Fieldsports Britain - expert catapult hunt

- Опубліковано 8 гру 2020
- Wayne is one of the country's top slingshot hunters - and he shows off his skills with his buddy Matt Lower. They are on a mooch around a Sussex farm permission looking for a pheasant for a pheasant for the pot, squirrels, rabbits and feral pigeons. That's not all. Bedfordshire gamekeeper Paul Childerley completes his rounds with an evening duck flight, trying out the new Eley 2½in steel cartridges. He also has to check what's eating the local rape crop and, thanks to the Zeiss DTI 3/35 thermal spotter, the answer is horrifying. We count 50 deer and hard in one shot. Chris Packham has put out a video on Twitter to com clean about the funding of Wild Justice? News editor Ben O'Rourke investigates. Charlie puts out the best of UA-cam's hunting videos in Hunting UA-cam, and David reads the news on the News Stump. It's all in #FieldsportsBritain

Never seen anyone do slingshot this much justice - the hunting celeb we didnt know we needed! Like he said it was a proper hunt
skill and patience played out in a dynamic environment
A friend of mine shot a dove in the throat with a Winchester .177 hand gun by luck. The next week he shot a mailman in his hat but luckily he had a Spanish maid who denied his involvement for legal reasons.
The distance and your accuracy seems unbelievable.
Lots of practice there
Since watching Waynes catty lessons its improved my shot and the tree top shots lesson Wayne put on utube. i followed exactly what he said and i got three squirrels clean kill head shots Wayne your my Hero keep up up the masterful sharp shooting ill be looking out for more lessons from you . my Staffi likes roast Squirrel for supper so we are on the regular mooch Thanks Wayne and thanks field sports
И за вас је убијање животиња у природи забавно !
Идиоти родили сте се од родитеља који су у крвном сродству инцест.
Wow, this video showcases some incredible slingshot skills in action! The accuracy and precision needed for hunting with a slingshot is truly impressive. It's not just about the thrill of the hunt but also the respect for nature and the environment. Kudos to the hunter for demonstrating great marksmanship while enjoying the outdoors. This video is a perfect blend of adventure and appreciation. Sir can you pin my comment?
Good stuff team, nuts to see a man shoot a squirrel with a catapult that a 100 men couldn't hit with a rifle! . Keep up the good work......looking forward to the Christmas special already!
This guy is an excellent shot, however, most of my buddies can shoot a squirrel no problem with a rifle. I myself use to get paid per hour to shoot ground squirrels after moving water on the farm as a kid.
Another great show, Fantastic shot on the pheasant by Wayne, no bruised meat or shot a perfect roaster to have with seasoned stuffing.
Cheers from the former American colonies. I just learned about this channel and have very much enjoyed it so far. It's great to see the field sports are alive and fairly well in Britain.
Parabéns lindo vídeo,👏👏👏👏💯👍
Awesome show and top shooting Wayne 👌
Great to see Matt shooting one of my early PR3 designs from 2014 lol....
Pleased to see it’s still doing the business after all this time 👌
Cheers John. He loves that frame! 👍
Do you actually design these catapults??
These professionals all seem to use what look like 'toy' catapults (without forearm support brace), but yet are obviously the best to be found.
Do you rate the Diablo and Pro Diablo catapults? In your professional opinion, are they proficient catapults, or just for show??
@@Sionnach1601 the catapults you talk about are the toy ones.. you don't need brace supports that's just a gimmick unless you are limp wristed.
Thank you for the shout out! That catapult work though... incredible skill and that hen bird will be pristine eating with a single lead to the neck.
Thankyou very much for the mention charlie keep up the work!!!
Great shooting Wayne and really well put together advert for the sport. Really enjoyed it.
Background beats on this episode were super. (The content itself is always super!)
I read the title and thought you guys were going to be launching 25 pound rocks at squirrels and birds. Was slightly disappointed to see them using slingshots lol.
Pains me to say it but Wayne is top of the game, well done buddy
Loved this! I would like more slingshot ones!
Thanks Toby. / Charlie
This is my favorite show. It lets one know what is happening.
I have a black widow. I’ve had for years Can’t hit a barn-door Must be my catapult hey. I’m really impressed with your unbelievable accuracy. Well done.
Those black widows are crap my friend,,make one from a tree fork that fits nice in your hand or buy a board cut from GAMEKEEPER John or one of the other makers ,,,I know you'll do alot better than you do with the black widow. 👍👍👍
All the best.
Yes you will struggle with a black widow the bands are way too heavy not necessarily the correct draw length and the arm brace restricts a correct hold plus the pouches are way way way too big
Phenomenal skill wayne....absolutely spot on mate
Great vid wayne. Wow, amazing shooting. top man. love it.
Great shot and a great guy to buy slingshots from
Great show as usual Thanks
What model bag are you using, what brand? this item is interesting to me.
Any recommendations on a decent slingshot brand? Recently got a fairly cheap one as a gift. Haven't used it much yet but I already have the feeling it won't last long or be too good for hunting. Bands are short, and with my long arms, definitely can't pull the bands back far enough for a stable hold. This one will probably just be a fun little plinker until all the bands break.
Wayne is the man behind Cattyshack
Amazing shooting, a true master
Great as always
Another awsome show :)
Great shooting Wayne 💥🎯
good man wayne i could see the joy
Do you prefer lead ammo over steel because its lighter and faster?
Got a slingshot during first lockdown. Had one as a kid so it brought back a lot of memories. Whilst on early morning walks with my family I’d get the odd rabbit or pheasant which I’d prepare and cook. It helped pass the time during lockdown. Now my 3 children have one and were all good shots. So walk days are slingshot days. Great fun brilliant stealth weapons.
Jmc 007 cant beat a walk about with the catty mate.
@@manofkentcatapultsgunsando5069 too right mate you take care. Have a nice Christmas and new year.
@@jmc0075 And you mate,,,,,Merry christmas
Isn't a slingshot a cord with a pouch that you swing around your head?
In which country can you go for a walk and kill a pheasant or rabbit as you please? Curious. Thanks 😊
Great shooting Wynne nice one
Another cracking show
Great , this is the first time seeing this vid what a talent your hand and eye coordination must be spot on keep it up .However i can't understand a word you are saying what is your accent ? where do you hail from ?it dosen't spoil the viewing though !!
Hi
So what type of catapult are you using, with what bands and of course from where and how much
Thanks
It's the Evo from Cattyshack.co.uk
Cracking shot Wayne
50 years ago i used 1/4 black square rubber. Just got interested again, gone full circle. Tell me what are these new bands, do they come in different strengths?
You can buy them as flat sheets and cut them to any width you like. / Charlie
@@fieldsportstv thankyou
My dad went into a hardware shop recently and asked for 1/4in square section rubber bands and they said they don't sell it - that apparently people use it to make catapults. He told them that that's how he intended to use it 🙂 / Charlie
Well sorry, but sod all that buggering about. I will buy a complete one from your guest gamekeeper john.
Some good shooting there . Great video 👍👌
I am an American brand new to your channel, and this is excellent content
Thanks 👍🏻
Very nice shooting!
Wayne is the best out there,,,,,,,,,,,,,apart from me💪😀
Can I just ask you a couple of questios about these catapults??
These professionals all seem to use what look like 'toy' catapults (without forearm support brace), but yet are obviously the best to be found.
Do you rate the Diablo and Pro Diablo catapults? In your professional opinion, are they proficient catapults, or just for show??
@@Sionnach1601 FLATBANDS require very little draw weight so the need for any sort of wrist brace is not needed ,,, on the whole a wrist brace did not really serve any purpose, for me anyway that is ...👍👍
Finally up to date
Charlie. I can't get past the anti-robot thingy. Tried code after code and it won't let me into the Packam item
Hi Pete - it should play at www.fieldsportschannel.tv/wildjusticefunding/ OK. Let me know if not. / Charlie
@@fieldsportstv I have tried to use the link to watch the Packam story. It asks me to log into Instagram or use my FB log in. I use FB and then can't find the video. When I try and click onto watch with Instagram, it just keeps trying to load and nothing happens.
Can you say me exactly what the draw weight your bands are
I want to practice with you . Do you do the courses or catapult one for the slingshot
Hi - check out cattyshack.co.uk
fantastic skill obviously honed from a young age
I use to hunt with slingshots like 5 years ago after like 15 years of normal hunting with guns and what a thrill and feeling it was to hunt animals with such a simple yet potent weapon. Almost felt like starting hunting all over again. to bad its not legal where i live now
Nothing wrong with a man doing a bit of rabbit or pigeon shooting in his OWN land to feed himself and his family.
Govts, the World over, are after getting waaayyyyyy out of hand with restricting the ordinary man from just honest simple living.
Yep you do have to work for them kills when hunting with catapults, I’ve had many a day where I’ve got home after hours in the field with the same amount of ammo as I left with, makes you appreciate the opportunities you do get a whole lot more as you can tell by his face after that pheasant kill 😁
Great video
Just getting back into field sports.
Can you add a link to a decent catapult supplier please.
Thanks in advance.
Thanks - check out Wayne's business: Cattyshack
@@fieldsportstv 👍
love the channel and the content but whats the deal with david and his 90 degree turns towards the camera? i think its funny but not sure if thats the intention.
What ib pressure
When he said uhhhhh looked liked the squrial did the same thing
What brand of catapult and ammo diameter were used to kill that squirrel that fell into the river??? Unbelievable accuracy and power...
Cattyshack
What brand and model is that slingshot?
It's a Cattyshack Evo
@@fieldsportstv Thank you.
love it
where can someone get a slingshot like those...
Catty shack
Any links to the legalitys for this
as a catapult hunter, you may like to carry spices, peppers, salt, and oil with you, so you can have a barbecue anytime when you get your prey.😁
Can someone point me in the right direction for a good first slingshot to hunt with please
Cattyshack is Wayne's company
Has anyone ever hunted guinea fowl with a catapult
I wanna try it back home in South Africa? Roughly at what distance can you dispatch one
Would have appreciated a brief explanation of the legal status for hunting with a catapult in the UK?
It's legal 🙂. There are species of wildlife which require certain calibres (deer), certain conditions (pest birds) and certain times of day (game birds) but we are happy that people use their common sense. / Charlie
Big Respekt wayne ✌
Nice "Thumb Grip"
💗💗💗💗💗
I swear I have seen you before
These professionals all seem to use what look like 'toy' catapults (without forearm support brace), but yet are obviously the best to be found.
Does anyone rate the Diablo and Pro Diablo catapults? In your pro opinions, are they proficient catapults, or just for show??
I haven't seen anyone on the cattie competition circuit using a slingshot with an arm brace. The best reason to use a brace is to guarantee the catapult is square to your hand, so avoiding hitting your thumb or fingers. With practice, you don't need a brace. Hope this helps. / Charlie
Do you eat feral pigeons or are they food for barn cats if there is any?
They usually go into the farm renderer.
Good short
Where can I get one of these slings
Cattyshack
Can you explain how to get into this
Hi - thanks for this. Please have a look at our films on this subject - you may be able to find a group who meet near you: www.fieldsportschannel.tv/category/subjects/catapults/
Insane 😆👍👍👍
crackin shots wayne
WHAT A SHOT on that tree rat.
BRAVO!
you kill it you eat it. respect
Why do u post 3 vids in under 2 mins you should split them up a bit
Takes me back to my youth, I forgot how effective the old catty could be.
I love nature and love seeing it protected and thrive as man has fucked everything eles up on this fine rock.... But with a broken system economic trouble I believe strongly ill will have no choice but to adopt these skills to get bye in years to come
Do you eat the ferals?
Nope
Fieldsports Channel Why shoot them then?
They eat feed and are a health hazard to livestock.
Fieldsports Channel fair enough 👍
In the US, Simple Shot sells great slingshots and accessories. Reasonable prices, and wonderful user support. A lot of fun!
Sure do that's the bands I'm using for hunting when I get some snow for rabbit and other game
@@Gunsnstuff2002 I have shot wrist rocket types since I was a kid. I bought a Torque and the little bb shooter. I’m a rookie, but I set up a catch box, with spinners, and got pretty good at 20 yards. Sling shots are a great rabbit hole (pun) to fall into. I’m hooked.
My Fathers Two Friends Went Catapult Poaching With my Father I’m Now 55 These Guys Original Lincolnshire Poachers
Take note other catty shooters; they had permission.
Are you eating the pigeons and squirrels?
Feral pigeons and squirrels no, pheasant and rabbits yes. / Charlie
👍
Wow idol
Hi
I thought this would be illegal as is using a bow in the UK
Not only is it legal, the RHS recommends it for garden pests 🙂. / Charlie
@@fieldsportstv Just checked and it seems you are correct. It seems crazy to me that you can hunt with a catapult, but not a bow. A bow seems a much more effective way to dispatch vermin.
Proud animal-lover, and also proud hunter, here, who loves his catty but is a useless shot!
Wayne's accent is a little tricky to understand 😉
Any tips to buying a good slingshot?
Visit Cattyshack
I don't know anyone selling slingshots probably best to make your own Cattyshack or gamekeeper John sell catapults.
Top catty shot
wow
Irgendwann möchte ich einmal mit ihm in ihrem Land auf die Jagd gehen. Wenn ich darf. Gruß aus Deutschland.
you can have a barbecue on the farmland now since you get your prey.🙃
It’s always done my dead in. We can hunt with a catapult but as a qualified bow hunter I can’t hunt with a bow.
Edit that bud
@@aaroni5074 I got it sorted. Thanks. Just got a bit ranting with the keyboard and didn’t see it.
@@Ashysand no bother lad. Have a good one 👍
Do these fellows actually eat the animals they are shooting?
I think you mean game not everything is a animal birds are just birds and yes that's the point apart from the ferals as they carry disease.
@@desertfoxxx98 birds are animals but otherwise yeah
do you eat your kills ?
Yes
@fieldsportstv if I was to use my catapult I'd have to use meat too great videos
Slingshot hunting
So satisfying when he kills.
so al;l your doing is firing lead bals over the countryside this is crap and shopuld be illegal
I really hope the prey would be well cooked.
Why are slingshots airguns ect..allowed and blowguns not or even bows uk law is so outdated blowguns can easily take medium game with a vital shot and broadheads if we are talking about the 60 cal ones, blowguns are probably safer no rocks exploding everywhere broken windows, and are basically lung powered airguns,no logical reason for why they are banned, law needs changed!
Sorry blowgun hunter here who moved to uk, ps these awesome things shoot 150-300 fps 7-10 ft pounds.theres a guy who took a black bear with one to the heart
