won't regret your choice, I have a 2017 put 107,000 miles on it, still drives like new.

I have an 08 Ridgeline with 187k miles. Rides great. Best vehicle I have ever owned. Recently been looking at a new truck and taking a serious look at the Tacoma but Ridgeline seems to give me everything I want. More space in the cabin, better ride.

@@BrianB77 Yeah Brian, like I said I’ve had mine since Dec. No issues so far. It floats on the highway to and from work which is nice. Had a couple of family trips with it also this year. There was room in the back that nobody was cramped during the three hour trip, which is good for a midsized truck I’d say. My only critique would be for the 23 model year, essentially nothing has changed. The interior is pretty dated, especially if you compare it to others. Also I absolutely hate the push button gear selector. I still can’t get used to it. I understand Honda may do something different for the 24 model year. Maybe a refresh, so I’m curious to see. Good luck with your purchase.

There is no comparison between that mini van with a Tacoma . Let’s get serious here.

I keep hearing reports they are in big trouble, maybe they are offering too many choices vs many of the other Truck manufacturers streamlining the options to keep cost down.
The only thing i wish the Rigdeline had is 6k towing.
    Cheers

If you need to regularly tow over 5k, why would you be in a mid-sized truck anyway?

Nice video. I was very confident about buying a 2024 Ridge line over the Tacoma until I watched this.

I just traded my 2021 Tacoma off-road for a 24 Ridgeline trailsport and I couldn’t be happier, I don’t off-road or tow and the RL just rides so much nicer and is a lot quieter, I did the auto start this morning and I couldn’t even hear it running in the driveway I thought it didn’t work so I stuck my head out the door to see if it was running.
In the end it’s all about what you need and want.

Tacoma is outdated. Ridgeline outperforms and it's fast!!
