What is the best second Halloween movie? Is it Halloween II which takes place on the same night as the first film and has many of the cast and crew from the original return? Could it be Rob Zombie's Halloween 2 which is a sequel to his remake. Perhaps it is Halloween 2018 which has an older Laurie Strode taking on Michael Myers again 40 years later? This is what the @MovieDumpster guys and I will try to decide in this episode!

I swear, when these guys get together, they make the best content. October is going to be a lot of fun with Hack the Movies and Movie Dumpster.
Thank God for them, I want the spooky and thee ooky
I love these three together
Uh no. I’d rather tony the girls Joanna, krystal and his Italian brethren . Can’t stand these guys or their reviews.
@@stevenpina1983 You just wanna see the eye candy you simp 😂
Spot on
I don't get why some people tend to think Michael was "just a guy" in the original then was made out to be more than that later on. How many regular dudes do you know can lift a full grown man with one arm, relocate a large tombstone by himself without any equipment, get stabbed in the neck, stabbed in the gut, shot 6 times, fall out a window and just walk away?
Not to mention Loomis flat out told us he isn't just a man, he's purely and simply evil.
The way I see it he was just discovering his capabilities as time went on.
Just a hot young guy finding his confidence
Yup
@@jayvee5686 yes
27:48 why is this movie segment so f***ing funny.
Motherfucking thank fucking you, so fucking much! 💚📼
Fun fact about Rob Zombie's Halloween II: The cop that gets killed outside of Annie's house is played by the guy who voices Patrick Starr on SpongeBob, he was also on the TV series Coach regularly. lol
That’s the wrong cop, but yes one of the cops is the guy who voices Patrick Star, he doesn’t get killed tho he’s in the shoot out at the end of the movie.
@@ToXicB0OtYhe didn't say spongebob though, he said Patrick
@@changotv5847 that’s my mistake, but he still mentioned the wrong cop. The actor that he mentioned is not the guy who voices Patrick Star it’s the dude that tells Sheriff Brackett that they found Micheal and Laurie at a abandoned shack.
@@ToXicB0OtY oh ok cool
Justice for Ben Tramer! Gone, but not forgotten 😪
I'm here, at your mom's house.
I saw Halloween II (1981) as a kid when it first aired on cable. I actually saw it before I saw the original but there were so many callbacks to the first film I was left wondering "what the hell happened in that other movie?"
Lol 😂 me af
Best Halloween II is the original from '81. It was scary, unlike the other two.
I'd like to see a review of Rob Zombie's first Halloween or an episode of what's his best and worst movies.
It can definitely be argued that Devils Rejects was his best.
Of his worst: gotta say Lord's of Salem
Rob Zombie's Halloween is my 2nd favorite Halloween movie
The cowboy kid that Micheal walks into in the original Halloween 2 is Dick Warlock’s son
I've always 100% justified Michael's acting in Halloween II as him being EXTREMELY injured lmao. I've always found H2 '81 to be extremely eerie, and I still do. I do have a tough time picking between that and Halloween 2018 as my favorite Halloween II. Zombieween II is the worst movie I have ever seen.
If you keep going with this you’ll get to “best 5th movie in a Halloween timeline” and the only option will be Halloween 6
I love it when you three guys review movies, please do more stuff together.
More Sean and Joe please! Great stuff!
1981 is the only good Halloween sequel. The Ben Tramer scene is the greatest moment in slasher movie history
Rob Zombie’s Halloween 2 is actually kinda scary af
It's not
It was interesting to be a kid in the 1990s because Halloween II was out of print for much of the decade. It wouldn't be until 1996-1997 when Goodtimes released their budget VHS of the film when I saw it. The local video store also only had Halloween, Halloween 4-5 and the current Curse of Michael Myers for rent. So it doesn't surprise me that a lot of people wouldn't see Halloween II until their teenage years, because by the time we were that age, Halloween II was readily available by Universal on DVD and it became a streaming favorite as well.
I always thought in zombies Halloween 2 Laurie was the killer and she was just an unreliable narrator. She wasnt linked to meyers, she was meyers. Her mind just couldnt what had happened to her and what she had become
Personally I enjoyed the original Halloween 2…namely the beginning and end.
It’s a guilty pleasure but not much really happens to warrant the movie sequel…more like a long, fun epilogue.
Great vid! I love seeing Tony with Sean and Joe. Halloween II is definitely my favourite of the franchise next to Halloween III. I read the reason why Dick Warlock moved slower and like a robot was because Debra Hill told him he was doing good and to keep doing that. Then years later she said that was all him which pissed Warlock off, I dont blame him for being pissed at that
Joe as Donald Pleasence is something that makes my life better...
Also, "Hack the Movie Dumpster" needs to be a thing. Add Johanna to this lineup and there's the show, then rotate in all the regulars. Perfek.
And @ 01:02:00 Have these guys NOT done Hard Boiled and Stranglehold?!
If Tony doesn't do it, we might have to cover it on our show because I love that movie! -Sean
That’s a damn good impression,I was looking to see if anyone else mentioned it,I wish he did the whole vid like that
Unrelated to the topic but the theme music for your show is so charming. Makes me happy every time I hear it.
The original Halloween 2 is my favorite, and probably my favorite of the Michael Myers sequels. While I enjoyed 2018, Michael doesn't seem to follow the same cat and mouse approach methodically stalking his victims like he did in the original, which hurts its premise in my eyes. I can certainly appreciate the gore and spectacle of it, but they wanted to ignore the other sequels and then turned him into Jason Voorhees again with just wanton slaughter for no reason. Plus, the film is a waste of Toby Huss. The man killed fifty men and his major contribution to the film was a crouch joke. 🤦♂️
Maybe the best Halloween II were the friends we made along the way? Ever thought about that? Freaking awesome episode guys, i listened to it while driving and was very disappointed when i arrived to my destination, because that meant i had to pause you.
I still think the "Halloween III" horror anthology movie was the best way to take this series. The franchise could have been much more creative than it ended up being.
Yes should just have myers in one of the episodes
Cpuld have one movie every halloween
Put all they're money into canned food and shotguns 🤣Nice deep cut Gremlins 2 reference Joe💚
Hands down Halloween II '81. Although a bit slow at times it is a worthy sequel with the look and feel of the original that adds to the original storyline..........in '81, they got rid of the Michael driving around nonsense and the cheesy dialogue...
Halloween II 1981 is my favorite movie in the franchise, with only Season Of The Witch possibly tied with it.
Halloween II (1981) for me
I've always wondered about Halloween 3. People act like it's such a great movie but people hate it because Michael Myers isn't in it, but the fact it has the Halloween 3 name has immortalized it forever, if it had just been called Season of the Witch, it would just be another B level horror film from the 80's that nobody remembers. So that is the best example of a positive/negative effect on something.
I disagree, I think if it had been called Season of the Witch, it would have achieved “cult” status. I means it’s got that same carpenter vibe that makes a good cult film.
IMOOC
@@Zebojr2kool Agreed
There was already a movie called SOTW and Michael Myers technically is in it.
It is a great movie.
You like it Bro!?
@@Zebojr2kool It's possible I guess, but probably unlikely. There's other great films like The Burning and House on Sorority Row that don't have cult followings.
Ben is not wearing overalls. A lot of people think he is but he actually has a dark windbreaker on and you can see the two strings hanging down in the front at the bottom of the jacket.
Great episode, great cast too! Always cool to see the dumpster guys in hack the movies
Сops shooting Michael down in Halloween 2007 was from workprint that leaked months before the premiere and before the reshoots. I saw it. Michael's escape is also entirely different in that one.
Have any links
2018 is the highest quality movie... but Halloween II had that irreplaceable turn-of-the-80s feel that makes it my sentimental pick.
I just lost my 3 legged cat to heart disease and I feel like a part of me is empty and alone thank you for sharing your videos to help some of us get through our day
This show hits its peak when these 3 are together 🙌🙌🔥🔥
Okay, you got me at Doc Brown! Well done!
@01:12:45 I've heard several people say they didn't like the scene in _2018_ w/Michael dropping all the teeth over the door of the stall while that Podcaster girl is poopin', but that was probably my favorite thing they did w/him in _2018._ I was honestly a bit disappointed when there weren't more instances of Michael fucking w/people & being super creepy in _Kills_ nor _Ends..._ I love that aspect of the character; as they portray him in a way that he's not just a _"shark"_ (as Carpenter has called him) nor a mindless killing machine. Instead, he gets off on causing panic, terror, & grief & implements a level of theatrics/artistry w/in the murders, & it fits into the vibe of that film particularly well.
Great Loomis impressions by Joe in this episode :)
3:26 Halloween ll (1981)
27:34 Halloween ll (2009)
1:02:40 Halloween (2018)
3:26, 27:42, 1:02:57
Always love when you guys are together. It's always so much fun
My mom had me watching horror movies when I was very young too, like 4 or 5 maybe younger. I always viewed the similarly to cartoons, I just knew it wasn't real.y sob lives horror movies too and he is 6. In my opinion we all turned out just fine!
The original
yea love when its a movie dumpster cross over. would love the whole crew doing one of these maybe for a Friday the 13th next time that rolls around lol
Actually in Halloween Ends, the bully that gets his face set on fire, is supposed to be Ben's grandson or a relative. In the book it goes more into details.
Sheri Moon Zombie will see you when the wind fucking changes in Mary Poppins Ends, "Spoon full o' tooty fuckin' fruity sugar!"
I really like all 3 movies. ...but the best of those 3 is Halloween 2018. It is the best because it has stolen and tweaked several key scenes from some of the previous movies as well as adding in some great new scenes of its own. ....The best scene in the 2018 movie is without doubt the opening at Smith's Grove which automatically breaks into Carpenters new updated Halloween theme tune.
Lmao 😂 the Rob Zombie Halloween 2 segment…I peed a little
Considering it’s the Midwest in October it literally could have been 5 o clock when she made that sandwich lol.
My favorite is Halloween 2 (1981)
Definitely Halloween 2018 because it stays the closest to John Carpenter’s original and makes Micheal scarier when he doesn’t have a motive and just kills anyone he come in contact with
I feel like I can just watch these three movies with you guys and just talk threw it cause we've seen them so much
YESSS!! hack the movies review! cheers Tony!
Since Dr. Loomis is literally my reason for watching ALL of the movies WITH him, NOT Michael or Laurie...I only TRULY care about the ones with him anyway, and the original II has his great Samhain speech, his look into the night after he touches the blood on the grass, and how he shoots Michael while Laurie cowers in fear behind him;) I'd care more about the supporting characters in all of them if they were HIS family since HE'S the actual hero. In Zombie's, he actually made Laurie a lot like me, and I really cared about what she went through, but he took EVERYTHING out of 2 that was about her trying to get through life and focused WAY too much on Michael and fodder. The new trilogy totally fails by not taking advantage of the new timeline to rewrite old characters now that Laurie is part of it, especially that it wasn't Jamie faking Michael out when she shot him...not to mention that all of Dr. Loomis from 2 to 6 and his willingness to lay down his life to save others has been WIPED OUT and they turned Laurie into him instead. BAD MOVE:/
That guy does the best pleasance/loomis impersonation 😂
Another awesome video review my favorite is the 2018 but gotta love the OG can’t wait for the workprint episode
😂😂😂😂 it's funny how tony mentioned zombie's Halloweens cause again that's exactly how I saw them took me about 2 years after Halloween came out to see it and I went to my shitty local theater and paid $10 to see Halloween 2 and was so mad I could have eaten with that 😂😂😂
Pretty sure Tramer had on a blue windbreaker not coveralls.
Tramer got what was comin' to him........
You guys are absolutely hilarious!!!!!
lmfao I'm with you Joe Halloween 2 original is underrated and I love how it takes place moments after the first film and yup Donald Pleasance as Loomis rocks yet again. 2018 a bit overrated and I hated the 3rd act with the new Dr Loomis going bad like wtf was that? especially so late into the film the dr goes bad like okkk?
Rob Zombie's Halloween 2 isn't terrible, just depressing as all Hell.
3 days in advance…really?
Y’all make Monday better
Hacking off into the movie dumpster… love it
36:19 - 36:40 I laughed for 5 minutes. 😂
COW!!
The original Halloween 2 scared me so much as a kid, now I’m a huge fan of Michael lol
Halloween 2,1981 I remember seeing it in theater solid follow up in my opinion
Love seeing Tony with the Dumpster Bros. I like the fact that the original Halloween 2 had what was meant to be a definitive ending. Michael and Loomis die. The end.
I like Rob Zombies, Jeff Daniel Phillips is rad
Halloween 2½: The Smell of Fear
I’d love to see a sequel for best Halloween 3
Halloween 3 sotw, halloween 4, h20, or kills
To explain simply which many seem to miss why is Micheal this or that he is possessed by the spirit of Halloween is why he was always referred to as the shape think of Micheal as the embodiment of the final destination death but for Halloween.
That resurrection mask is blocking Tony 😂
My God I don't know why I've never thought of it but with all these what's the best/ worst... Childs play what's the best Chucky movie. Great job on the episode another classic
Mr O’Rourke is in this one!
The big mask in the front looks like a Scooby Doo villain
I can’t believe Tony pronounced the “s” in Illinois. He really is becoming a caricature of himself…
I'd go with both 2018 and the original halloween 2. Can't wait to see what other spoopy episodes y'all do!
My personal favorites:
Halloween (1978)
Halloween 2 (1981)
Halloween (2018)
Halloween Kills (2021)
thats the plot line of halloween returns tony!!!!!!
Now we need a follow up to Resurrection and also H3 from RZ.
Didn't realize it was live release. I thought wow this is a short video
Halloween 4 & 5 was little okay with Tom tucker pretty good character.
"Good evening, I'm Michael Myers!
Why I'm in thorn cult and why I'm so not sure what going on the whole story?"
Let's Go Michael 🔪
Very little of HII was shot on a stage, lol. It was mostly shot in and around the same areas where the original was shot.
the original, why even ask.. The original Halloween II is better than most Halloween films and superior to the dumb remakes by blumhouse
Halloween 2 (1981) > Halloween (2018) >>>>>>>>>>> Rob Zombie's Halloween 2 (2009)
As a nurse in a hospital we do turn off 70% of the lights so u can distinguish between night and day. Also as a nurse if Michael shows up b**** good luck I'm out.
Hack The Dumpster.
This is one of the best episodes on your channel tony. Extremely funny and entertaining. Also, my new DnD character will be a penis-mancer. Its a hard role but I id hate to stiff my team.
Zavvi where using the discount code makes it the same price as walking into Walmart or Target… but you can still pay shipping! Lol
This topic makes my brain feel funny.
At first I thought this was gonna be Halloween 2, RZ Halloween 2, and Halloween Kills since kills is the sequel to 2018 lol
Thanks for this content 🇬🇧
Yeah! Halloween (2018) ROCKS!!!!! IS THE BEST SEQUEL, almost a masterpiece.
They sacrifices their first child through Michael
1981 Rick Rosenthals is the definitive, final and only sequel in the franchise. Everything else is just a what if? (for me)
I'll agree although I love part 3.
I agree 100%
The originial
badass always seeing Movie dumpster bros with Hack the movies Tony! No Jess :(. also Joe saying smoking in the house I wouldn't do that cause then the whole fucking house stinks 😂🤣😂 lol.
i like the one that followed the first one.
