I think being a kpop trainee is generally hard for all companies always training, studying, practicing but I'm glad BIGHIT gave them free time but still the trainees used the time to practice which really shows their commitment but I'm always sad when one of them has to go home or didn't make the cut, like Jason.

It's really heartbreaking, especially for the trainees who took out loans just to be able to train and debut.
My mom's best friend's son has just gone to Korean to be a HYBE trainee. I rlly hope he's able to make it to success!

Hybe should focus on vocals more rn rather than dancing and choreography
They do focus on vocals training. Hybe has 6 labels bighit, pledis, koz, ador, be lift lab and source music. Each label has the own specialty and style

@somerandomperson7223 No they are different sm is one of the big3 companies which debuted exo nct asepa etc and source music is a sub label under hybe which debuted lesserafim

@@nicoleloss7987pledis had better trainee system then rest hybe labels, it doesn't even feel right to put their artists in same category, and ZOK seem more into hip hop their artists have amazing vocals but they clearly lean more to rap, as For rest hybe labels source had Gfrined but it seem they didn't appreciate their talent so it their loss.
I am doctor and my salary only 4$ a day, I work in public hospital, to think kpop trainee get more per day than me as working adult 😅
I wonder how NewJeans’s parents were criticising the whole HYBE when the all sublabels were good at treating their trainees. We need some in depth analysis on the truth of how Source Music treat their trainees. Also an investigation on the claims of the parents are even true about the dorm cleanliness and security measures.

I dont think this video justified how hard it actually is being a trainee or parts were changed or left out. Trainees practice at least 14 hours a day, and companies also put them on very strict diets. Although this video stated how bighit wasnt big on dieting or what they ate, this may not be the case for most companies and it depends on the trainee. It is known how big the diet culture is in kpop even starving is considered a diet. It is also said trainees have to weigh theirselves infront of the trainers everyday to make sure they dont surpass their “ideal weight” this doesnt even include how much mental strength it takes being a trainee as u are criticized in front of ur face ppl telling u that u are not good enough, or blatantly saying ur are too ugly or fat. Despite going through all this, there is not even a guarantee that u will debut and making it big in the industry is very hard. Sadly, this gets worse when they debut.

jason yu wasn't an official trainee, he was accepted by bighit and they mentioned that they would keep him for 2 months and see his progress
unfortunately, he didn't make the cut and become an official trainee
